Food was good. Service was crap. Server spent more time talking to other server by the bar. Couldn't get a second beer

Not even a shadow of what his place once was. I lived in Mission for 12 years and this place rocked. Then. Had dinner tonight. Not hard - 2 cocktails: dbl spicy Cesar's. Wings, Dry Ribs and Cesar salad. Wings are completely different from past visits, skinless unseasoned chicken with broken sharded bones that if ingested can kill you, and even with a bowl full of sauce completely tasteless, with an overpowering chicken-y taste that informs like when fish gets 'fishy'. My 'to go' box got 'to go' straight into the trash when I got home. Dry Ribs were wet with massive uncooked fat.. dipped on the deep fry and pulled out moments later. Probably ate raw Pork. Almost threw up on way home. True. Cesar Salad? Wet lettuce with a couple shavings of parm and a handful of dry bread. No sauce. Literally. NO CESAR SALAD SAUCE. In a Cesar salad. Right on. And the cocktail Cesar's? Tasted like the dishwasher was putting laundry gel packs in the dishwasher by mistake. Floral soapy cup, not spicy, and when asking the server about these mystery tastes and ingredients, she said, "of course I used the V-8 mix!". Ah. No wet wipes for the wings, and with the 3 napkins presented, it wasn't the cleanest experience, which made sense as the table itself was a medley of prior meals. Perhaps scraping the wings across the "seasoned table" could have produced better results, but hindsight is 20/20. Then the disappearance. She was gone. Should we call 'Cold case' for an investigation? No. She showed up wanting the 'man' to pay the bill, (what, do men tip better?) but said 'man' was busy in the washroom washing his hands and face from the clown face painting day called chicken wings at Mission Springs. Do you know what my GOOD REVIEW is? Coming here multiple times a week for 12 years giving my business and excellent tips, which were deserved in their heyday. Coming back and spending hard earned money was my review. My money kept the lights on. My money kept the operation - operational. It's sad to see on other platforms the manager literally attacking the progressively bad reviews. Do you know what makes a 'good business'? Well, for starters, it takes 'being good'. Blaming customers will not help. Calling those you want to walk in your door your enemy will certainly make them just that. Some advice. I have worked in several Resty's as cook, and am the cook of the house; a joy by the way. If making a meal for someone to enjoy, and to nourish them from stomach to spirit, is not your gifting in this world, then what are you actually attempting? And if a heart of service, as in the gifting of making your guests feel that they are in for something special, an experience, and treatment they would NOT find at another establishment, is not in your wheelhouse.. then why pretend it to be so? Imagine, if you will, the 'idea' of Restaurant owners betwixt with, say: Doctors and a Hospital. "Yeah..we got 'em", "He's ok, feed him a little more whiskey!", "Well, we tried our best, but we lost 'em." You either know what you are doing, or simply you do not. And if you don't, why do you pretend? At this point - unfortunately - Mission Springs has gone the way of Theatre, the ILLUSION of what is as once. So long, goodbye, may Gods grace be upon you, may his face shone heavily upon you.. But I cannot truly understand the utter garbage you are expecting people to pay truly hard earned money for. The day we were there the patio was closed because of the heat. It is a typical pub, very noisy and busy. It is also very dark inside. They do allow families with children which I found very surprising. We had just returned home from a driving trip and were looking for a light meal and did not want to spend a great deal of money. The service was average. It took awhile to place our order. I had an order of chicken wings that were $15.00 husband had a hamburger that was over $21.00. The food was good but this is not an upscale restaurant and the food is seriously overpriced when the venue is taken into consideration. Food was great. Once we had our food, the Server forgot about us until we were done. Had the pulled pork nachos with guacamole, half order, feeds two easily and loaded... so many things to look at in the pub, it's a collectors dream. Warm, like a pub should be with a sunken area and an outdoor patio. read more

Pretty solid food with great portion sizes. We had a huge party of 12 but they were able to fit us comfortably and our server was very patient and friendly. Most of our party ordered burgers which looked impressive and were reportedly delicious. I couldn't decide, so I ordered 2 appetizers, the chicken strips and the dry rub ribs. The chicken tenders were pretty average. I tried their maple mustard sauce which is probably a play on honey mustard; however the after taste of maple is kind of interesting? but not in the best way. I did really enjoy their dry ribs. The flavor was great, meat fell off the bone, comes in a decent portion size for an appetizer, and you're hands are slightly more clean than if they were sauce/wet. read more

