Seafood chowder, chicken pitta with potato leek soup, and salad
    Eliza R.

Quick tips: if you're driving, look for street parking! Free wifi! Great portions for the price As most great food adventures start, my caravan and I stopped in athlone, Ireland for a quick bite to eat on our way back to Dublin. Per the recommendation of a local we walked up a small street to find this little gem tucked away. VENUE: the place is a little small with about 4 table tops and a couple of counters and bars tools. With plenty of natural light the place boasts of freshness, color, and a small buzz of sweet Irish girls fervently cutting and peeling fresh veggies and meats into wonderful meals. It's super casual and quaint - there was no wait despite limited seating. It was great. FOOD/DRINK: I ordered the soup/pitta/coffee/tea meal combo for 10euros. the soup is the soup of the day (potato leek for today) and you get a choice of their pittas and an option of coffee or tea. The potato leek soup was much better than you'd expect by the name. It was a nice potato purée with just a hint leek. It comes piping hot so give it a few before slurping. I chose the chicken pitta and it was amazing! Chicken was cooked well and the coleslaw and hummus were fresh! I ordered extra pesto (because I am a basil fiend) and it was perfect kick of flavor for the whole pitta. It was quite large - packed full of stuffing. My friend got the seafood chowder and it was also great! Creamy but not too thick with chunks of seafood! SERVICE: our server was a delight. She was warm and friendly and attentive. Even when we had some concerns about our food she was apologetic and addressed the issue immediately. All in all I would absolutely recommend this place even if you're just passing through for a bite to eat or a sip to drink.

Tender flavorful barbecue pork shoulder pita with spiced vegetable soup.

Everything was so fresh and delicious, lots of good veggies! Somehow even the sausage seemed healthy.

Excellent service, coffee and treats. If we are ever in town again, I would definitely go back.

This is such a cute cafe that is vegetarian friendly on the way to Galway! Lovely little village and great food. The desserts are great too!

Delicious! Just in from the airport, stopped for tea, but the place was so enticing I stayed for breakfast. You won't be disappointed.
