Beef Koobideh Beef Plate
Emilyn A.

I would give the food 5/5 stars! The beef koobideh kebabs are so juicy, flavorful, and delicious and the rice is fluffy and buttery. I also really enjoyed the fresh salad! This is a place I'd happily order takeout from but wouldn't want to dine in- the woman taking my order did not greet me, ask if I wanted anything to drink, or offer bags for the Persian candy I bought from the grocery store. Hopefully the service can improve because the food here is phenomenal!

Sign outside the entrance

Wow! There's literally a large sign outside the entrance that says they'll feed you if you are hungry even if you don't have any money. I'm really touched by how generous and compassionate the owners of this establishment are. If all humans were like this maybe world hunger wouldn't exist??? This little cafe is modest but it definitely has soul. I would come back here whenever I'm craving beef koobideh, which is excellent. Many blessings to Mitra's Cafe!!! Xoxo

I went based on strength of reviews and ordered falafel plate for pickup. The falafel unfortunately were dry so I was disappointed. I heated the leftovers with water in the microwave the next day which helped, but still not good. What I absolutely LOVED about the place was this sign outside. We need more love and care in the world. For this reason alone I will go back.

We ordered the Gyro plate and Filet Mignon plate and it did not disappoint. The flavors are so amazing, the rice was perfect and my son was in love with the fries. This is one of those gem in the Murrieta Temecula area that is a must if you're looking for something authentic, cooked with that home cooking love, and want to enjoy our diverse local community. Mitra's is a must!!!

Me and my husband were GREETED upon entry by 2 nice ladies. We were allay craving for some…read moreMediterranean food so we searched on Yelp for the nearest one and Pacific Pita appeared so we thought we would give this place a try... My hubby wanted GYROS! Sadly, they don't have GYROS!! The ORDER took about 20 minutes!!! We were starving!!! CHICKEN KABOB PLATE: 8/10 The chicken kabobs were tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed dipping it with the garlic sauce. The rice was more like a coconut flavored rice rather than yellow rice. The salad was fresh. The hummus was good. However, I did not like the pita bread because it was thin and hollow... FALAFEL: 7/10 The outside was very hard and crunchy and the inside was flaky and dry. I've had better ones elsewhere like Kan Zaman and the Kabob Shack... AMBIANCE: Was a small cafe feel with table and counter seating areas... The staff was friendly and I noticed that they love talking to eachother... KEEP IT UP PACIFIC PITA!!!!

Went here for a quick bite to eat after work and after reading several of the critical reviews, I…read morecan say this a standard plate. I got a small Kafta plate with hummus as my side. The rice pilaf and hummus were delicious, the salad, tzatziki, pita and kafta were basic but not worthy of some of the strong negative reviews. One note of constructive criticism is that the kafta could be bigger and more spiced. But, I still ate the entire plate with some of my own Sriracha. The walnut baklava was delicious but the portion was small (maybe a 2x1 slice) considering the $3.50 price. Overall, the food is satisfactory but nothing fancy or extraordinary.
