DO NOT DO YOUR BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! I don't know anything about their sales department but every other part of this store is horrible. The worse is the service center. I bring my bike in to get a new primary cover and derby cover. they are closed on Mondays (which isn't the case at any other Harley) but ok so I bring it in Tuesday morning at 10am. I called around looking for a primary cover on Monday and find out its in Oakland. So Tuesday when I bring it to Mitchell's in Modesto they have to order it. They say everything will be in and put together by Friday. Friday comes and goes with no calls I call Saturday and they give me attitude and say well the part was ordered wed it takes a couple days(should have been ordered Tuesday morning when I brought it in) they tell my it will be Tuesday now. Tuesday comes and goes I call wed. They tell me still waiting. I finally find out the part came in Friday (10 days later) they tell me it will be done that day. No calls still finally Saturday they call and tell me the derby cover they ordered was the right box but wrong part in it. (Passing the blame cuz they can't own up to their own &$@# up.) so I tell them to put the chrome skull one on even tho that's not what I wanted but I didn't wanna wait another 12 days. They then call me again 2 hours later and say it had a bubble in the finish and my only other option was back to stock. I have no choice to agree or not have my bike back for even longer. I notice oil has been spilled all over the derby cover and asked for it to be wiped off. He tells me "I won't buy ill call someone to. I'm boss I don't have to do that stuff" as I'm riding off I notice the rubber over the shift knob is spinning(very unsafe) I turn around and ask them about it cuz that also was supposed to be fixed. One of the other guys tells me with attitude. That's how it is. They all are "do you need me to bring another bike out and prove it to you"? I tell him forget it and I go to lathrop and pick up a new one. Which does not spin at all. As I take off the old one I notice it was spinning because it was soaked in oil. This place sucks, they do not care about the quality of their work nor the customer service. I hope the owner actually reads this and does a little firing read more

i became a member just so i could wright this review. every time i go there i wait 20 minutes for no appairent reason. then there parts are all overpriced and take twice as long to arrive as they tell you it will(like there doing it onpurpose). if you ask them a question they make you feel dumb, unless you intend on buying a bike there then there all ears. do your self a favor and go to eagles nest read more

I absolutely love the owner John. He was very helpful and didn't try to sell us something more expensive. He stuck within our price range. The girls up front, at the sales desk, not friendly. Act like they are being bothered when you try to purchase something. When we went into the sales office to do the paper work for out new bike, we were told VERY rudely by Wendy, Im busy I will get with you when I can. When she finally gave us the time of day, she was so unprofessional and not nice at all. When I tried to ask her a question while she was texting on her phone, she looked up from her phone and did the Ugh and roller her eyes. My thought was hello, you are doing a finance deal with me, your personal text can wait. If I end up having to deal with her again, I will not buy from John. Sad, because he is great to deal with. But when the other employees are rude like that, it out weights the positive with him read more

I purchased a long sleeve men's shirt from here as a gift on 07/24/2018 in the amount of $64.73. The gift ended up not working out so I went to the store today 07/28/2018 to return it. According to their policy they don't give cash refunds, instead they issue you a store "gift certificate" which is completely fine and I agreed to. Upon receiving the gift certificate we ordered parts from here while in store, but since the total of the parts we ordered was less than the dollar amount issued on the gift certificate, they wouldn't accept it. They refused to just take from the initial amount of the gift certificate to put toward our new purchase and issue us a new gift certificate for the remaining dollar amount difference. This makes zero sense to me but it's clear now that a "gift certificate" must differ from store credit as I've never experienced this before. Of course we paid out of pocket for what we needed today but now I have to eat the $64.73 because I'll never return here due to their poor customer service and their lame policies. All in all we ended up spending more money for less merchandise. Good for them for being successful scam artists but shame on me for not raising a bigger issue. Today's visit here to Mitchell's Harley Davidson just irked me and determined that this place and the folks that work here are trash. read more

