The salad was large enough to feed two people, & there was only one of me! Loved the flavor & felt good eating it! Goat cheese & produce were incredibly fresh. Came with bread/butter on the side - as an American it looked like banana bread - however it was NOT (sad face); it was a plain loaf. The food here was fantastic and very reasonably priced at the same time! For anyone who likes healthy food, salads or who has certain diet restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, paleo etc), then I'd really recommend this place! For salads and sandwiches you can choose from the menu or make your own by selecting ingredients from the deli. They have a bigger choice than regular deli to include things like roast and smoked salmon, chickpeas, beetroot, cherry tomatoes in addition to the usual stuff. You can also choose between a lettuce or pasta base if ordering salad. They also have a nice breakfast and brunch menu, as well as hot mains like noodles, quesadilla, stews and soup. Prices are overall pretty cheap, you can eat here for less than €10. The staff were pretty nice, not much to say there, and the cafe itself was fairly clean with nice seating. However it does get full at lunch time on weekdays since it's near the hospital, but they do take aways as well. read more

Hands down the best food experience I've had from a mid price food establishment in ages. Due to spending lots of time visiting a relative at the nearby hospital, i needed a place close by to eat and Mixgreens was recommended. They have an extensive menu that covers breakfast, brunch, salads and sandwiches, hot pots, grilled burgers and Mexican food, deserts and a decent coffee/beverage selection. My SO and i tried: * Beef and Guinness hotpot * Spring onion mashed potato * Wok fried strips of beef udon noodles with broccoli * Orange Polenta cake with cream * Chili Con Carne Their website claims "our vision is to serve you, our customer good, healthy food, fast." and from our three trips to two of their locations, they actually followed through! Everything we ate was extremely tasty, well seasoned and tasted as if it had been freshly made (rather than frozen) and the portions were also generous. The meat was tender and tasted like it was of good quality. Also found the staff to be friendly and i really liked that their food boxes, cups, napkins and cutlery are an eco-friendly product which is fully compostable. I only wish that someone would bring Mixgreens to Canada as i'm now counting the days to my next trip home to Ireland! read more

Food here is absolutely divine... ive come here a number of times, and the quality is consistent..the calorie content of all meals are displayed, so I can still stick to my diet while feeling like i'm having a "cheat meal" Recommend all their pastas,burgers,and guinness stew. Went here with my sister, three year old nephew and baby niece for lunch while visiting Galway. I had the huevos rancheros, a spicy refried bean and sauteed potato combo topped with a very lightly fried egg and served with tortilla. It was just under 7euro and great value. Fresh, tasty and satisfying. My sister had the butternut squash salad, served with bacon, feta cheese, lettuce and a sweet sauce (8/9euro). The sweetness of the sauce and butternut squash complimented the saltiness of the bacon and feta. She thought it was delicious. It's very child-friendly - the staff were engaging and patient with my nephew (they brought crayons and drawing paper), they also had no difficulty catering to his picky palette, (sausies and mash). They'd no problem heating the babies food. The place is in an old stone building, the interior is light, clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly. The coffee was grand, but could push them up to five stars if they got that right. Would definitely recommend this place, they've a huge choice on the menu, the food is fresh and tasty, and represents good value for money. read more
