Billy and Matt replaced our tree limb damaged 10' cedar gate and did an outstanding job. Billy was responsive and honest about the job. Materials were handled easily and their can-do and on time work ethic is hard to find these days. Both great guys who do quality work. We will use them again for other projects. read more

Billy is the man! Can't beat the quality or the price! I've hired him multiple times and he never disappoints! This last fence job he did for me he did teardown and new fence up in 4 days! I've read some of the negative reviews, there is one thing you need to understand about Billy. Hes an old school blue collar worker. When you meet him youll understand. He may lack in some technological communication, but he makes up for that with the quality of his work. He is always busy, but if you're lucky enough to hire him, you wont regret the work that he does! read more

Billy did a good job! He met and gave me an estimate then a list of supply that I ordered and have them delivered to the house. He finished the job in 2 days. Everything was clear as well communication. I would recommend him to others read more

I almost hate to post this update, but after being blown off for three months in 2021 by Billy and again recently, I have to agree with the other frustrated posters who say he is difficult to get a hold of...and if you do, he may not actually keep his appointments. In 2021, I contacted him to replace the last of my wood fence with vinyl. For three months, he kept telling me he would come out and give me a quote and line up the work. I wasn't even going to get multiple quotes since I really liked his previous work. He never once let me know when he wasn't coming for a scheduled appointment. I eventually gave up on the replacement and went on to do other projects around my house. Now it's 2024 and I texted Billy again. He said he is still doing fence installs, so I asked him to come out. He stated he would come out last Friday at noon, so I agreed to work from home so we could look at the proposed work together. He didn't show up and didn't bother to let me know he wasn't coming. After reviewing our communications from 2021, it is clear he doesn't care about repeat customers. read more

I finally got a hold of Billy the owner, to come out to do a quote on a new fence install. He came out with his buddy and they did the measurements. He's so nice and so his buddy. He told me where he gets his fence from and it isn't any crappy material so I was happy about that. He was supposed to give me an estimate within a few days but after a week I called him and he didn't answer or call back. I texted him a few times and he said he will have the estimate to me by the end of the day. Well 3 months later still didn't happen. I'm not waiting any longer and moved on to the next company. I'm not sure if Billy is super busy but it's definitely not a way to run a business. So if you call and can't get in touch with him, let this be your warning. read more

Billy and his crew were awesome! They were able to start the fastest out of 6 companies, and gave us the cheapest quote as well. No contract or fuss, billy and his crew got to work and only asked for money when our house/the work site was completed and fully cleaned up. The quality of work is fantastic, and the postholes with cement were constructed very nicely and professionally. Very high attention to detail throughout the entire project. For such a large price tag, I was worried about who to go with for my house fence but billy and his guys did a great job. I couldn't recommend them enough! read more

Billy and his crew are OUTSTANDING at everything they do! Yes, they build EXCEPTIONAL fences, but don't be shy to ask if they also can tackle a variety of other odds and ends, like: two-story laundry pole removal, stump removal, two-story tall tree limb removal, BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM GATES, you name it! And their pricing is very reasonable, too! Our backyard neighbor hired them to remove their old privacy fence, and install (honestly, I'd use the word "CRAFT") a new privacy fence, with cap and band. When they were only on day 1 working on my backyard neighbor's fence, I asked if by chance they could remove an extremely large two-story metal laundry pole behind my house (see pics). They said absolutely and they could do it later that same day, and they gave me an unreal price to do it. Mind you, I have asked many other handymen, contractors, etc and all have said no (liability fears?). They even went above and beyond to ensure the base of the pole which was stuck in a humungous cement block, was filed down and bent inwards well below the ground for safety. Then, we asked about removing a partial privacy fence and long chain link fence, and install of matching neighbor's new privacy fence, to include a trash can corral with a gate going in and a gate going out so we could roll cans directly out onto driveway and down to street, as well as two other entry gates (one on each side of the house). They truly listened to each and every detail of our needs without a single hesitation, and understood everything we envisioned. As soon as they wrapped up my neighbor's fence, they went right to work on ours, then a few other neighbors who saw the work they were doing! Their work is just phenomenal and the crew is beyond professional, courteous, and respectful. Their attentional to detail is superb, and they ensured they left each day with everything secure and clean. Could not recommend this company enough, and it's great to know I can and will call them for probably any type of handy-man thing around the yard! read more

