Last one before they close on Sunday 4/20/2025. Although Miyoshi Ramen isn't one of those higher end Ramen shops, or even the most authentic, they have remained my favorite Ramen spot for over the last 10+ years! My husband, family members, and friends have had many, many memories coming here for years! We've always had our favorites!! My all time favorite dish here: Tan Tan Ramen with extra egg! The service here is always fast and friendly! The same person, always there taking our orders and putting up with out craziness. He even knew our orders by heart at one point when we all still lived in Kailua, and stopped in once or twice a week! We're sad that one of our favorite spots are closing, but we'll always be able to remember the memories we've made coming here to Miyoshi Ramen! read more

My favorite thing to eat here is their yakisoba. I usually get it with pork or chicken but tried the seafood this time. It was delicious. Their sauce is just perfect and the vegetables (cabbage, carrots) stir fried to the exact doneness leaving a crunch but wilted enough. You can place your order on their website for pick up or delivery. I did pick up and it gave me an estimate of when my order would be ready. I was updated through the process and when my order was ready via text. https://miyoshiramenkailua.com/ If you decide to eat there. Small quaint restaurant with about six tables. read more

Had the tan tan ramen and was good. Service was fine and place was clean and comfortable. Was a little perplexed by their AI generated photos of sushi on their website. It made me think it was a scam site that would take my credit card and never deliver. So I drove in instead of ordering online. read more

Decent ramen for take out. I like ramen, not a huge connoisseur but the wonton ramen was good. Homemade wontons and good noodles. Portion wasn't huge but the price wasn't crazy either. Also ordered a side of katsu curry, $5 for katsu and $3 for curry? The curry portion was large but not worth the price. read more

This place was excellent! It is a small local place, but all so delicious! The service was attentive and kind, and we loved the ramen. Better than any we've had in Houston! The Mabo tofu ramen had an excellent spice to it and was just truly amazing. The eggs though- they stole the show! They were cooked absolutely perfectly, the texture and flavor was incredible! Such a great spot! read more

Little shop in Kailua town. 61degrees and raining all day. Needed some hot soup and found this place after yelping. Had the Won Ton. No pix. Was cold and hungry. Pretty much like street vendor taste. Beautifully flavored broth. Was almost a shame because when I asked for mustard, they gave it me in the dish with the shoyu already added. I just picked out the mustard used it. Using the shoyu would have made it too salty for my taste. Next time, yes there will be a next time, I'll ask them for mustard, no shoyu. read more

I've been ordering delivery from Miyoshi the last year+ but I'm so glad I got to finally dine in the other day! The gentleman that checked us in was very thorough in checking our covid cards and could've been nicer about it. They have a handful of tables inside and also a table for two outside on the sidewalk. They removed the flags across the door so it's easier to enter now lol. I got the Combo A (tan tan ramen w/ gyoza) and kimchi fried rice with chicken. The tan tan was great and way bigger than I expected for a combo. The fried rice was huge and gave me leftovers for like 4 extra meals. read more

This place is great! Conveniently located, lots of parking and decent food. Lots of options and reasonably priced, especially their combos. We have gotten food here several times, both for sit down and for take out. It's definitely a "no frills" kind of place. Nothing outstanding about the inside or the food or even the service, but there is nothing bad about anything. It's never crowded, there is never a wait, ordering take out is seamless and they've never messed up. Again, nothing fancy, just a solid dining experience. read more

Lil' ramen shop hole in da wall ! Teen boy & I had a ramen fix today so, "Miyoshi Ramen " in Kailua was convenient. As we entered,I asked if we could dine in,server said "yes, come in ". They had hard copies of the menus that were laminated & was given a clipboard to write our info on. He also put down a bottle of sanitizer.(see pic) We kinda knew what we wanted because of the great advertising board outside. See pics to see what we ordered!!! (Char Siu Ramen & Won Ton Ramen)First,I learned u must taste the soup. It was ono! My won tons were delightful! Won ton pi's (skins/wrappers) were thick and chewy! Meat was surprisingly citrusy! Wow ! I love it ! Our char siu was tender, richly marinated & oh so tasty! Prices were just right. Being the teen that he is,he left hungry though...Even after slurping all the soup! I gave Miyoshi 5 stars because the ramen we ordered today was oishii ! Maybe the service could have been more friendly, the decor inside needs some help but it was clean & saw server wiping the menus. I'd like to try other things next time! Parking is free behind Whole Foods & fronting Longs Drugs. Go check it out! read more

