Jack gave me a quote the same day I called him in October 2021. He gave multiple quotes and was happy to explain the process to me even though I was already convinced to go with him based on the work he did for multiple houses in my neighborhood. It took a while for the city to give the permit to build a fence but that's out of his control. You give him half of the payment and the rest once it's done. The guys who actually installed my fence were messy and I had to clean up a bit after them and I found nothing to complain about with their work. Fast forward to April 2023 and turns out another side of my fence wasn't screwed onto the dwelling of the house so the wind was pushing on it all crazy. I sent Jack a video of this and he came out unannounced a few days later! I wouldn't have been able to thank him if I didn't notice the fence while I mowed. Thanks Jack! I had intended to have a fence built at my home based on the recommendation of my fiancée. While Jacob came the very next day, April 14, to assess our needs, I was never given an estimate or idea if the work could be scheduled. I left a text for Jack, the owner, on Friday morning (Apr 21) asking what was up. Not even a "I received your text but I'm busy right now." which would have been perfectly acceptable. Nothing. When my fiancée called him Friday evening when she got out of work, he said he sent me an estimate. In fact, he complained that she was calling Friday evening (which would have been valid had he only answered me THAT MORNING). Then, he called her "crazy." I'm not sure what business model calls for calling a customer "crazy," but Mr. Fence lost thousands of dollars because Jack was supposed to be an old friend (despite the fact I don't know him from Adam). Professional team and quality work. Mister Fence team was knowledgeable and helpful in assessing my needs in the construction of a new fence. The task wasn't easy, as I have a septic system and a leach field that extends for most of the property, not mentioning the uneven ground (being a new home). There was no issues, and they managed to build my vinyl fence leveled and overcome the issues with no problems. They also use MVP vinyl fencing which is WeatherWise and therefore rated for heavy wind, which is an issue where I'm located. After explaining to them all my concerns and issues, they were able to address everything with a prompt knowledgeable response. I recommend this company! Five Stars! read more

Outstanding service! I got three bids from three different fencing companies, Mister Fence was not only the best price but also the most accommodating. They worked with me on the layout during installation and make sure everything was exactly where I wanted to be. I had a complex situation with multiple Gates and they set it up just how I wanted it. They did make recommendations but unlike the other fence companies I never heard we can't do that or that won't work. Several times Josh, the site manager, asked me if I saw anything that I wanted changed. Gave me absolutely no push back even on minor things I wanted fixed he just fix them. Communication is terrible. The guy who does the estimate isn't the guy who does the fence, and while it's our fault for not asking, being told he contracts out would've been nice. The quality is iffy. While the fence looks nice, it was a quick and dirty job, plain and simple. Then guys snapped the old fence posts off at the ground vs digging them out-- and they weren't even cemented in! They left them there, many sticking dangerously up out of the ground several inches and pointy, in the middle of the yard. They left nails all over the ground. Dirt everywhere, grass completely covered in smashed down dirt. At least half of the post holes have huge chunks of concrete piled up and spilling out of the holes. Dirt all over the brand new fence required it to be power washed before we could stain it. Many nails went in wrong or crooked, and were just left like that, sticking out for someone to get hurt. Quality was really just not good. Within less than a week we had pickets popping out because they were nailed and not screwed. When someone was sent out to fix it he stated that he works in the office and hasn't done fence work for a while... but at least he used screws. When all was said and done we spent over $200 extra to just screw everything in ourselves as it wasn't worth even trying to contact the owner again because we found him to be argumentative and unresponsive to problems thus far. Also, they shorted the fence by a good 7-8" on one side. I was then told, "well they're estimates" and brushed off. Would've been nice to have been refunded for that since there were no estimates, it was to go out exactly 18 feet. When asked if this was typical work for his company the owner avoided directly answering, told me that I just wanted to argue with him, but in the end said yes, this was a typical job. Definitely a disappointment, not worth the months wait for this company. Quick and dirty, no quality control, inconsistent. Really regretting having paid it all upfront, because I would've deducted the cost of the shorted distance at the very least. In then end, we have a fence, and for that they get 2 stars. But there are tons of other companies, and I would not recommend this one unless you also have low standards. read more

