I FOUND my new OBSESSION and will update my yelp profile for it and it is CURRY KETCHUP! Have people done this before, heard about it, tasted it??!?! If so why haven't I heard about it. Sweet with a kick! My co-worker tasted it and she will attempt to make it at home tonight. I had the lamb burger also known as the Rockin Hero and it is delicious! The lamb was tender and there wasn't too much bread. Great portion side and the fries were yummy I ate every last one. This truck is awesome, not only is the food amazing but the owner Brett is very friendly and is passionate about his truck. Plus their food truck rating is 100 with the Dpt of Health ....yes for clean, safe, and delicious. People say it's on the expensive side but it's gourmet street food...where do you get lamb that's high quality on a food truck? It's going to cost you seven bucks, you get what you pay for and I love great food. :) On Wednesday they have several food trucks come by Underground Atlanta and I have been to a couple food truck events/festivals and I have never seen this truck. Definitely try it and tell Brett I sent you via Yelp! :)

"You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel. " -- Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) I'm a food truck supporter...a fan...a fanatic. I love to try out new trucks and really love the food truck outings so I can get items from multiple trucks. After just reading about them on the Zagat list - 9 Best Atlanta Food Trucks to Follow This Summer, I was thrilled to find them at Dunwoody Food Truck Thursdays. After looking over the menu, I opted for the Rockin' Hero Bite. The menu board said $3, but it turns out it was smudged and it is actually $8. Okay - so it is full sized and not really a "bite." Fix the name. (By the way, this burger is listed as $7 on their website - so if prices vary based on the location - take prices off your website. Now back to the food... The RHB is a Lamb Burger with tzatziki, spinach, tomatoes, and chunks of Feta on a Ciabatta bun. Now, that is how it was listed, but the bun we got was not ciabatta. The burger was delicious. Not $8 delicious, but delicious nonetheless. It had a bit too much of the tzatziki sauce on it, so it was going everywhere, even dripping down my arms. I ended up scraping some of it off as I ate. But the combination tasted like the perfect gyro - in burger form. I'm definitely a fan and would consider eating from them again, but they should consider dropping the prices - even by $1. The food is great, the prices a little high, but overall a great concept.

When we heard that there was a Food Truck night out here in the 'burbs (Smyrna on Tuesdays), we headed on out. After looking at all of the offerings, we decided that the longest line would help tip the scales for our decision. It was worth every minute of the wait! Holy Schmoly! A religious gastronomic experience! I highly recommend the ATL: Boneless braised short rib (oh so tender and juicy), pimento cheese, caramelized onions, and Coke glaze on a fresh hoagie. Buffalo Strings (they just dance in your mouth): Hand cut fries with wing sauce, bleu cheese and ranch dressing. Oh and one more thing...you've gotta try the Currie Ketchup . . . a flavor sensation! My friend had the Mix'D Up Burger and Italian Strings (fries with garlic and parmesan) oo-la-la! Mighty fine eatin' Great food; good value!

    Great truck. Great food.

Craving a burger today. Mix'd Up, you did the job. And with the option of a burger temp, which is so important. Perfection!

Make sure to bring plenty of filtered water or stick with beer. This is a must-attend show.

(#publictransportation, ahem!) Since the 1970's, The Inman Park Festival is something of an Atlanta tradition. There's a tour of homes, a 5k run, a parade, and (of course) a big street market featuring all sorts of colorful, local arts and crafts, beauty & skin care, foods and spices, home accessories, woodworking and ceramics... This year, I picked up a few items to gift to my friends. There are hosts of things to try and do, including activities for kids, and a really cool Dance Festival where you'll see stellar dance expositions from Atlanta's best dance companies. The food scene is pretty much what you'd expect. All the standard offerings from frozen lemonade to corn dogs, funnel cakes to pretzels, all the "regulars" are there. Sometimes I wonder if there will ever be a way to make the street-fair food scene innovative and not just regular. Still, this is among Atlanta's best run, and well-organized Festivals. See you there next year.