I enjoyed my lunch at this small, cozy, clean restaurant located next to Whole Foods in Kailua. There's about eight small wooden tables, which were pretty much filled during the time we were there. There were quite a few Japanese tourists having lunch here, I guess because of their familiarity and comfort level with ramen. (There are also a lot of Japanese tourists sightseeing and shopping in Kailua.) I had the shoyu ramen and mini chicken katsu curry rice combo ($10.95), which was artistically served in a large black ceramic bowl with a black ramen soup spoon. I loved the ramen, which was a little chewy and not overcooked. The broth was very tasty (no msg) and was served hot, however, I prefer it piping hot so that it doesn't get cold by the time you're finished. There were lots of bright green choi sum, large pieces of char siu, and a few kamaboko garnishing the ramen. The chicken katsu curry over rice was also very good, as the curry was very flavorful, and the chicken katsu had the right amount of panko crunch. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miyoshi-ramen-kailua?select=6raqYVgvx_zbBqS2eP_WVQ http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miyoshi-ramen-kailua?select=shOe3pUb5djO4e7_2s5OoQ There is a reasonably-priced daily special, such as ramen or some type of rice with three pieces of gyoza, ranging from $6.95 to $7.75, which seems to be a good buy. They also offer some chef specials which I would like to try the next time I'm there: black sesame ramen, shio ramen, unagi combo, shrimp tempura udon, shrimp tempura curry rice, and veggie croquette curry rice. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Our orders promptly came within five to ten minutes after ordering. Prices are reasonable for what you get. An added bonus was using the Yelp check-in for 10% off of the entire bill! We parked in the Kailua Shopping Center parking lot, behind of Whole Foods and walked to the front towards Kailua Road. This might be a problem for those who might have difficulty walking, as the parking spaces are really close to the restaurant. Overall, a nice place to have lunch if you're in Kailua. read more

While waiting for my yoga class to start i decided to check some places around that i havent tried and then i saw a black sesame ramen soup served here and since i love black sesame ice cream i thought about giving this place a try! (Even that they only have 3 stars) And when i come here they tell me they dont sell that ramen anymore!!! :( Anyways, here the review: -Ambience: place is small, may need some mopping here and there but not bad. -Service: waitress was super nice and friendly. 10+ points for her! -Parking: you can park in whole foods or longs parking and walk here. -Food: Since they dont sell the black sesame anymore i decided to try their tan tan ramen. I guess it is true, this is a solid 3 stars place, the egg was good, the char siu too but there is only 1 piece but i didnt care for their broth or noodles. I mean, it wasn't horrible but you definitely have better options when it comes to ramens. read more

Awesome. Chicken Fried Rice is our go-to. Dine in and takeout options. Chicken Wings are awesome!

Miyoshi Ramen will always hold a special place in my heart. My husband took me here for our first date, and years before when I was angry the Patriots were in the Super Bowl my sister took me here because they were the only restaurant not playing the game lol The atmosphere is so quiet and calming, even it is a bit small, I love it all. It reminds me of what a ramen shop is, a quiet place to just eat and share stories with whoever you are lucky enough to be there with. The food was delicious. My husband always gets the same thing, Chicken Katsu with fried rice, while I get the Tonkotsu Ramen with Gyoza on the side. read more

Amazing looking menu, but their hours of service (HOS) are incorrect. I showed up at 9:45 PM and they were pitch black. I'd guess they were out around 9-9:15 by how deserted the restaurant was. It's a shame because their menu, as mentioned, sounds amazing. Maybe I'm particular, but if you can't even manage your HOS, I'd be skeptical of the managing of the food/service. read more