Went here for the first time last night. Trinity was out server. My husband and i shared the spinach artichoke dip. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had the route 66 burger. Everything was absolutely delicious! They were very busy, but Trinity still did a great job. We will definitely go there again! read more

My mother lives out in Mission, so I try different breweries & pubs in the Fraser Valley thanks to her location. Mission Springs is a special one that I have been to multiple times. Not only do they make their own craft beer, the pub is somewhat like a museum of sorts! They have memorabilia & stuff everywhere and I don't mean just little things I'm talking vintage gas pump etc., you will see! They have Tailgate & Sunday buffets for $22, volleyball court, pool table and lots of patio space! The food is a average pub fare with burgers, gourmet fries, pizza, & the portions are huge and filling... BE WARNED! You will want a nap after! Easy location just off Lougheed Hwy overlooking the Fraser River near the Walmart. Their beers are good, get a flight if you can't decide. The Trailblazer Pilsner is interesting, with a nice bitter bite at the end, I rather like it. My other favorite is the White Owl Pale Ale, with a hint of pine, yum! The service is hit or miss, sadly mostly a miss. I've had to wave down servers after 25+ min. of waiting as they zoom around past me. One time it was attentive. It depends how busy they are or if you got a server who's been there for awhile or someone new, it really does vary. They have an on-site liquor store as well. 3.5 stars if I could. read more

If one is hungry and thirsty while in Mission, this is the place to be. Parking is available in the large lot around the building. The inside has a bit of a vintage feel, with wagon parts and old road and gas station signs adorning the walls and ceiling. The dining area is irregularly shaped, with several steps between the areas. Something to keep in mind. Not the most wheelchair friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful. The thing to go for here here is the $17 Tailgate dinner buffet (Fridays to Sundays). Fairly decent food selection, and so much of it. This was worth every penny. Salads, onions rings, ribs, seafood, chicken, pulled pork, fajitas, and more. My buddy and I destroyed ourselves with great prejudice and reckless abandon. Both of us were ready to explode in no time. I know where I'm going for dinner if it's a weekend and I'm in the area. Recommended. read more

Delightful, friendly, and comfortable. I have been eating at the Springs for many years, and it's always been a pretty good dining experience. The food is properly prepared and served quickly, the staff seems genuinely interested in providing good service, and the menu prices are surprisingly affordable. Lately, the place has somehow managed to get even better. Whenever I'm considering a place to go for a meal with friends, the Springs is always heavily favored in the discussion. The Brewmaster's burger is delectable. Especially if you add grilled mushrooms. Next time, I'm going to be adventurous and see about adding a grilled pineapple as well. See you soon! read more

We came for the karaoke. Some of us had food, most of us had drinks. VERY DISAPPOINTED that when we spoke up about watered down Patron that was clearly only 1 1/2 ounces when 2 ounces were ordered (and we were being charged for 2 ounces) we were asked to leave. The servers/manager would not admit they were in the wrong and fix their mistake. They then proceeded to ask the table to leave. Then, after we left, and about 10 minutes later they also asked our friends at the adjacent table to leave. None of which even heard the conversation about the incorrect beverage and really had no idea why they were being asked to leave. WE WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER GO BACK!!! read more

Called to inquire about Mother's Day Brunch was told no reservations were required for groups of 10 our less, wait time would be about 15 minutes. Upon arrival the parking lot was almost empty found this strange once inside there was no brunch being served at all, UGH!!! we decided to order from the menu what a disappointment. this was once a great spot the service was slow the place is now very dirty white ceiling fans have 1/2 inch of dirt on the and other decor is thick in dust, table and chairs all wobble run down restaurant. I ordered the two piece fish and chips or should I say Batter and Chips three bites into the batter until you got to a tiny piece of fish very deceiving. Our waitress was amazing. She gave us attention like a five star restaurant. Beef dip was on special and it was fabulous. Unfortunately for them the restaurant is closed so we had to sit on the bar side. It was fine but I was sad that this place doesn't have enough staff due to Covid and who knows whatever else. Once again this place proves to be an enjoyable way to end a warm day of hiking. I'm really not a pub food fan but this place does it right. The meat lovers pizza was awesome and today's deal was $5 off pizzas... So for 12 on a pizza that could be shared by 2.. (with a salad),.. good value. But don't go if you want a fun night out with friends or just your significant other at a "pub" because it's no longer a pub. We went for brunch at Mission Springs because we remembered that they have a buffet that you can enjoy. We were very surprised when we went up to grab our meals and it was not what we remembered. There are no fresh omelettes, or crepes, and there isn't even real whipped cream. The waffles were so hard when we bit down it was as hard as a croutons! And the crepes, and pancakes were just as bad because they were too both dry and has hard crunchy edges. Your pancakes should never be crunchy! The scrambled eggs were crumbly and dry. The hash brows and popcorn shrimp where harder than preference and also dry. There was nothing particularly special about the selection of the buffet. And when we were told that the cost of $22/person was a deal because it included our tea and coffee, we were in shock. Brunch cost us nearly $50, for a sub par meal. The atmosphere is fun and retro, but for the cost of what they want it's not worn. We would not recommend for brunch. read more

