I've trusted only my NYC salon with my color for years, so trying someone new was a bit of a leap of faith. Ava absolutely exceeded my expectations. My color was gorgeous--truly one of the best I've ever had--and my blowout was fabulous. Ava is incredibly talented and every bit as good as the best colorists I've been to in NYC. She was also so warm and accommodating. I had forgotten to book a blowout, and she somehow managed to squeeze me in anyway. Everyone at the salon was wonderful, from helping me find an appointment around my crazy schedule to making me feel completely at home once I got there. Five very well-deserved stars for Ava and The Beach House Salon. I will absolutely be back. Just please don't all book Ava at once, because I still need to be able to get an appointment.

Best hair of my life--hands down…read more After a botched root touch-up at another salon in Yaphank, I was left with dark roots and didn't feel like my bleach-blonde self. I reached out to several salons asking to be contacted by text (since that's easiest for me), and Jess from The Beach House Salon was the only one who actually did. She responded quickly, asked for photos, and personally followed up--yes, the owner herself. When I arrived two weeks later, I was blown away. The salon is absolutely beautiful--cozy, beachy, and inviting. As someone raised on the California coast, it instantly felt like home. Jess explained everything clearly, with patience and kindness. I had a few bad experiences before, and she made me feel completely taken care of and never judged. She gave me baby lights, brighter highlights underneath (just how I asked), a Moroccan Oil nourishing treatment, a trim, a blowout--and my hair has never looked better. I've seen stylists across multiple states who couldn't get it right, and Jess nailed it on the first try. A golden, short blonde bob with my natural color showing through as highlights, but no depth or natural tone on the bottom half of my hair. It looks just like my inspo photo. Yes, it cost more than what I've paid before, but it was absolutely worth it for a full correction. I'd pay it again in a heartbeat. Everyone there made me feel welcome, like an old friend. I already booked my next appointment. They also have a small jewelry section inside the salon with some nice pieces--perfect if you're looking for a gift or something for yourself. If my memory serves me right, I also saw a few woven summer hats. Perfect for the beach. The salon works with a local jeweler who, I believe Jess said, curates the window display each month. If you're just waiting while someone gets their hair done, there are comfy chairs inside with a great selection of books. Outside, you'll find two benches and a table in front of the salon, and just behind it--next to the parking lot--there's a small park with green grass, flowers, and more benches. The whole neighborhood has a really nice feel, with several shops, places to eat or grab a drink, a bar, and even a movie theater right next door. It's a clean, charming area that's perfect for a stroll. You'll have no trouble finding something to do while you wait. And of course--the beach is right here too. For parking: there's a small public lot on Glovers Lane, just a few yards past the salon on the left. It's free, and I had no trouble leaving my car there for a few hours. Probably 10-15 spaces total. Honestly, the whole experience--from the neighborhood to the salon to Jess herself--was just amazing. If your hair needs help, or you just want a stylist who gets it, call Jess or one of the other stylists who work here. They're the real deal.

I specifically went to Fiore di Luna Monday, Feb 14, 2022 (Valentine's Day) to get my color,…read morehighlight and cut from owner, Dawn. I had read such wonderful reviews, and, believe me, based on the prior stylist from another salon who did my hair, I really needed Dawn. I walked in, verified my appointment with Dawn, and instead of getting her, I was passed over to another stylist. What?! Is this even professional? During the color job with the other stylist, I specifically asked if I was getting my hair cut (at least) from Dawn. I was told "yes," so I relaxed in my seat although all the time I was disappointed that another stylist, although very good, was still doing my hair. Then my heart dropped. When the stylist finished coloring and highlighting my hair, he proceeded to cut my hair. What??! It's not like I didn't speak up and got assured that Dawn would do my hair! In all my years of going to a salon (and an upscale one), and requesting only for the owner to do my hair, never was I once tossed over another stylist. Kudos to the stylist who did my hair...a lovely person. However, I went to Fiore di Luna, an expensive, high-end luxury place, to get my haircut from owner, Dawn! When the topic was diplomatically approached, I was told by Dawn. "Don't worry..you'll be very happy with this other stylist." May have been very true, but that wasn't the reason I took this trip to Fiore di Luna. Customers who go to Fiore, If you request the owner, make sure you get just that. I was deceived. Not a good feeling. Perhaps, when Dawn reads this, she will personally call me and make sure my next appointment will be with her and only with her to make up for this expensive but disappointing day. I hesitated from writing this review because I only wanted to write a positive review, but I thought other customers should be alert to the switch that was made on me, so it doesn't occur to them. The salon is really lovely. But, no one appreciates being "passed over."

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hair salon. DON'T GO HERE. I trusted that they were…read moreprofessional, and would do a good job on my hair. Wrong. I had called to book an appointment for highlights which I had not had since before Covid. Of note, my hair was in great shape pre-service. I was scheduled for a Saturday. Little did I realize that was a horrible mistake on my part. The salon was very crowded and the stylist was very busy. She actually ran out of the bleach solution she was using and had to run to the back mid way to grab the bag of bleach powder. She mixed it hurriedly right at the chair (no scales or measuring) and continued putting foils in my hair. Then I was put under the dryer to process while she cut someone else's hair. It was finished with a gloss. It looked nice enough at the end, but when I next washed it, it felt so rough and damaged in the shower. It was a rat nest. Permanently damaged. A few weeks later I went to another salon for a trim and the stylist told me my hair was gummy, and I had to have four inches cut off the ends. I KNEW IT. The stylist was more interested in squeezing in as many clients as possible TO MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE vs. being careful with my highlights and giving them the time and attention needed to come out correctly without damaging my hair. So I paid a few hundred dollars to get my hair ruined. What kind of place does this? Not a good one. If you value your hair, go elsewhere. FURTHER UPDATE in response to the salon's comment. This is NOT a fake review. Unfortunately. This is exactly what happened to me at your salon. Do you want the other salon to call you to attest that my hair was damaged and gummy? Why are you marking every negative review as fake? It is only fair to warn others of what happened to me. I did just look at your website to double check the name but you don't list the stylists who work there. It was an older woman.
