They used to be good, but now it's a completely do-it-yourself car wash and not full service. They do not vacuum your car. They do not dry your car. They do not do the windows.. Years ago, this was my go-to place where I always felt I received good value for the price paid. Those days are gone. The price is way up there now, which I would be willing to pay perhaps, but not with the quality of the clean. The last time I went was the last time I will ever go, and when I looked into my back seat once I got home, I see my dogs' dusty paw prints on the back seat and noticed that the inside doors had not been wiped down either. No thanks. It was a rip off, so my tip off to you is do not go if you want a clean vehicle. Losing me as a customer may not be a bit hit to this outfit, but as it turns out my daughter asked for a gift certificate for car washes, and guess who I did not buy from? Mister Carwash. It reminded me to leave this review. I always tip, but now know to never tip until I take a close look at the finished product. Don't own a jeep and go here. They want your money and don't want to provide a service. All the sudden they've chosen to raise prices and then retract certain brushes because they may have seen an issue. The workers are friendly and the wash does the trick. Free vacuums too! What is there not to like? After your car wash you can towel off any spots that may be wet and to vacuum the interior. I had a bunch of bugs on my vehicle and the first wash did the trick to get the majority of it off. I went through the wash again and now it's sparkly. Thank you guys! read more

I'd been taking my car here for months with no issues. One day the guy directing me entering the wash failed to do so accurately (his entire job's purpose is doing this) and I felt my car hit the rail. When I came out I parked and inspected my car and sure enough my rim was damaged. I spoke with the assistant manager who took down my information and told me to speak with the GM the next day. When I did she rudely told me it takes 24-48 hours to get a response from their claims department. Flash forward to over a MONTH later and after numerous calls, checking in, and being told someone would get in contact with me I'm finally told that the claim was denied. The vacuums were so weak and there wasn't an air compressor spray like there is at my regular location. The employees are amazing and always smiling. Great job. However there is always something broken. For the past 2 weeks multiple vacuums bays are down which ends with a line of cars to clean the inside of their cars. This is getting old. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the lady that is greeting everyone was very nice and professional. Other than that, worst car wash ever. They try and up sell you on their different car washes but there is no way you are getting the "upgrades." They pile in cars into the wash and you aren't even 5 feet away from the cars in front of you! So everyone is getting the SAME wash. There were no differences or different soaps or shines. There isn't anyone scrubbing your grill before you enter the wash OR no one drying your car off after you exit. Comparing the current experience at mr car wash to the prior owner experience, the service has deteriorated. They took away some of the things like spray and clean rags that made the prior company stand out. Wash not as good and they no longer pre wash wheels and rear end. Also cut way back on staff but wash prices do not reflect the decrease in services. Disappointing. The absolute worse car wash. I purchased the $16 wash and when I parked to dry it there is a sticky substance all over both drivers and passenger side. It well not come off with a towel. I brought this to the attention of the assistant manager who decided it was from the tire shine. I asked if she had a towel I could use to help remove it and she did not. I asked what she could do to remove all of the black marks that are all over my jeep. She said there was nothing she could do except give me coupons for a free car wash next time. They have a very crude operation going on there. When you have to get out your vehicle to inspect for damage after getting your car washed that's sketchy in and of itself. They had a lag in there wash line so my wash got stopped abruptly with the automated rags just sitting on my car. Then as I came out the wash I pulled to the side to inspect my car and they started yelling at me to get out of the way for the other cars instead of asking if everything was okay or if something was wrong. Literally as I was pulling into the wash I noticed one of their employees not in-line with the track and someone's rims were dang near getting scratched up Def won't be going back there for sure even have soap spots left all on my car. We frequent this car wash because it is on our drive home from school. The people are always very friendly and courteous. I've never gone through the car wash and the bird poop come off though. On more than one occasion I've asked if I could go through a second time which they happily have obliged. I don't always have time to go through the line a second time and wish that they would either scrub it down before it goes through or use different soaps that dissolve these things better. I will continue to go to Mr.carwash because it's convenient but I hate that my car is never clean clean when I'm done. It would also be nice if they had rags and cleaning supplies were the vacuums are for us to get rid of things that the car wash didn't. read more

The new automated system doesn't work if you have bird poop or bugs or, you know, dirt on your car. The reason I liked this place was that 1. the people were friendly, 2. they pre-sprayed the car for bugs and poop, 3. they taped down the back wiper (mine flies off in the wash sometimes), and 4. they brushed the front for bugs. None of these things happen anymore, and surprise! My car leaves dirty now. This is my last month of a 2 year long membership. Oh, and replacing people with machines that don't do the job right sucks! read more

