I like this place. Anytime I need a quick turn around on something they are always available to get it done within 24 hours. Yes you will pay for an up charge on what's being done but that's more than reasonable when you ask a business for expedited services. I have come here multiple times and always leave satisfied. I made rank and had my dress blues updated with services stripes as well. I know there a lot of small businesses like this around. Not recommended at all. Came to this place because the advertising in the window said military uniforms. I explained to the lady exactly what I wanted on my uniform suit jacket and even left her my old suit jacket for reference. I just wanted her to sow on patches on a new suit jacket for me. Paid extra for rush service and came out to be super over priced. When I came to pick up my jacket it was definitely not what I wanted which I tried to explain to her. This is where the lady's attitude went over the top, she refused to listen and proceeded to tell me about how experienced she was on these uniforms. She showed me her work on MALE Navy uniforms that were NO WHERE near the uniform I had brought in. Again, saying she wasn't wrong and that I was incorrect. And even then, if I wanted my patch upside down, it is still MY uniform and I wanted it a certain way which I explained to her when I dropped it off and again left a reference for her to look at. Then she says she can fix it for an additional $10, when that was HER mistake in the first place, this was already $60 for just two patches and a 4 day rush job. Decided to just leave it at that and go down the street to Valerie's, definitely much better priced, did a magnificent job and even faster turn around! read more

We had initially wanted the sides to be taken in and have it shortened a bit but after consulting the seamstress, she was very helpful in pointing out some of the downsides of what we thought we wanted. She gave great guidance and charges a fair price. She had the suit done within the week and we couldn't be happier with the alterations! Took in 8 items to be hemmed. Paid $132. Made sure that the owner had written everything down and it was the proper number inches each thing was to be hemmed. Picked them up and my husband went to put on his brand new jeans a couple days later and she had hemmed them 24 inches instead of 29 inches. Took them back to the shop, and she refused to do anything. "Not her responsibility!" Have used this place for years and given her lots of business. Critical: Professionalism, Quality I would not recommend this place to anybody, ESPECIALLY if you are wanting to get something super important altered, such as wedding attire. I was charged nearly $200 for a bridemaids dress to be hemmed an inch and taken in slightly at the waist (which should have been the first red flag as this is a high price for these things), only to get it too short and not fitted at the waist at all.. When I came back to explain that it was not what I asked for, she was extremely rude and unprofessional, which was shocking to me because she was not this way when I had initially come in for the alteration appointment. She basically told me that I should try to return it to the company I bought it from because I wasn't going to get any money "out of her." She refused to even give me a partial refund. So now I am out $200 and have a poorly fitting dress that I have to figure out what to do with... I came here in desperate need of a suit tailored from the jacket, pants, and even the dress shirt to go with it. She gave me a reasonable price and she had done it earlier than what we initially agreed on. She hemmed the pants flawlessly and the jacket was fixed to the proper length and she added beautiful buttons. The dress shirt was also fitted nicely. She asked me to try on the suit and shirt to get my measurements and opinions on how I wanted it done. What I loved was that she gave me input on what I wanted done to make sure everything was perfect. Was quoted $200 for cutting an inch off of a ball gown dress. When asked why so expensive she didn't have an explanation and said she was the cheapest in the area. Couldn't believe the cost of the alterations considering I only paid 90 for the dress its self. We came to an agreement of 170 for payment but even that was extreme high for the little she cut off the dress :( read more