Billy was great to work with and was super responsive. I called to have one side of my fence plus a gate replaced and within less than 10 hours of initiating the phone call, I had a fence up. Not only was the quality of work great, they had everything cleaned up when they left. I feel so much safer with a good fence up, definitely using them again when I need services. read more

It's been about 2 weeks since Billy and his crew installed the stick built fence for me and over those 2 weeks there were around 6 or so pickets that warped towards the bottom. I called Billy and he stated that would be by as soon as he could and it would not be a problem for him to replace. There were a few days he stated he would show up but he didn't. It was not a problem for me though as he made sure to text me that he would not be able to make it due to some unforeseen issues. He did show up on the 3rd day though and replaced those 6 or so pickets fairly quickly no charge. Billy and his crew will really go out of their way to make sure your happy with their work and it shows. read more

Billy is wonderful! Our house backs up to an auto body school and their alarm has been going off a lot recently at night (I think someone knows there's probably some expensive equipment in there and is trying to break in). Our 6 foot fence wasn't cutting it for security purposes, so I called Billy about putting up an 8 foot fence. From the time I called him to the fence being completed it was only 4 days! He works fast, cleaned up his materials thoroughly, and was an overall great contractor. Plus, his price was the best in town! I'm so glad we hired him! read more

Billy was exceptional. He told me where to order my fence and it was a great price. He was at my house when the fence was delivered to make sure all the parts were there. His work ethic is amazing. He and Kris worked in the rain to finish our project. His price was 1,000 dollars less than other quotes I received. All the work was of very high quality. I highly recommend him. read more

Our backyard fence was completely wrecked. And I had five cypress trees that were ready to tip over at any time. They had grown too large and too heavy. I had already had to get rid of one after a storm last year. I had the fence held up with tow straps in places for fear that the wind was going to come along and take part of it away. I gave Armor a call based on Yelp reviews. William was out that same day to give me a quote. Work on the job commenced immediately. And despite trouble obtaining supplies via delivery which was totally the fault of the businesses we ordered lumber from. Not the fault of Armor. Despite this trouble Armor was able to Cut down all five cypress trees and haul the wood away AND complete my fence in a weeks time and it was no small task. 6 feet on the side 8 feet in the back. A functional (our previous one was in shambles) double drive gate installed on one side and then a very nice looking gate installed on our main access to the backyard. My family could not be happier and I could not recommend this business more. If you call them and let them do your work, you will not regret it. read more

So I can't review their service because I can't get ahold of them. I tried the number on yelp here and it goes straight to a message saying "The person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time. Please try again later." Maybe they didn't pay their phone bill? I go to their website, which has a second number. I call that number and get some random guy. I ask if this is Armor Fence and Deck and he says "No, we've been getting calls about them for years." Is this company even in business? read more

Billy and his team were extremely quick and professional from the moment they rang the doorbell. They were recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint! We got a 6 ft, wooden, privacy fence, about 115ft long & they finished in ONE day. He made sure that everything was to our liking before we paid him... and it all was! His prices are literally the best, really can't be beat. He is definitely someone we will continue to use. Thanks Billy! read more

Fantastic company!!! Billy gave an estimate on Wednesday evening , crew showed up on Thursday and got the job done in six back breaking hours! Cheerful crew despite 100+ degree heat. Work is beautiful and we are very happy with the result; the fences are once again standing up and we have a new fence and gate on the side of our garage. Armor Fence and Deck will be our first call for any future fence or deck work and we are very happy to recommend them without hesitation! read more

Billy really came through for me in a hurry! I needed a privacy fence in a rush because of some security issues. He came out on the spot, started the next day and had it done in a day and a half. It was no small job! They even removed a bunch of big branches and overgrowth. They really went above and beyond! The fence looks great and is very sturdy and secure. Exactly what I needed to feel safe in my yard! read more