So went there last weekend for the breakfast buffet. It has really gone downhill and they are Charging MORE. Not worth it service has gone from mediocre to poor they just don't care about you or the food. A great brew pub, nice atmosphere in a rustic styles space - Shame about the river view, it's an opportunity missed. The food is good wholesome fare, with emphasis on hearty. The wood fired Pizza is a surprise speciality which I highly recommend especially the chicken pesto, garlic chicken and bourbon bacon, although the last is a little on the sweet side. The buffet is good value and hearty if a bit much, especially if you hit up the poutine bar. Beer is solid as a rock - good choices and not too shabby. Especially the Fraser valley ipa and blue collar pale ale. Good place for a drink with the lads or a date night with the missus. read more

ATROCIOUS SERVICE!! Table was covered with smudged food from previous patrons-had to ask the server to have it cleaned twice and when she did it was a very poor effort, still crap on the table! I would say they were at 10% capacity at 2 in the afternoon, so this was not due to being extremely busy, lunch rush was over. Asked for waters and they basically arrived with our bill. No apologies and given incorrect contact information to address this with the manager. On a positive note-the food was great, kudos to the kitchen staff - too bad the servers cannot uphold the same standard of service!! read more

We went here for lunch on Mother's Day and got a spot right away in the pub. We ordered the mission springs burger and the meat lovers pizza and both were AMAZING ! The crust on the pizza was perfect and I usually don't love pizza to begin with. I got yam fries with my burger and they were some of the best yam fries I've had. I definitely recommend. Service wasn't 100% but the food made up for it. Came back here a few weeks ago. Mid september 2019. Our waitress has us as a table and that's it. She messed up on my entire order. I got the springs burger with yam fries and no tomato. It came out cold, no fries and no sauce bun or any other toppings. Had to ask for the sweet potato fries which in turn took her 15 mins to even go to the kitchen to place the order. Very unfortunate service this time around. read more

We've eaten here three times since moving back to the Majnland and have not been disappointed yet. Food is good. Not gourmet but solid pub fare - then again, we come for the atmosphere, the eats are just a bonus. Our kids get a kick out of this place with its 'Canadian Pickers' decor (they filmed an episode here, doncha know) and love the Banana Split smoothie. Pro tip: it's huge and the restaurant will happily split it into two glasses for a more appropriate kiddie size portion. True to their brew pub origins, the beer menu is extensive. You can stick with the big name bottled stuff if you must, but I recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and trying one of their own beers, brewed on-site. If you want to come without the kiddies, they have a pub side too... We're rarely without ours so we haven't ventured over there YET. Anyone know a good sitter? read more

Coming here is like watching cute kitten video's on youtube...you can't help but be happy. We love bringing guests here and we like coming here by ourselves. The drive is picturesque and the building is fantastic. Each time we spot new antiques or quirky decor. The menu is diverse and tasty. Hubby loves the BBQ Burger. I often get the fajita's or pasta with salads. They have their own brewing company here. First, ask to try the samples. You will receive a small flight of complimentary beers and will get to have a little taste of each. You are sure to find a favorite! Then order one of their wonderful concoctions. If you fall in love, purchase some to take home at the on-site store. Look for the hanging truck and the keys in the table tops. I will leave the rest for you to discover for yourselves....there are still oodles of 'treasures' to find! Great fun for the kidlets! The prices are comparable to chain restaurants but the experience is richer. The staff has always been great to deal with! read more