Unfortunately a year and half later another storm came through. While my neighbors lost all their fences. Mine withstood! We had a fence installed. We had a clearly marked (along the entire stretch) pool drainage line. They 1st brought a different fence which matched enough it was fine. They 2nd hit the pool drain line. They did not inform us about the damage to the clearly marked line until after they not only damaged but "repaired" the line and filled over the damage with concrete. Once the work was completed it was clear there was a leak to the line which he did not want to repair citing the contract terms which he had already violated by repairing the line without giving us the ability to repair it ourselves properly or have a separate professional perform the repairs. They reluctantly came out to perform the repairs. I reached back out for additional work since they were familiar with the fence but was officially ghosted by the fence guy. No response whatsoever even though he responded to my husband's query. Overall sketchy business practices all around so I would not recommend. read more

Their pricing was better than the last company they knew what they were talking about with the property line and maneuvering around trees and such. They fit us in quickly and finished the job in 2 days, Josh was the lead installer and came out for the estimate, he really has a love for the company and a passion for his job. Fence looks great! Customer service and timeliness are why I left one star. My fence didn't get put up until 6 weeks after I made my deposit. During the 6 weeks and he never contacted me. I was the one TRYING to get in touch with him. I referred a friend (which I referred her to someone else after my experience) and he had no idea who I was a week after he did my estimate and had my money. He also made a smart remark about me being the college kids, which I am not. Five weeks after having my deposit I tried to contact him multiple times Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday he finally called me back and was still very vague as to when he would be doing my fence. My husband is currently deployed and I was so frustrated that I had my dad call him. He then told my dad that he gave me a date, which he did not. Then told him he would call me. He had to call my dad back and get my number..... at this point I was so frustrated and didn't want him doignmy fence I was going to cut my losses and just lose 30% of the total for the fence, which would have been $420. I had called him Friday and left a message for him to call me back. I had a vet emergency and then couldn't afford to lose the $420. So I was pretty much stuck with this guy. Jack never called me back. He had guys show up the next Wednesday with the materials and to do the fence. I had not left the gate open for them to do any work. I had talked to one of the workers through a security camera and told him jack needed to call me, I was at work, not even a minute later the worker came back on to tell me... jack didn't have my number and I needed to call him. At this point I am mad. You have $700 of mine and don't even have my number. He wanted to remove my gate and do the work. Which normally I wouldn't care but I didn't trust him at this point. We argued for a good ten minutes about the lack of communication and told him he could come the following Monday when someone was here to donthe work. He showed up the following Monday. Had his worker talk to me and ask me questions. The only time he spoke to me was when he wanted the remaining $700. He never apologized. Nothing. So if you want great work but shitty customer service and timeliness, mister fence is definitely the company for you. read more

if quality workmanship is important to you, I suggest you look elsewhere for a fence contractor. Some cedar boards not nailed, nails coming through other side, uneven and split pine boards, damage to neighbor property not reported by work crew, little regard for landscaping. Jack will respond that all was well and resolved and that he reached out to neighbor and paid her for damage. Yes, Jack came out corrected issue with the cedar boards but said the pine boards "should be fine", no offer to correct. He did pay what he thought the neighbor's damage was worth BUT he gave the money to me, the customer, not the property owner. Showed up at 6:30 for a 5:00 appt. I was in the middle of a phone call with another company that I just couldn't hang up on just because serviceman decided to show up finally. I asked him to wait a minute until I could get off the phone. It took 5 more minutes and when I checked, the guy was gone. So he couldn't wait 5 minutes, while I had waited for 1 1/2 hours. I guess his time is more valuable than mine. No phone call, no notice that he was running late. I know I had a small job, Mister Fence, but it was important to me. Same as MY time. read more

Pros: Finished Fence looked nice, Price was cheaper than other contractors contacted. Cons: Poor Customer Service: 1)After contract was signed, no word ever came from the company until I, the customer, had to call them only to find out work would not start until the week after the contract complete date. 2) After calling the owner at the agreed time and find out when he would come by to look at the property, apparently he needed more info than when his guy came out approx 4 weeks before and did the contract, he told me he would call back in 10mins-I had to call him back 2 hours later. Only to be told he would call back in 15 mins-I had to call him back an hour later...he would show up 15-20 mins after that but a lack of common courtesy I felt. 3)After complete, the crew left a couple blades around along with a pile of vinyl from cutting. It annoys me a little bit thinking about it now, but the owner had no issues asking where my outside electrical outlet was so he could power his tools, that's on me for allowing it. I just would have expected a more professional cleanup and thought towards customer satisfaction. Personal Lesson Learned: Never pay a contractor half of payment up front; If possible be present during the installation read more
