Although Miyoshi Ramen isn't one of those higher end Ramen shops, or even the most authentic, they have remained my favorite Ramen spot for over the last 10+ years! My husband, family members, and friends have had many, many memories coming here for years! We've always had our favorites!! My all time favorite dish here: Tan Tan Ramen with extra egg! The service here is always fast and friendly! The same person, always there taking our orders and putting up with out craziness. He even knew our orders by heart at one point when we all still lived in Kailua, and stopped in once or twice a week! My favorite thing to eat here is their yakisoba. I usually get it with pork or chicken but tried the seafood this time. It was delicious. Little shop in Kailua town. 61degrees and raining all day. Needed some hot soup and found this place after yelping. Had the Won Ton. No pix. Was cold and hungry. Pretty much like street vendor taste. Beautifully flavored broth. Was almost a shame because when I asked for mustard, they gave it me in the dish with the shoyu already added. I just picked out the mustard used it. Using the shoyu would have made it too salty for my taste. Next time, yes there will be a next time, I'll ask them for mustard, no shoyu. read more

I've been ordering delivery from Miyoshi the last year+ but I'm so glad I got to finally dine in the other day! The gentleman that checked us in was very thorough in checking our covid cards and could've been nicer about it. They have a handful of tables inside and also a table for two outside on the sidewalk. They removed the flags across the door so it's easier to enter now lol. I got the Combo A (tan tan ramen w/ gyoza) and kimchi fried rice with chicken. This place is great! Conveniently located, lots of parking and decent food. Lots of options and reasonably priced, especially their combos. We have gotten food here several times, both for sit down and for take out. It's definitely a "no frills" kind of place. Lil' ramen shop hole in da wall ! Teen boy & I had a ramen fix today so, "Miyoshi Ramen " in Kailua was convenient. As we entered,I asked if we could dine in,server said "yes,come in ". They had hard copies of the menus that were laminated & was given a clipboard to write our info on. While waiting for my yoga class to start i decided to check some places around that i havent tried and then i saw a black sesame ramen soup served here and since i love black sesame ice cream i thought about giving this place a try! (Even that they only have 3 stars) And when i come here they tell me they dont sell that ramen anymore!!! :( Anyways, here the review: -Ambience: place is small, may need some mopping here and there but not bad. -Service: waitress was super nice and friendly. 10+ points for her! -Parking: you can park in whole foods or longs parking and walk here. -Food: Since they dont sell the black sesame anymore i decided to try their tan tan ramen. I enjoyed my lunch at this small, cozy, clean restaurant located next to Whole Foods in Kailua. There's about eight small wooden tables, which were pretty much filled during the time we were there. There were quite a few Japanese tourists having lunch here, I guess because of their familiarity and comfort level with ramen. I had the shoyu ramen and mini chicken katsu curry rice combo ($10.95), which was artistically served in a large black ceramic bowl with a black ramen soup spoon. I loved the ramen, which was a little chewy and not overcooked. The broth was very tasty (no msg) and was served hot, however, I prefer it piping hot so that it doesn't get cold by the time you're finished. There were lots of bright green choi sum, large pieces of char siu, and a few kamaboko garnishing the ramen. Miyoshi Ramen will always hold a special place in my heart. My husband took me here for our first date, and years before when I was angry the Patriots were in the Super Bowl my sister took me here because they were the only restaurant not playing the game lol The atmosphere is so quiet and calming, even it is a bit small, I love it all. I love Miyoshi! I am a huge fan of ramen/curry houses. They have great service and they always make my fried rice perfect. I've tried their ramen a couple of times, noodles were slightly chewy, but not soggy. I also enjoy their gyoza. It's pan fried, and isn't too crunchy or greasy. This is a review of their curry. I normally get the chicken katsu curry with fried rice. Miyoshi does katsu so good! Some ramen/curry houses either over fry their katsu or it lacks in flavor. Miyoshi seasons their katsu perfectly. They also give a generous amount of food, (especially when you order fried rice). I think their actual curry sauce is just 'good' rather than 'amazing' compared to other ramen houses.