The parts folks really know their stuff - specifically, Jim and Ryan. When it comes to hard-to-find parts or complex issues, Jim and Ryan will find a solution. Overall the dealership is awesome. I have never had an issue with the service department and the rates are far more reasonable than other HD dealers in the area. This dealership also supports an awesome HOG chapter with (almost) weekly rides, rain or shine. read more

I have visited and done business with a lot of H-D shops over the years in different states and Mitchell's in Modesto, CA has got to be one of if not THE worst shop for customer service, or should I say lack of ? I have been in there approx. 4-6 time in the last 6 months to possibly purchase a new bike and every time the place has been empty, I understand if they are busy and I don't have someone greet me and ask if I need help, but I am saying that nobody approached me at all and they weren't busy ! I saw a certain used bike that keeps bringing me back, yup the same bike has been on consignment for at least 6 months and I have sat on it and everything but started it and still nobody has helped me ! The keys are dangling from the handlebars, maybe I should start it and get some attention ! I have even called and supposedly talked to a manager after calling back a 2nd or 3rd time after being left on hold for 10 minutes ! He didn't seem too concerned about my call and kinda acted like he had heard it all before ! If I was in his shoes I would have made the offer to have me come back and talk to him directly, but he didn't. I have noticed employees sitting at their desks and one time there was a group of 3 or 4 standing around shooting the bull, whoever owns this place must not need the money or be around to see what kind of bad name the employees are giving it ! Or...maybe he is there and he just doesn't care ! If I could find out the name of the used bikes' owner I would deal with him, but they're not about to give me that info and lose any money they might make if it sells ! I don't have any experience with their service dept. and thanks to having such a bad experience with the sales dept. I will take my service needs and $ elsewhere ! So my word of advice is don't waste your time and $ on this place ! read more

I bought a motorcycle jacket from them, as a gift, went to return it and they told me that I can only have store credit. They did not tell me this when I purchased this. So when I went in to return it, they said it says this on the bottom of the reciept. Do not buy from Mitchells harley davidson. read more

I would never ever go into Mitchell's Harley again. They are rude. Stood by the counter for 30 mintues before they even acknowledge my husband. And to top it off their were two workers at the counter. One on the phone and another at the cash register. Not sure what the one at the cash register was doing...Not even saying a word to us. They could of said, " I'll be with you in 30 minutes. LOL. They probably thought their head to toe tattoo's were going to scare us. If you need a part please don't be treat like that. Go to another Harley shop where they have good customer service. ...HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE read more

don't go here for service, they are totally not customer friendly, take the time to go to eagles nest.

Alright check this out. My TriGlide got a bad scrape on the rear fender by some careless punk at the mall. It totally looked terrible. So I called Mitchell's Harley about getting it repainted. Parts dept hooked me up with Eric in service. Eric has a painter at Kreative Koncepts, they repainted the fender in vivid black, pin striped it, and clear coated it at a price so good I had to call back to find out if my hearing was bad. I'm so happy I will recommend both Mitchell's and Kreative Koncepts to anyone. read more

Not happy. Be sure to check you brakes and brake lines when leaving this shop. They sent me out, after a tire and service, without pumping up my brakes. Also found the brake line not clamped down in position. My first time to this shop and my last. Sorry , I expected better for the price I paid. read more

There was a time Mitchell' was a great shop to do business with. Unfortunatly this is no longer the case. Resent performance motor work turned into a bad nightmare. The shop would not make it right. Other friends of mine who also ride Harleys tried to warn me but I gave Mitchells the benefit of a doubt. Im being generous giving them a single star. They seen the last of me. read more

real shady dealership beware they force you to pay sales tax even if your exempt in my situation i verified with the CA sales tax Dept that i was exempt from paying the tax after speaking with them and emailing them a copy of the law. they waited about an hour and called me back to let me no they were canceling the sale.HORRIBLE i think there just hardup and trying to pocket the 7.5%. Thats tax fraud and i am going to open up a complaint with the tax dept of CA Who knows how many innocent people got ripped off by them already read more