Today on September September 25th this went to Mr. Car wash like I do several times a week as I am a monthly customer today was a little different my license plates holder or holster it was broken and my car was the car was the paint which was chipped in the front yeah right stood outside wait waited for the general manager whose name is Kennedy shaeffer I may say was very very rude no customer service at all. Took 35 minutes to come out to speak to me in regards to my vehicle it took me having to call corporate to speak to representative in order to get things handled. When I tell you that I will never do business with Mr. Car wash again I have had monthly service since I 1st purchased my car in March I will not do business with them again and I will tell friends and family not to do business with them again along with my company that I work for which I noticed that a lot of my technicians use their service this is absolutely ridiculous I do not care how small or minor someone thinks that damage is to your car when your establishment Damages a customer's vehicle you should want to do everything you can to diffuse the situation. read more

I would not recommend getting their $18 Platinum wash. My car had streaks and dry water specks all over after being washed. The wheels were not clean and the tires were not shiny despite being part of the package. Only positive were the free vacuums. read more

Last week the Batmobile gave me notice that she was going on strike if I did not clean her up. After thinking about it for awhile I remember it has been six months since her last shine. Yep after a quick inspection she looked pretty dirty. But, But I like my women dirty. NO, OK! OK now I am thinking she has to make an appearance at a ROTD event at Uchi so she needs to be buffed and cleaned and shined. I remembered a new place nearby called Hydro Clean, so I guided the Batmobile there to get cleaned. They have a three price tier for $8, $12, $16. I opted for the $12 version. The $12 version included bug spray on window, pre soak, wheel foamer, underbody wash, rust protection, foam blast, soft cloth wash, and a spot free rinse. The guys at the beginning washed the car down with the foam brushes and then you sit in your car while it runs through the wash, at the end a guy dries the car off. It doesn't take very long. Then of course you then drive over to the vacuums and clean the inside of the car yourself or if you don't have time just zip away. I gave the Batmobile a look over after the wash was complete and Hydro Clean did a very good job. Yes they include a 72 hour weather guarantee so keep the receipt. Would I go back? Yes, to keep the Batmobile nice and shiny. read more

I went through the wash as normal. Went to the vacuum area and noticed scratches on my car hood and trunk. I talked to the employee and she immediately turned me down and said they don't have any cleaners that go in the pattern of my scratches. I laughed on the inside since the vertical cleaners very clearly go in the pattern. You could even see the water marks in the same pattern from being spread around by the cleaners. Whatever. I explained to her that my car was in an accident recently and that these were brand new replacement parts and were freshly painted. She tried to deflect blame and tell me they only applied a clear coat to the car and it actually wasn't painted. I'm pretty sure she's not qualified enough to make that conclusion. The hilarious part is that the trunk of my car was scratched in the pattern she described of her cleaners but at that point I just made a business decision to not argue with her and just post a review after. She told me that if it was the machines it would be happening to every car. I don't think all cars are painted with the same kinds of paint so I don't find this to be an accurate statement on her part. The scratches don't bother me, what really bothers me is how quick she was to turn down my remarks and blame some other party. I keep my car in my garage and covered and I haven't gone out much because I was hurt from the accident, so the chances of it being from somewhere else is very slim. Shameful. read more

I have a Hyundai Veloster and went through on a platinum package. the brushes didn't touch the right side of my car. they let me through again and they told me that the brushes will be reset to touch the car but it did not for the second time. the drying is so quick and inadequate that the car is still dripping wet. read more

2/20/2019 I thought $20/month for unlimited carwashes was a great deal until my car was damaged at the Gattis School Rd. location. I called my insurance and their corporate office immediately. There were only teenagers working at the time, so they attempted to fix my car before telling me I should just "superglue" it. I was contacted by a manager the next day and told that I had to drive all the way back to that location for them to take pictures because they neglected to do so the day prior. The staff was short with me and very dismissive. I was given an incident number and a contact number for the claims department. I called and left numerous messages, and have yet to receive a response after weeks of trying. I will update my review accordingly. Update: Still nothing good to say about this place. My grandfather also had issues with them. I have since switched my carwash subscription to Wash&Roll. Check out my review for those guys. (They're much better) read more

