I was on the hunt for a Napa sweatshirt and a useful reddit post guided me to Miyamo, which was walking distance from the Oxbow Public Market. Miyamo is a boutique with women's clothing, jewelry, etc. and, to my delight, a variety of Napa branded items. It had the exact one I wanted, which was buttery soft with a bit of a cropped length and comes in various colors. I picked up a pretty mauve one, which my daughter promptly claimed for her own and put on. In an effort to reclaim my sweatshirt, I spent the rest of the trip looking for kid sized Napa sweatshirt for my daughter. I ended up buying her one from another retailer for nearly the same price, even though it was not nearly as soft. It seriously made me wish that I had just purchased 2 from Miyamo right from the outset. read more

The owner Becky went above and beyond to get me a swimsuit they had already sold out of!!! I wrote a simple message on instagram asking if they would get more in stock, and she made it happen. Not only did she do that but she ordered me two sizes to make sure it would fit. Her team ( Kristin) had amazing customer service and was so helpful!!!! Never have I felt so comfortable shopping. I not only left with my swimsuit but a super cute romper as well. Shout out to Miyamo and their outstanding job well done. I will be back! read more

On March 13th (yesterday) early evening, I saw a sweat shirt that is similar to what I have been looking for when I was walking by, and my husband and I walked in. The young lady sitting at the register looked at us with resting bitch face, but didn't greet us. I watched how she treated other customers too, but she didn't even thank the customers who purchased clothes. We ended up leaving the store without buying any. BUYER BEWARE! I wanted to exchange a necklace that I bought for my daughter for her birthday. It was not even opened. The clerk tells me all jewelry sales are FINAL. "It says so on the receipt" she tells me. Hmmm, I was interested in exchanging it and probably spending more money. I'm a local and I've always liked this store. Clearly, they are not versed in customer service. Many places to shop in Napa. This one just got dropped from my list or recommendations to friends. read more

Came to Miyamo today around 3:45pm. I was the only customer in the store and I asked the lady working at the front desk if I could try on some items. She looked at me and shouted "WHAT?". I proceeded to repeat myself and asked her if I could please try on jeans. She then looked back down to her desk and barked at me "grab whatever you want." She was so incredibly rude that we instantly left the store. As we were walking out she did not even apologize for her rude behavior. Do not shop here. There are other wonderful boutiques in this area that actually deserve your time. Just read through additional reviews and it seems as though horrendous customer service is the brand of this store. read more

I have been going to Miyamo for over 20 years. Becky, the owner, is not only an amazing human, but she has fashion sass. Great clothes at a really reasonable price is all you'll find in her boutique. And as so many shops and business' come and go in this valley, she has remained. I sincerely believe it's cuz she's the bees knees. But also because she offers current, adorable, affordable items at a fraction the cost you might find elsewhere. There are always smiling and great staff to welcome and assist you in anyway needed. We walked into Miyamo today (3/24/21) and the woman clerk was so rude to us that we looked around for 1 minute and left. When we walked in the door she asked, "Are you looking for something in particular?", to which we answered, "no we're just looking." Really great store with a wonderful selection of clothes of all styles and great customer service the past few times I have been in. As much as I love their clothes because they offer such a great selection of well-known brands such as Joe's Jeans and Free People they also sell brands that aren't as well known but have the same impeccable quality. Additionally, they have an amazing collection of jewelry. My favorites are the gold dainty initial necklaces displayed in the front of the store. Their shoes are cute too- both super cute trendy sandals and boots when I have been in. The two ladies working last time I went in were super friendly and helpful, greeting me as I entered the store and opening a dressing room for me when they noticed I had gathered a lot to try on so I could continue shopping. Being in the customer service business I know how important it is to acknowledge each and every client that comes into your shop's door. It's just good business. When I walked into the Miyamo, with my sons the sales associate stood there and chatted with her friend and never said a word to me even after her friend left and we were the only ones left in the store. If the phone were ringing off the hook or UPS was making a delivery or she was ringing a sale or taking inventory I could understand. Maybe she was tired! Adorable store in downtown Napa! Each section is sorted by brand, including hair accessories, jewelry, clothing, shoes. Particularly liked the jewelry, as many of the collections support social causes around the world. The prices are about on par with what you'd find at a chain Urban Outfitters or For Love 21 and would rather shop without the crowds any day! The customer service here is sincerely awful. I came in, in a rush, trying to find an outfit for a performance. I had to go up to the only old lady working because she would not approach me. C'mon... You work retail in the Napa Valley and you don't approach your customers? I asked if she had any recommendations and her answer was, "I don't know." I had to wander around and find my own outfit, which is fine, whatever. But sadly, since I had no time, I had to give this business my money. Super cute boutique with clothing & accessories on trend. Prices were very reasonable. Most of the name brands were unfamiliar, but they also have some Free People items. Not always looking for known name. brands. That's the beauty of boutiques...trendy designers who are willing to take a risk on design. Didn't find a whole lot of competing items that I was torn to choose from, BUT found ONE absolutely adorable romper that I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. I will definitely get LOTS of compliments on this gem!! I normally wear a XS or S, but this romper was only available in M so I took a chance to try it on because it looked smaller the size noted. Smiley face when you wanna buy stuff, straight face when you ask for a return. And FYI, no return on accessories, they won't tell you when you buy it as most of the shops do, and when you ask for a return, they point to a tiny line on the board saying "no return on accessories", seriously, hidden at the bottom and you'd want a magnifier to see it. When the stuff you bought doesn't fit, they give you a straight forward solution, "just give it as a gift to your friends", good we're in holiday season now. read more

