Jungle Cafe is my favourite spot in Galway to meet up with friends. It has a great outdoor area and a really funky vibe to the whole cafe playing music suited to the theme (most of the time). I used to come here so often when I lived near it, we used to call it our own "Central Perk" (reference from the TV show Friends). It can be more pricey than other cafes around Galway but I feel as though you pay for the whole experience of cafe also. I have never actually tried food here which is surprising for the amount of times i've been here but the coffee here is lovely! They use Badger & Dodo Coffee which is has a really smooth taste to it and is never overly strong or bitter. The taste of this coffee is very unique to this cafe. The staff have always been super friendly here and it is always a highlight of my day when I do come here. I always get a cappuccino or a dirty chai latte which always turn out great! I would not recommend the hot chocolate as it has come out lukewarm/almost cold each time a friend of mine ordered it
Perfect study spot and area to catch up with friends. Me and my friend stumbled by this place during our study abroad at NUI-G. The place is very hip and bubbly. The servers are super nice and helpful. The toilets are pretty clean. Ordering my latte was very easy because we sat down and we're immediately handed a menu. The menu has both drinks and food. I only came for a coffee but if I had come on an empty stomach, food would have been an option. I also wish I had more time here in Galway to venture more of what's offered on the menu. Their smoothies looked delightful and the sandwiches seemed very good just from reading the ingredients. I would recommend this place 10/10. The seating area is very nice and homey. I enjoy the atmosphere that Jungle Cafe was able to portray to it's audience. It does excerpt an individuality that's hard to come by. Really love this place. Come early if you want a seat, otherwise you'll be waiting around with your good cup of coffee
This was the coolest coffee place I visited while I was in Ireland! The jungle vibes were so fun and unique. Although all of the seating was outside, the wide selection of couches and comfy chairs all had blankets, making it all very cozy. The prices were comparable to other coffee places. I did not get food while I was here, but the table next to us ordered breakfast and it all looked great, I wish we had had time to eat there!
A relaxing little haven perfectly situated near the train and bus station-- which I frequent rather a lot. The coffee is really good, I think I had a croissant too which was tasty! The service was quite nice too but the real winner is the leafy, tranquil little terrace seating area. It really doesn't feel like you're in the middle of the city. I love this café!
This was an unexpected find in Galway. It had definite tropical vibes, and the berry smoothie was really refreshing in the summer heat. The salmon dish was really tasty and they have good coffee. Would recommend this breath of fresh air when you visit Galway- complete 180 from heavy pub food and a great place for a brunch
A new discovery in Galway, a great little exotic outdoor cafe. The atmosphere is refreshing and relaxing, feels like on holidays in a tropical island! The decor is exotic with a Hawaiian beachy twist; wooden outdoor tables, palm trees, nice music and colorful design. The inside is like a beach shack, so there is no better place to lunch on a sunny warm day. The coffee here is great! You can have it with soya or coconut milk as well, and they do some great latte art. The food is great too, especially the breakfast items. Love the omelets!! The staff are also very friendly.
This place standouts from other cafes in the area, due in part, because the Jungle Cafe has a bright orange facade. Also, the Jungle has one of those outdoor eating spaces that just draws in the eyes of those walking by, it is a innocuous style of furniture, but thematically true to its name. The seats have beautiful prints of flowers, for example. And the area makes use of plant life to complete the look and feel. Even on a cool and rainy Irish morning, this seating area cannot be beat. Now, on to the food. I had a hot chocolate that was not overly sweet, which is good. My croissant with egg and semi-raw salmon with lemon and arugula was filling and all the ingredients complemented each other, no other spice or condiment was required. On another visit, I tried their crepes with fresh blueberries and strawberries that came with homemade cream. The taste and attention to making the crepes makes revisiting the Jungle Cafe a must on any eating itinerary.
Almost every morning in Galway was spent here (and a few afternoons), enjoying Irish balmy weather delicious food, and great conversation. It's mostly covered, outdoor seating (Vancouverites will love it!) cash only though, and sometimes it takes a bit to make the food - but that's what you get for ordering breakfast at 1pm, and it being made from scratch with love.

Jungle Cafe is a quirky, relaxed spot right in the heart of Galway's bustling streets, somehow seamlessly blending tropical inspiration with cozy European café energy. From the outside, colorful signage and lush plant accents give off an inviting, sunshine-meets-Galway vibe; inside, the décor leans into greenery and relaxed seating that feels friendly and laid-back. There's a full, lush garden area within the actual restaurant, complete with bamboo barriers, palm fronds, wicker seating, and plush couches. At around 11:30am on a Sunday, my party of eleven was looking for a cute brunch spot close o the Galway train station as we arrived for a day trip. Thanks to the courteous staff and some table rearrangement, they were able to seat our large party almost immediately, despite the space being almost full. The menu isn't too extensive, but has a variety of brunch dishes (there's a bit of a conundrum in that they serve brunch until 12:30pm, but they don't begin serving lunch after 1pm; I wonder what they do in the meantime?). They've essentially taken brunch classics and added their own fun, tropical twist, such as their "Mojo Rojo Toast" and Huevos Rancheros with a Brazilian twist. There's also a comprehensive drink menu, with coffee/tea, smoothies, and fresh-pressed juices. I began with their Double Espresso (€2.80), which came in a tiny, cute cup, with homemade sugar cubes on the side. I will say that as a group, we found their espresso overly acidic as compared to others we've sampled in Ireland, but it did the job in getting me sufficiently caffeinated. Others in my group enjoyed their Chai Lattes (€4.50)! For my main dish, I opted for their Cinnamon & Orange French Toast (€14), which consisted of two hearty slices of crusty bread soaked in custard, topped with creamy mascarpone, tangy pineapple salsa, and a crunchy oat crumble. This was a lovely variety of flavors and textures, and I love how the unsweetened mascarpone provided a richness to the dish without any sweetness. There was also fresh orange slices and passionfruit on the side, which provided a tropical touch! I also enjoyed the small drizzle of caramel syrup and powdered-sugar dusting over the top, which was a thoughtful touch of sweetness. My one note is that I do wish the toast itself were soaked a bit longer in the custard, as I found it a bit dry. According to my group, other standout dishes included the Overnight Oat Jar (€7.50), the Huevos Rancheros (€16), and the Smashed Avocado on Toast (€14.50). We truly enjoyed our time at Jungle Cafe; service was kind and efficient, the food was tasty, and it strikes that sweet spot between café casual and just a bit out-there. In general, Jungle Cafe sits in the moderate price range for Galway; while I usually wouldn't pay €14 for French toast, the creativity and fresh ingredients made it feel worth the spend when you want a fun, vibrant meal. It's the perfect place for brunch with friends or a casual lunch after exploring the city. read more
Delicious breakfast menu with plenty of options, fresh juices, and coffee. Friendly staff. Amazing decor - it really felt like we were eating in the jungle. Plenty of seating both "outdoors" (fully covered and enclosed) and indoors. Highly recommend as a fun breakfast/brunch spot! read more

Cute little cafe. The covered outdoor seating was super cute but seating gets filled up pretty quick. The food portions are pretty large especially the sandwiches. Service was fast and staff were friendly. read more

This cafe had a really cool outdoor seating area - eclectic seating, leafy surrounds and cool tunes. The location is great, just off Eyre Square near the bus & train stations. Coffee is good. I didn't eat but the food looked good. read more

WOW, we went here for breakfast hoping to get a small bite and some caffeine... Great outdoor seating area. The food was OUTSTANDING... Well cooked and presented. Staff were friendly.... I would HIGHLY recommend this place. read more