Contacted Armor Fence & Deck after Veteran Home Repair.Inc was a no show. Billy stopped to provide an estimate that satisfied me and my wife. Billy, Mike, Jordan, and all the guys did a fantastic job installing my white vinyl fence. They were fast, knowledgeable, and professional and cleaned up everything afterward. I would highly recommend them. read more

We were extremely pleased with the quality and value of Billy's work. He was priced right, and his work was excellent. As importantly, he was attentive to the details of the fence AND the yard(s) he and his crew were in while they were working. The area was completely cleaned and raked before he left...couldn't be happier with the results. Thanks Billy!! Tony D. read more

Billy did an excellent job repairing our gate. Seamless transaction. Great experience.

Billy and his crew did a great job at a very good price. They had the fence up within two weeks of accepting job and it took 2 1/2 days to do. They took down old wooden fence and put up a vinyl fence. You pay for materials when they are delivered and the balance upon completion. They worked hard and took pride in their work. One comment mentioned punctuality. It's fair to say he doesn't arrive exactly when he says he will but he was there within the hour and once he got there it was nonstop work. Would not hesitate to have them do work for me in the future. read more

I had some trees knock out my fence during the last storm, and went to yelp to get some quotes. I called and Billy got out to my house with a proposal and had the job completed within 72 hours. Every single detail he told me ended up to be accurate throughout, including material costs within about $5 and he took the time to use the material that was still salvageable. I will be contacting them soon to repair my deck as well. Highly, highly recommended. read more

My mother-in-law has needed a fence in her side yard replaced for some time. I had called several companies, left messages but never received a response. I called Armor last Friday morning and received a call back from Billy that evening. He met me the next afternoon (Saturday), answered my questions, and quoted me a price. He estimated two days to complete the job. The Armor team started the job on Monday morning, temperature in the 20's. Due to lots of old unexpected concrete in the ground and the time to remove it, the job took three days. Billy stuck to his original quote and never complained. "No matter what it takes, I always win the battle". We are thoroughly pleased with the finished product and highly recommend Armor Fence and Deck. Robert Virginia Beach read more

Armor Fence built a privacy fence around my pool, and a 4ft spaced picket on both sides of my front yard to keep the neighborhood kids from cutting through my yard. This was about 7 years ago, and the fence still looks amazing. Had to call Billy back for a gate adjustment because over the years, and a lot of use, it started getting hard to close. He came by last weekend, and now its good as new. Highly recommend read more

Contacted Billy about a fence gate that needed to be fixed since it was in a very bad shape. He came on Friday 28 July to look at the job, came back Saturday with his crew and started the job at 10:00am. He was done at 5:00pm and I now have a brand new sturdy fence that I know is going to last for a long time. Billy did a job for me on my first house 13 years ago and when I found out that the house that I just bought needed a fence repair, I knew I had to call Billy again and just like the first job, he delivered when he said he would on a price that I already know would be cheaper than anyone. Call this guy if you have a fence or deck job and HE WILL GET IT DONE! read more

Our neighbor used Armor to put up a new fence. The fence borders our yard and I am so impressed with the quality that I had to comment on it. Billy and his team couldn't have been nicer and more considerate in keeping us informed and making sure there was a temporary fence up as we have dogs. The fence that faces our yard looks amazing. I will use them when we replace the rest of our fencing. read more

We had Billy and his crew replace two different types of fencing and replace the columns and rails on our front porch. Billy's price was by far the lowest and he was actually the only contractor willing to do the variety of work we needed. We had a section of old fence in our back yard replace with a solid 6 foot fence to match our neighbors. Next was two sections of the original fence on the front sides the house with a 6 foot sunrise cut and with large 6x6 posts. Finally the posts and rails on my front porch were replaced. Billy and his crew were great. All the craftsmanship was top notch. The materials they used were all first quality. I watched they select some of the wood and was very pleased with the quality they close. All the work was done to our specifications and in a short amount of time. In short they are great and the product they produce is of a high quality. I highly recommend them. read more