My rating is dropping, along with my satisfaction of this car wash. They've discontinued the quick towel dry at end of line, and the blowers do a poor job. So you're left with a half dry car (puddles all over hood), which is obviously a dust magnet (not to mention all the water spots). Car does not look good by time I get home. Vacuum suction strength varies from decent to Dustbuster power, for no apparent If things do not improve in next couple of months, I'll cancel my monthly membership.... which is actually a pretty good deal if you're getting a good experience. 2/25/20 update: seriously management, fix your damn blowers!!! A car wash which leaves car soaking wet is not very helpful. Alternatively, how about reassigning one of your 3 or 4 "greeters" back to towel duty? I'm growing weary of having to take 10 mins to dry my car here, and I'm very close to cancelling my membership. read more

Since it was bought by Mister, the price has gone up and the service has gone down. It's all automated now, you can get a similar wash at any gas station. No drying at the end so be sure to bring a towel... The "free" vacuums are convenient, but definitely not free. Within the last year this location did some "upgrades" like the air blowers and got rid of the hand drying. What I can't figure is why they got rid of the hand drying. The blowers don't work that well but then they have FOUR people hanging out at the two lane automatic pay entrance. It would be great if two of them went back to hand drying. read more

Just purchased a Ford Raptor. Proceeded through the car wash after the direction of the attendant. The truck was not really fitting on the track. Rolled down the window and I said are you sure it's going to fit?The attendant said yes, you're fine. 1/4 way through it popped off the track. They shut the car wash down and had me drive out and come around for another try. The second time the brand new tires popped and damaged my rim and the steel footing of the machine. The attendant apologized and Walter the general manager took pictures and assured me that they will take care of it. They acknowledged it was their fault. I had the truck towed and footed the bill. After the estimate/invoices of over $3700 of total damages they denied the entire claim saying it's aftermarket. At minimum aren't all tires aftermarket? They won't even cover 1 tire. Nothing in writing or any signs are up claiming such a policy. I strongly recommend another car wash as they are extremely cold, unreasonable, and didn't even offer (from any higher up) an apology. read more

I have been going to HydroClean since they first opened their doors. I started off with the cheapest wash each time I visited and ended up signing on a monthly plan once they announced they were adding multi-car services to their monthly plan. I was paying around $50/month to be able to bring either of my 2 cars in as frequently as possible and that was for their mid-range wash. Their staff was friendly, the wash was great, and I LOVED the vacuums. Sometimes I would go there JUST for the vacuums. The past few months the vacuums have been pretty awful. Lots of the bays were not working at all, or cleaned so poorly my dying Dustbuster could have done better. I put up with it though because of all the other great stuff. Then the BIG BAD Mister Car Wash took over. I received no notification that they were taking over, no notice that my credit card would be processed by anyone else, didn't even notice they had changed at first until I went through the car wash a couple of weeks ago and it was like a night club in there. Bright LED lights of varying colors now flashed over and around my car as pretty rainbow soap (something Hydroclean stopped using a while back) was doused on my car and cleaned off with the machinery inside. I pulled up to the stalls to vacuum my floors and while I was fighting with the crappy vacuums, I noticed the temporary Mister Carwash sign draped over the Hydroclean sign. I figured maybe the vacuums would finally get fixed since the well known chain was taking over. Today I stopped in to get a car wash and was informed my credit card was declined. I told the girl in her fancy new Mister Carwash uniform that it had expired and handed her my new card to charge me for the next month. She said, at Mister Carwash there is no more multi-car plan - each car has to pay $35/plus tax for service, unless I wanted to downgrade to the most basic of all car washes for $19. At Mister Carwash there is no more mid-range plan. At Mister Carwash, the prices all went up for the single car washes at well. I looked over to the vacuum bays and noticed most of the stalls were still down, and the nice tarp to keep me from baking in the sun as I vacuumed were now gone. I told her that I didn't like Mister Carwash and that I would take my business elsewhere. Such a shame. read more

I bought one of those cards for bulk car wash from HydroClean and today when I was there, they claim that there is no record of it and try to take away my card. She never told me that the biz was sold to Mister Carwash until I noticed a lot of things are very different now, the shade is take down and never fixed and the pricing changed as well. Man! I love this place! When I was in college at Texas Tech there was a place just like this and it was awesome. Reasonably cheap, quick and vacuums are free. Wouldn't you know that this is owned by the same family? They moved here to open an Austin location. The attendants were super friendly and the vacuums are no joke. They sucked at least a month worth of cheerios, crumbs and God knows what else out of my sons carseat like it was nothing. Way to go! read more
