I've heard so many good things about Missy's that I had to stop in. The lady behind the counter was very pleasant and had a beautiful smile. Everything looked so delicious and smelled heavenly that I wanted it all. I bought a jelly donut, chocolate cake donut with nuts and a cronut. I love jelly donuts and this one was so soft and the jelly was perfect. The chocolate cake reminds of what my mom used to make for me and it was perfection. I'm saving the cronut for later but it smells so good. The cupcakes look so yummy and she mentioned that they cakes as well. I will be ordering a cake from here when it's my birthday. I stopped in here on Valentine's day and by 2pm their selection was a little slim, but since they're only open until 3pm that was not surprising. I saw on their menu board they have Gluten Free options, but the woman behind the counter confirmed it's custom order only. Still, it's good that it's an option if you order ahead. And their macrons are GF so I got some of those. They had 11 different flavors, though I only saw tags for some of those flavors so the rest will be a surprise! I also got 4 cupcakes and I had committed myself to buying 4 but wasn't sure I loved 4 flavors of what was left. I ended up with (in order of interest): apple pie, black forest, snickerdoodle and mint chocolate. I should have read my review from 12 years ago because the mint chocolate still tastes like toothpaste to me, but it's a very mild mint so that's good. I wasn't sure I'd like the snickerdoodle but it was amazing! The black forest cupcake had a maraschino cherry inside, which was an awesome surprise! I ate the apple pie one last and it had a little actual apple pie filling inside of it! LOVE THAT!! It feels sacrilegious of me to say, but I think the cupcakes have just a little too much frosting. It's also fair to say these are not cheap cupcakes. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and they look beautiful, and you pay a premium for all that. While hunting for a sweet treat for a birthday I didn't want to go with the chain spots and thankfully found Missy cupcakes on Yelp. Had I not used Yelp I would have never known the gym existed because the exterior still has a donut sign out front because they do more than cupcakes at this location. Right off the gate the interior is very aesthetic and welcoming. Look into the cases and you see a ton of beautifully created works of art. I work down the street and was looking for a snack on my break. I Yelped donuts around me and this place popped up. The shop was small but looked like a bakery. I was a little disappointed by the selection but was went with it. I wanted a chocolate glazed with sprinkles but they only had day old ones. I opted for a vegan chocolate with sprinkles, cinnamon roll and glazed donut, $7.50. The service was fast. The donuts were all pretty dense. They tasted more like a bread. Missy is absolutely wonderful! I was picking up an order but was running late due to major traffic. She stayed back for me and made sure I got my order, AND she had such a good attitude about it. These are the interactions that make me want to give a small business my money, when the owner cares about every person that comes in even if it's not a huge money maker. Found this location on the 2g2g (too good to go) site and decided to see what they had to offer. The idea of 2g2g is to get more than what you pay for, so on the site, for this place, you pay $6 and should be getting $18 worth of food for the price. We picked up our surprise box today and it literally had 6 small donuts and about 8 donut holes.....please tell me how this is worth $18, unless the donuts are $3 each? This is absurd. The 1 star is not for quality but for what they say they are giving you as part of the 2g2g website. There is no way we received $18 worth of goodies when we only received 6 donuts and some donut holes. Will never return for the 2g2g and now probably won't return for any future donuts since it appears they are way over charging for their product. read more

Stopped to get a sweet treat with my family today and was so pleasantly surprised by Missy's! I got the vegan lemon cupcake and it was the best cupcake I've ever had! With COVID, everything switched around on us including the original plan, Missy had to wrap each dessert individually, and we had a venue change 16 hours before the wedding. There was a time in my life were I tried to hit up every cupcake joint to see who had the best cupcakes. This is when the cupcake craze was going around super tough. If there was a cupcake place people were talking crazy about, I tried to be there. We'll guess what? No one is talking crazy about this place and these are by far the BEST cupcakes I've ever had and I've been to quite a few places. I put them in this order: - Dreamy Creations. They were on cupcake wars (Northridge). - Crave (Sherman Oaks) - Bella Donnas (Canoga Park) - La Creme Bakery (Woodland Hills) - Nothing Bundt Cakes (Sherman Oaks) - Sprinkles (Beverly Hills) Missy's kills all these places and I'd be willing to put something on it! I've turned a few people on to Missy's and once they taste it they either give two reactions. Their eyes either roll back into their head and say OMG or they say there is too much frosting so they scrape some off and murder the cupcake while asking a million questions. These cupcakes are so moist and rich that it's almost too good to be true and she adds fruit or some sort of filling in the middle that gives it that perfect touch. These are the ones I've tried and this is the order I like them in. - Bacon Cupcake!!!!! (only on Sundays) - Apple pie or cobbler (not sure) - Strawberry Kiss - Peanut Butter Cup - Red Velvet I still have plenty more to try like the Key Lime in Coconut, the Snickerdoodle and the Lemon Drop one which I'll probably give a go next week. The best part of the cupcakes here would have to be the frosting.. I'm not really a frosting kinda girl, but especially the cream cheese frosting... Was on point! Overall, the we just OK cupcakes: the red velvet was bland and dry and the snicker doodle was wayyyyy to sweet, I actually got a headache after my first bite. For $4.00 a cupcake seems a bit steep. I prefer my cupcakes on the moist end..with flavor. The actual store has a great location, right in the Channel Islands pier. It's almost like half boutique half bakery.