I came in to the Napa location today with high hopes after the Davis location had shut down. Unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. The two gals working did not pay any attention to a single person in the shop. Mind you there was about 6 people in this tiny boutique. The employees were talking to each other the whole entire time. Both of these gals paid no mind to anyone in this shop. Didn't ask for help, say hello, assist anyone. It was just gossip. I walked around this shop for about 15 minutes looking at the clothes until I could not stand the gossip. For shoppers, it makes their customers uncomfortable. A boutique should be somewhere where a customer can feel good while walking out. These two girls could have made a sale for the owner, instead they left me feeling bad and I'm sure other guests. I feel with small business, this was all wrong. If customer service is like this, it won't be long until this store ends up like the Davis location and shuts down. I will not be back. I purchased a really cute zodiac constellation necklace here; my coworker has one and I fell in love with it. Sadly, it is smaller than a choker and just doesn't fit. I went to return it and was told all jewelry sales are final sale. I'd be fine with that except the receipt does not say, under the return policy, anything about jewelry and the gal who sold it to me said nothing about it being final sale. If this is the case, it needs to be explicitly detailed somewhere--anywhere. If stores like Forever 21 can tell every customer at every transaction that all jewelry sales are final, surely a nicer boutique can. Judging from other reviews of Miyamo, I'm not the only person entirely unsatisfied with this shop which is really unfortunate. read more

I've shopped here on and off since they opened. At 1st found them to be fresh and trendy. They still are but the prices are way to high. Ive never come away thinking I got a great deal. Their sales items are typically no more than 20% off. When your talking a top for 118.00 marked down to 90.00, is not much of a "sale". Some name brands, Free People, which are sold at full retail can be found elsewhere for less. Others, especially their jeans are unknown brands selling for a price that makes you wonder, why so pricey? It sems that the owner buys a majority of her clothing at the LA District, then marks up her prices by 80%. My suggestion: Offer better price points and you may see an increase in sales and repeat business. read more

I have no issues with this store! I love the clothing and the customer service is usually great, but the last time I was in the store the young lady with silver/blonde hair was on her phone the entire time and didn't notice I was in the store. She never acknowledged me or asked me if I needed help. Finally when I asked for help she snapped at me. Later in the evening, I was waiting for my son at the Kennedy Park Skate Park and I saw the same young lady smoking pot in her car with friends. This shop is always a fun stop for me! They don't carry too much, making it easy to go through, and the stuff they do carry are pieces that are stylish, feminine, and comfortable - most of which can be worn night or day, depending on how you dress it up.
