    Hand painted chocolate cake

We ordered a chocolate cake, lemon meringue mini pies and passion fruit pana cotta and everything was AMAZING!!! The cake was probably one of the best cakes I've ever had. So moist and not overly sweet. The custom desserts were so creative end delicious. A true talent!!!

Flourless Chocolate cakes with raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream. Beautiful presentation and flavors exquisite.

From the…read morevery beginning, she was warm, kind, and genuinely lovely to work with -- exactly the kind of person you hope to have around during such an important event. She created the most beautiful three-tier cake for us with delicate pearl details and softly textured rustic tiers that fit the wedding perfectly. It looked stunning, but what everyone kept talking about was how good it tasted. We chose different flavor combinations for each tier, and every single one was incredibly moist, flavorful, and delicious. For anyone debating between a cake and a dessert table, Ali does both beautifully -- but there's something so special about having a gorgeous cake as part of the celebration. Ours became such a focal point of the reception, and the cake cutting ended up being one of the sweetest, most heartfelt moments of the evening. I'm so glad we chose to include one. Ali also handled delivery and placement flawlessly, which made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and are so grateful for the care and talent she brought to the day.

I have food allergies and the bakery went above and beyond to make sure I could enjoy our wedding cake! They are incredibly detail oriented as well, and asked specific questions, to ensure we got exactly the cake we were hoping for. We would absolutely order a cake through them again for future needs!

Everything looked so delicious and smelled heavenly that I wanted it all. I bought a jelly donut, chocolate cake donut with nuts and a cronut. I love jelly donuts and this one was so soft and the jelly was perfect. The chocolate cake reminds of what my mom used to make for me and it was perfection. I'm saving the cronut for later but it smells so good. The cupcakes look so yummy and she mentioned that they cakes as well. I will be ordering a cake from here when it's my birthday. Do yourself a favor and stop by and pickup some donuts you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to try her cakes.

I saw on their menu board they have Gluten Free options, but the woman behind the counter confirmed it's custom order only. Still, it's good that it's an option if you order ahead. And their macrons are GF so I got some of those. They had 11 different flavors, though I only saw tags for some of those flavors so the rest will be a surprise! I also got 4 cupcakes and I had committed myself to buying 4 but wasn't sure I loved 4 flavors of what was left. I ended up with (in order of interest): apple pie, black forest, snickerdoodle and mint chocolate. I should have read my review from 12 years ago because the mint chocolate still tastes like toothpaste to me, but it's a very mild mint so that's good. I wasn't sure I'd like the snickerdoodle but it was amazing! The black forest cupcake had a maraschino cherry inside, which was an awesome surprise! I ate the apple pie one last and it had a little actual apple pie filling inside of it! LOVE THAT!! It feels sacrilegious of me to say, but I think the cupcakes have just a little too much frosting. It's also fair to say these are not cheap cupcakes. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and they look beautiful, and you pay a premium for all that. Overall, I highly recommend these cupcakes and will definitely stop here again.

Finding a restaurant that can handle our motley crew including a senior citizen with a walker and a very camera ready little dog has its challenges. Today, on our way back from central CA we stopped off at Cafe Nouveau for breakfast. I think we were their first customers of the day. They helped us navigate thru the back patio with the walker to a well situated spot. Jason, our server was attentive and knowledgeable providing recommendations on what to order, spice levels, and comparisons between breakfast options. Jason B was great and represented Cafe N very well. We usually drive up to Cambria / Paso twice a year. We have found our new spot to stop off and break up the drive with a tasty meal. You should find it too. All of the team will make you feel welcomed.

Curiosity got the best of me because it looked like a house so I decided to dig a little bit more into it. Apparently, it's a 1920s Spanish bungalow They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is attentive and very friendly. Now the food... Oh man, it was delicious!! I was eating healthy and got just a plain chicken bowl and that was really nothing to write about, but that was my fault because who gets that when surrounded by such yummy food like Strawberry Matcha pancakes or Churro French Toast with kiwi, banana, berries and chantilly cream ‍ Anyways, we got the maple bacon beignets for the table and wow, that was delicious. Warm, fluffy, sweet, salty... yummm!! My son got the 2+2+2. At $23 it was a little pricey for two eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes, but the pancakes were huge and barely fit on the plate. The bacon was also very thick and tasty. Warning: That the house made vanilla caramel syrup they serve is super addicting and you're gonna want to drizzle everything with it!! Everyone else at the table was really happy with what they ordered. Someone also ordered a biscuit on the side and that was by far the fluffiest biscuit I had ever seen. Usually they can be dry and hard, but this one was quite opposite. I've seen other pictures online and I guess it can be a hit or a miss because they don't seem to be consistent. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town and this time actually try the other plates I was eyeing

I was both surprised and delighted to see there were Keto friendly items and they even carry a Keto All-Purpose flour I have been wanting to try. They had a few varieties of Carbonaut breads and pizza crusts in their freezer section. They carry Santa Barbara cookies, a great self-serve coffee beans section and lots of gluten-free and vegan options. Some of the prices are comparable to Whole Foods but some were even higher. Most common items sell for $2-3 more than what you would pay for at Sprouts or Vons. This is a convenient location to my home close to The Ave and I can see how this would be a great place to shop when making a special recipe. It's a clean store and it's a nice place to shop if you don't like crowds or transients on every aisle.

Every aisle is loaded with interesting items that will stop you dead in your tracks. I could easily spend an hour just tripping on products here. Actually, I have. A couple times. lol. But the main reason I love Ventura Ranch Market is that they have, without question, the best selection of potato chips you will find anywhere in Ventura. In addition to the city's best selection of the always great Boulder brand potato chips (even more than Sprouts), Ventura Ranch Market carries Taco Works Chips from San Luis Obispo. Those Taco Works Chips are fire, Yo. But as good as those chips are, they don't come close to the exalted excellence of the magnificent Torres brand Chips, imported from Spain. Ventura Ranch Market has a fantastic selection of Torres Chips. They have my favorite flavors, like Iberian Ham, and Mediterranean Herbs. They also have some flavors I've never seen, like Fried Egg, and Caviar. Honestly, I would try any flavor of Torres Chips, I don't care how weird they might sound. Those chips are freaking excellent. Ventura Ranch Market also carries my current favorite brand of Tortilla Chips, La Rosa. They're nice and thick and fried a little darker than most major brand commercial totopos. I like that. Another super great thing about this amazing little market is they carry Rosa Brothers Milk in glass bottles. I love milk in glass bottles! Especially Chocolate milk. Well, Ventura Ranch Market has Chocolate flavored Milk, Banana flavored Milk, Root Beer flavored Milk and even more flavors that I can't remember. So many flavors! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention they offer complimentary coffee and cookies here. First time I saw it I was like, oh, that's a nice thing to do for the Grand Opening. Then I went back like a month later and they still have cookies. It's a permanent feature. And the cookies are good! Thank you very much! Free cookies and coffee while you shop. Who even does that? Mikey C says: Ventura Ranch Market, that's who .