Atlanta is better off for having food trucks (and this park, specifically). Despite the cloudy, on-and-off drizzly weather, the park had a good turnout of patrons between 7-9pm on a Thursday night. Thanks to those who braved the elements for our UYE (http://www.yelp.com/events/atlanta-atlanta-food-truck-park-uye). The food truck/food stand lineup was pretty good: Sweet Auburn BBQ Corn-a-Cue One Love Jerk Grill Metro City Dogs Lemonade Stand WOW! Food Truck Ibiza Bites Chay J's New Orleans Candies Rouxd Food Truck King of Pops Yum Yum Cupcake Verizon also had a stand. I've been following the park's official calendar (http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/calendar/) over the past month and noticed Thursday nights are the ideal weeknight (excluding Fridays) to go for the most trucks and the best selection. I suspect there might have been more trucks last night if it wasn't for the weather. I ended up trying a little bit of everything: Arepas (Venezuelan sliders) from WOW! Food Truck Beef brisket with Asian pear slaw taco from Sweet Auburn BBQ Goat cheese-stuffed fried green tomatoes from Ibiza Bites Creole pretzels and Creole popcorn from Chay J's I'll be posting reviews for each of those trucks in the next few days. If you come for dinner, I recommend coming on the early side as the food trucks only have a limited supply of items and do sell out. This leads some trucks to close early. I saw many menus with marked off items that had sold out for the day. Yum Yum Cupcakes shut down early because they sold out of their cupcakes for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating the park had. I counted 16 large picnic tables in the main "dining" area, most with umbrellas. Each picnic table can seat up to about 8 people each. The picnic tables are located on a flat, paved surface. The food trucks are located in a large gravel lot. This lot has 4 communal standing tables and 2 additional picnic tables. So overall, this spot has quite a bit of seating, which is convenient. Also, plenty of trash cans and recycling bins to keep the grounds looking relatively clean. The park is family and dog-friendly. It can be a little loud because you're around all these big trucks and next to busy Howell Mill Rd. You can BYOB, so save money by bringing your own drinks. If you want water, I saw some trucks selling it for $1 per bottle. There is one restroom and it's a "Johnny on the Spot" porta-potty in the parking lot with portable sink outside so you can wash your hands. There is ample free parking behind the park. Turn onto Emery St, next to the Shell Station on Howell Mill, to find it. If you need more detailed directions, check out the park's FAQ here: http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/faqs/. The parking lot is old and filled with pot holes, so drive carefully. I saw someone puncture their car's tire by running over a broken-off metal sign post on the ground (she was trying to make too tight of a turn around the dining area). Note that every Wednesday and Friday night throughout the summer, the park will be playing movies for free. Also, from time to time, there is live music. On the weekends, there's a food market with rotating vendors and an artists market coming soon. Overall, I'm very happy with the Atlanta Food Truck Park and definitely plan on returning.

Free water for all, but you gotta pay $1 for a snazzy beer fest tatt that can be stuck anywhere you want to stick it. Food is available and is your typical fair, minus the fries. Though one odd food item I saw for sale this year was a turdunken burger.. I really wanted to try it but didn't think my stomach could handle that and banana beer, which by the way was very tasty. They also had a pavilion with a band, free water, and the beer bear running around taking pictures. They gave us plastic cups to drink out of and we got a pint glass on our wait out as they recycled the plastic. Good move EABF! I wish EABF (well, ALL the beer fests) would have a system for coordinating with cab companies. It was an issue trying to flag down a cab in EAV to take us back to Midtown, especially since we were competing with other drunk people. Even better, they should just sponsor shuttles to the closest MARTA station. BRING A CAMPING CHAIR. I really wish I had. It feels good to sit when you've got 5hrs there. Lucky for us we had friends that brought chairs! Also buy your tickets early since this event sells out. See you next year!
