While visiting Dublin we decided to try something close to our hotel other than the restaurant at…read morethe hotel. We went by Paulie's Pizza & the place was packed. Which is a good sign. They had no availability so we made a reservation for later on in the evening. When we returned at our scheduled time the place was still packed & we were seated upstairs. The place was loud & crowded with 2 different birthday parties going on upstairs. We decided to stay since we were hungry. We ordered drinks & looked over the menu. Our orders included the SLOW-BRAISED BEEF BOLOGNESE, FRESH TAGLIATELLE PUTANESCA & the NEW YORK PIZZA. The food was absolutely delicious! The Bolognese was meaty with just the right combination of ingredients. The PUTANESCA had the perfect combination of salty goodness (thanks to the capers & olives) that made the dish pop with flavor. Hubby has a dairy allergy so we shared the New York pizza without cheese with extra sauce. This was the absolute 1st time we've ever had the amount of sauce they put this pizza & it was perfect. The extra sauce helped to keep the crust from drying out during the cooking process so we were excited to actually see this. (Extra sauce in this amount is a rarity in most places we've been to) Paulie's staff members were ALL extremely friendly & polite helping to make the loud experience much better. As a group we decided this had been one of the absolute best meals we had eaten during our visit to Dublin. The flavors truly exploded in our mouths making each bite a delicious experience we were sad to see come to an end. If you are looking for some great Italian food during your time in Dublin give Paulie's a try! We don't t think you'll be disappointed.

I ordered a margarita pizza and it was delicious and a good portion. We saved room for dessert and ordered the brownie, which was also quite yummy. A good spot for pizza and pasta.

Tried to find the closest pizza place, and the Coke Lane pop up at Lucky's showed up on our map. Just a short jaunt from the Guinness Storehouse, this place was an absolute godsend. Coke Lane's stand and wood fired oven is set up in the backyard of Lucky's bar (which is a great place to hangout btw). The pizza here was damn good. Orders are placed in the backyard, and they bring the pizza out to you (even if you're sitting inside). We had the margherita and the Scarface pizza, and both were excellent. The crust was cooked to perfection and just the right amount of char and chewiness. Don't think I've eaten pizza that fast! Being from NYC my standards for pizza are pretty high, and Coke Lane definitely is some legit wood fired pizza. Highly recommend dropping by if you're looking for some eats in the area.

It was 10 something PM and there was only Frank Ryan's bar we couldn't find the pizza. We went inside and they serve the pizza at the bar. We did not have high expectations we just wanted some food before going to bed and the pizza was AMAZING! We've been to Italy and to all the best pizza places in the US and this pizza was on the same level. I would definitely recommend.