We like the fried rice char siu- sometimes check the specials on dry eraser outside -they have lunch specials that include free gyoza. $8.99 We buy two plates for dinner. Free parking in rear, LONGS side...walk along the small driveway or use the sidewalk it's safer. They accept phone orders & credit cards. Small clean little restaurant, it's not usually full. So getting a seat it easy. Our food orders are usllay ready within 5-10 mins. read more

I love Miyoshi! I am a huge fan of ramen/curry houses. They have great service and they always make my fried rice perfect. I've tried their ramen a couple of times, noodles were slightly chewy, but not soggy. I also enjoy their gyoza. It's pan fried, and isn't too crunchy or greasy. This is a review of their curry. I normally get the chicken katsu curry with fried rice. Miyoshi does katsu so good! Some ramen/curry houses either over fry their katsu or it lacks in flavor. Miyoshi seasons their katsu perfectly. They also give a generous amount of food, (especially when you order fried rice). I think their actual curry sauce is just 'good' rather than 'amazing' compared to other ramen houses. Be that as it may, they are primarily a ramen house and overall make my food delicious. Dishes start at $9.75 House special combos $12.95 Daily special combos $9.25 Fair prices, good food, generous portions and great service. read more

Super friendly service. Small eating area. Got the Monday special shoyu ramen and gyoza. Ate the gyoza in with the ramen and also got a chicken katsu ramen. We added the spice paste ourselves that they gave us in a small dish and when paired with the broth and ramen, it was delicious. Since I grew up in Japan, I'm very picky when it comes to ramen. Despite some great reviews on Yelp, I was so disappointed . When we walked in there was 1 table occupied. The waitress wasn't too bright, I know that's mean and I'm sorry. Maybe she was having an off day. I ordered the special which was Tan Tan ramen with 4 piece gyoza. The waitress mumbled something about it not being available and I could order a 3 piece gyoza instead of four. I didn't understand it and told her my friend and I were going to share the gyoza and wanted to order what was on the menu. She told me I couldn't get the 4 piece, it had to be 3 even though the menu says 4 pieces. Not wanting to keep going around in circles, I asked if I could order the 6 piece gyoza and cancel the combo. I'd order ala carte instead. She mumbled something which I assumed was an ok. I didn't get why I couldn't get the special which was on the menu but I could get the 6 piece. Oh well. Typically ramen is made fast but this was way too fast. When my meal hit the table about 5 minutes after placing our order, there were 4 pieces gyoza! I asked her about that and she told me she changed it because the 4 piece was cheaper than the 6 piece. Huh? There was no 4 piece gyoza option on the menu, it only came with the special. I didn't understand. I asked her about it and she said it wasn't the combo nor was it the special. To this day, I still don't get it. My ramen sucked. Can I say sucked? It was terrible. My chasui tasted as if it sat in the freezer ever since chasui was first discovered. It had some horrible freezer burn taste. My ramen was luke warm at best. The broth was alright, but not what I expected. It wasn't flavorful. After a few bites, I gave up. Good thing the waitress gave us 4 piece gyoza instead of 6 because our gyoza was cold and I mean refrigerator cold. Maybe they forgot to heat it up. It was bland. We ended up not eating it. My friend didn't finish his udon either. We were both disappointed. Maybe I went on a really bad day. When we paid I asked the waitress about the gyoza being 3 piece instead of 4 when the menu offers 4 piece as it's combo. She couldn't articulate to me why it was only 3. Then I had a thought, I asked her if it was because of the weekend and she said it was and brought us a completely different menu that's for the weekend....er um ok. I think you should've given us that menu from the start. The nice thing about this place is the ambiance. It's set up just like a ramen shop in Japan. Just didn't like the ramen. Since I live on the other side of the island, I probably won't be back here. I don't know why I always have bad luck with these kinds of ramen places. It's menu is just like ramen ya..which should've been my clue. Rod U?? Where were you when I need ramen advice? read more
