Now listen, when it comes to my hair, I don't just let anybody touch it. So yes, I was a little nervous. But let me tell y'all about Sully the Barber. I met her through Tampa Bay Women's Inferno, and once I actually looked into her work, I realized she is that girl. Years in the game, awards, her own haircare line--I said yeah, let's do this. I went in thinking we were just shaping up the afro, and she said "let me give you the full experience." Baby... she did not disappoint. I told her, "you got free will--just make me feel as good as I try to make everybody else feel." And when I say she delivered?? Look at these curls. Look at this shape. The V in the back?? The definition?? I'm beyond pleased. She really took her time and brought my vision to life without me even having to explain it all the way. This wasn't just a haircut. This was confidence. This was self-love. This was me stepping back into myself and feeling good doing it. Tell me I don't look good This is just how life goes.

Their bathrooms are so family friendly with a chilling out area for kids and so many cool kids play areas. It's such a nostalgic mall like when I was growing up. I love this mall. Only downside is the food court doesn't have a lot of options but the choices are still good. I love coming here though and will continue to! Get your family down to Citrus Park mall! It's so big and has everything for everyone!

They have such a wide variety of businesses here- TJ Maxx, Dicks, Old Navy, World Market, PetSmart, Best Buy, Ross, Five Below, Dollar Tree, Ulta, Planet Fitness and across the street the brand new massive Target. Along with this, there are tons of dining options now that Krate is open within the Grove. Krate is a little fenced in area that has about 3 rows of small businesses, mostly food and literally every variety you could want. Outside of this, there is Macondo which is a coffee shop, there's ice cream and Indian food, pizza, and more. For being such a large shopping area, I do wish the pedestrian walking paths were a little bit more interconnected. There are sidewalks in some places but other areas it's a little scary to walk to and from because there's so much traffic in and out of here.

Parking is amazing and every place we went into is fully accessible. So much fun! I can't wait to come back!!

The food court is another solid highlight, offering a variety of quick and casual options. It's a great place to take a break during a shopping trip, grab a bite, and recharge before heading back out. Overall, Countryside Mall is a dependable and comfortable place to shop, eat, and hang out. I'm not able to go as much as I'd like, but a visit here at Christmastime is always quite enjoyable! This mall still has a decent occupancy rate, an acceptable food court, several sit-down dining options, a nice movie theater, and even an ice skating rink. The attached Whole Foods is also a plus, IF you can afford shopping there! (I always look online at their weekly sales items before I visit). Since so many of our former indoor malls have been converted to outdoor "strip malls," I'm very glad Countryside has so far survived the preference for online shopping and still exists!

The Whole foods is another plus, but you have to go out the side entrance to have access. It would've been nice if the mall had an entry from inside. An obvious issue I noticed during my most recent visit, was the lack of guests not wearing masks. By my estimate, about a quarter of the guests had no mask on. When approaching a Mall Security Guard about this, he said this being enforced. Meanwhile, a group walks right by with no mask in sight. This is unfortunate.

Market Elaine only happens first Friday of every month from 5 pm to 9 pm. I actually like the vendors shop. They are many specialty. It include bake good, coffees stand, clothing, accessories, jewelry, dog food, pet store, arts, candles, candy, plants, and more. The market occupies Wesley Grove Blvd. and Coconut Palm Lane. Parking is easy that surrounded the compound. I like to go to Double Branch Brewery and get a go cup beer and walk around the vendors shop.

The market takes place on the fourth Saturday of each month. There was live music, so many vendors selling gorgeous dresses, local produce, jewelry, and so much more. I fell in love with the cutest handmade seashell jewelry from the Shell + Stone's pop-up tent (she also runs a shop online). I ended up picking out a few rings, and the owner was actually running a 27% off sale for St. Pete's 727 Day. Stumbling upon this market was the perfect surprise to kickstart my Saturday morning. I love that parking is easy and accessible too. I definitely have some more exploring to do at Midtown, so I can't wait to stop by again soon.

At one point, Lisa told her helper "you might need to go to the bank for me." Then, after the three of us had a lengthy conversation about traffic on Hwy 19, Lisa reached into the cash register and handed me $40. She made it seem like she was doing me a favor by paying me $40 for at least 23 items!! Last Spring, I took about 12 items in and she paid me $45 When I browsed through the shop, I saw one blouse with a $29 price tag on it. I wish I had kept my items and donated them to my church thrift store. I will not go back, and I do not recommend the resale shop to anyone.
