Before September 2023, the property I manage had never encountered a single pest, not even a spider. However, by the end of September, just after renting it out, my tenants reported seeing cockroaches in the kitchen. I immediately reached out to the pest control company I've relied on for years, only to be told, quite unbelievably, that they thought my tenants were overreacting since they couldn't find any signs of an infestation or even juvenile pests. Given the photo and video evidence my tenants provided, it was clear I needed a second opinion, prompting me to contact Mitchell Pest Solutions. Matt from Mitchell conducted a thorough inspection and confirmed that, indeed, we had a pest issue, but it wasn't originating from our property. He explained that while he could make our tenants' living situation more bearable, a permanent solution was out of reach without the cooperation of our neighbors, with whom we share an entire wall. Despite months of reaching out to the property owners, the HOA, and even sending letters, it wasn't until January 2024 that we began to see a resolution. Thanks to the combined efforts of Matt and myself, we finally made contact with the owners of the neighboring property. Matt didn't just manage to arrange an inspection; he also provided them with a quote, which they accepted, agreeing to have Mitchell Pest Solutions treat their property as well. Before the property owners next door hired this company, Matt had gone above and beyond trying to help the situation. We had offered to pay for their pest control and Matt showed up THREE TIMES for what we thought were understood appointments. Unfortunately due to language barriers and even the use of an interpreter, those initial three appointments were turned down, but Matt was still there to try. I've never seen a company go to such lengths to solve a complex problem in all my years in this line of work. The dedication and effort Matt and Mitchell Pest Solutions have shown in addressing this issue have been nothing short of extraordinary. Responsive, Competent, Honest. It was Saturday early morning when I had noticed pigeons making a nest under my solar panels. I contacted their main line and Tia M. called me promptly after they opened at 7am. The same morning, Nick M. came out for an estimate, and I was impressed with his knowledge, patience with my many questions, and honesty. I hired them before getting the two other bids which were scheduled a week away. 24hours after the initial estimate, the cleaning of the roof / panels and the installation of the bird exclusion mesh was all done! The best part is that they got it all done even before the birds laid any eggs. Speed and quality mattered to me and they definitely met that need, all with reasonable price. Also, I knew they were a young, family-owned business and I prefer that because they've got the desire to do their best to work their way to be among the best in town. (I didn't have to go through extension numbers. I was dealing with the owners themselves.) Mitchell Pest Solutions saved me and my weekend. After a very SLOPPY job from LV Bees on a hive removal (If you want to see my full review on them, just look up LV Bees on Google), MPS came the SAME DAY to my house around 3 pm on a Friday, almost at the end of the work week/day for most pest control vendors. I called over 5 vendors until MPS answered the call. The botched hive removal left around 150-250 LIVE bees on my stairwell which was 2 stories in height. That doesn't even mention the stairs being LITTERED with dead bees. MPS evaluated the situation and got to work. At the end of their bee removal, my stairwell transformed from infested to a MUCH BETTER CONDITION. Basically the only things left staining the stairs were bits of honeycomb. This alone saved my work-filled, errand intensive weekend and I would have been immensely happy there. Instead, MPS went beyond what I thought they would do and checked the attic and other suspect areas where leftover bees would be hiding/inhabiting. Wouldn't you know it, there were some leftover bees in the attic and they got to removing those as well. In addition, I told them about the roof area where they got in and made a hive. MPS then called in another one of their employees so they can get a ladder to see the roof area. Then MPS proceeded to seal off the crack the bees were potentially using to get in. MPS ended the encounter by telling us that if we see anymore live bees inside or outside, we should call them and they'll come out again. I could not have asked for a better company! Truly Nick is wonderful. Prior to construction I had people get up there and clean massive amounts of pigeon feces but it was not done properly not sealed etc. I have had tiny beetles which are referred to I think as flesh Beatles, carpet Beatles etc entering my new house due to a prolonged pigeon issue that prior owners neglected. Turns out there were 8 carcasses above my patio where they had nested died etc. and the Beatles were having a buffet on them. I had another company come out to give me a quote and he couldn't do the job due to his weight. So his solution was to use chicken wire and push it in on a latter trap any pigeons in and "let nature do it's thing". For 395!!! Why so I can have a complete infestation and be a beatle dead pigeon providing buffet? RIDICULOUS!! What a joke! Nick not only got up there, cleaned up piles and piles of shit and dead birds but also power washed my entire patio from top to bottom and sealed where those rats of the sky decided to nest. He was even kind enough to figure out how they were getting in to the house and took it upon himself at no extra charge to seal my new installed window which was right above the patio and those Beatles have wings, which was not sealed properly before! So he cocked the window areas where they had access. It's a shame Yelp doesn't show all of the positive reviews he has because I could have not done it without them. He was honestly the most honest guy who worked on my house from 6am-1:30pm and charged me pretty much what the other guy wanted just a tiny bit more because I sprayed the outside/inside of the house with pet friendly bug killer! I am so grateful to them! Truly! I would have paid whatever he asked for because he truly worked so hard on my house and I will be forever greatful to him! I'm waiting for him to send me the photos. I had Nick, the owner, come over to check my attic to make sure it was sealed due to a woodpecker in the area that caused damage to my neighbor's attic. He did a thorough check of my attic which was properly sealed, then he inspected my whole property and said all looked great, no issues, and best of all no upsells. I asked him to cover all the vent pipes up in the Roof, he said he had a few more appts that day, but would be back in the afternoon to finish. He came later that afternoon and in about an hour he had all the vent pipes covered up with strong rat/pests proof material. He showed me pictures of everything. From the moment I called the lady I spoke to on the phone very nice friendly. You can tell just a genuine person fast response. Nick called me back like within minutes he actually drove out to my house in like 25 minutes. He is very smart he even told me how he would take care of the rat problem, even went in my garage and found rat droppings within like one second and we walk by the entrance in and out every day of our garage never noticed it he seen it right away.
