Wonderful Seafood Chowder for me & Fish & Chips for Mom! Great ambience, nice presentation and gorgeous pastries!

Fabulous cafe/bakery/restaurant in town. The banoffe pie was excellent and coffee was great. For a place that claimed not to know much about coffee they sure made a nice cuppa :-)) would go back here anytime :-)

Popular (especially on a Sunday morning when few other places are serving food) and lively cafe & shop selling local produce. Try and get a seat at one of the two rear tables as the banter between the chefs & waiting staff around the kitchen is an enjoyable bonus. Rather an odd set-up in as far as the toaster is outside of the kitchen in the charge of the waiting staff but otherwise a straightforward place with good service and quality food, particularly the poached eggs.

Not to be missed if in Athenry. Julie who owns and works this small coffee and crepe shop has been…read morehere for 14 years. It's absolutely amazing. We came in to a small community center. And when I say small I mean something like 8'x10'. Julie works behind the counter which is full of goodies scones and cupcakes that she's just baked today. Everything here is truly delicious. Julie is an extraordinary host welcoming you into what feels to be her kitchen. The town regulars stop in for a cup of coffee or just conversation. Even the priest was there to eat his breakfast. We stayed more than an hour speaking with the people coming and going into this very unique place. Needless to say the ambience feels like you're in her home. The coffee is just great. I ordered a cappuccino that was dusted with chocolate on top. Smooth and delicious. My wife enjoyed her latte very much. We ordered 2 savory crepes, the Vegetarian and the Smoky Yoke. My wife said that this was the best crepe she had ever enjoyed. What's amazing is the the crepe is thicker than what you usually receive and so it holds the contents without falling apart. And it has a great flavor. The crepes were absolutely great! Her scones are totally superb. My wife had a fruit scone and I had one with a name I don't remember. It was interestingly spiced, moist, with an incredible consistency. Athenry is about 20 minutes east of Galway. The small town is worth a visit. It's worth coming here just to eat at The Nook.

Made a great cappuccino and "The Cure" crepe was delicious. Loved the family and friends…read moreatmosphere.