Typically I would give a place like Mission Springs Pub a 3.5-4 Star Rating. The food is usually really good and the beers have always been nice and cold. However, this place for me, gets 5 Stars simply because of the service we get. Typically, on the nights we make it in to the Springs, we are fortunate to have either Candace or Ally taking care of us. These two ladies are always on top of things, reliable, pleasant and attentive. In fact they treat us more like good friends than customers. I complain about everything, so believe me when I say, as long as Candace and/or Ally are working at Mission Springs, I will continue to bring my business in there. Menu keeps changing, getting smaller and more expensive. Go there periodically because it's nearby, but today went and asked to sub chicken on the Hawaiian burger ($17) and was told it would be about $5 extra. When I clarified what kind of chicken, it was a pressed & fried patty. I laughed, and we went somewhere else. Beer is hit and miss, sometimes it's great, sometimes it's flat and bitter. This is a great place to bring the family or go watch the game and drink beers with the gang. You may ask how is it possible to mix these two groups? Well half of this massive building is a restaurant and the other side a pub. Just remember on a hockey night get to there early if you want a seat. If you are out with the family and feel like you need a drink when you get home you can always pick up something from the cold beer and wine store which is also located under the same big roof. The Mission Springs Brewing Company makes their own beers and sell bottles of their magic elixir on the premises. If I could I would give the beer alone a 5 star rating. Kudos to the brewmaster he is a man of unusual talent. The food at the restaurant and pub is generally pretty basic fare. Not great and not bad. Good sized portions at a decent price. The pizza is worth a try. They have exposed beams and ceilings high enough you could easily fit a sail boat in. As I mentioned the space is absolutely massive yet somehow it feels cozy. This is likely due to the fact the walls, beams, and ceiling are all covered in historic memorabilia one can sit and stare at for hours. read more

I'm drooling as I write this review. The memories of all of the amazing dishes I've enjoyed here... The Baked Greek Wrap is the best wrap I've ever had. It was suuuuper duper hot so be careful but it was to die for. So cheesy and creamy and chickeny... ugh so good!! Also, if you happen to catch them on the menu make sure you try the stuffed yorkshires! I dream of these at night. They are utter perfection! I havent had a bad dish at this pub so if you're up for some eating, make sure this is the place. If you're up for some drinking, even better! This pub runs it's own microbrewery and has some amazing local craft beers to check out. Always take a good look at the beer menu and choose wisely. This pub/restaurant may be a long way for people from Metro Vancouver to come to but it is worth it! Friends that lived out in the mission area took me here years ago for the first time. Let me say I was sold even back then before I had a real taste for Microbrew! More recently I have been in the area and been able to stop in for a bite and a pint. They have regular beer and one seasonal. Currently The beer lineup is as follows: Big Chief Cream Ale, Bombshell Blonde Ale, Fat Guy Oatmeal Stout, Olde Sailors IPA and the Brewers Black and Tan. I would personally pick between the Bombshell or the Olde Sailors IPA but that is personal preference. You can do a taster pack of all their brews here as well which can be a fun experience. They have a good sized menu as well with all the standard pub fair that people have come to expect including burgers, wraps, fish and chips, pizza, steaks, salads yada yada yada. The food tastes great and the prices are great to match. For example all the burgers are priced between $10 and $12. Find yourself a designated driver and get your but out here! Just a reminder if its game night get here early as parking for your car and your but will be hard to come by. ---------------------Warning------------------- Also do not be stupid and drink and drive its bad and there is also a Police Station right across the street. Really very disappointed...again. I was so intrigued by their southern inspired menu that replaced the ubiquitous choices you where saddled with in menus past. I thought...wow, someone is willing to draw outside the lines that this little red neck town has outlined. This breath of fresh air turned out to be fleeting. I didn't take them long to change it back up to a menu that truly rivals their past failings. Loved the shrimp and grits, loved the smoked wings. I went back and ordered wings. They fell from being truly some of the best wings you could get, to being much akin to eating your grandfathers leather sandles (after profuse amounts of deep frying). The owner of this place must have had a stroke, that knocked out the flavour centre of his brain. I might be back for a beer but I won't risk the food. read more

We went for a fathers day brunch buffet this morning. Brunch buffets happen to be one of my favorite meals, so I was pretty excited to try this one out. We were very happy to find that children were allowed as they have a restaurant side were minors are ok. So me, my wife, 10 & 7 year old headed out on the 35 min drive from Port Coquitlam. First the decor is very cool, myself & my kids enjoyed looking around and discovering all the unique items. Even for a busy fathers day the hostess got us in quickly and they were very freindly. The buffet was typical brunch pub style. I thought it was as good as any of the others Ive been to, maybe slightly less offerings than some others but the quality was good and they had some unique dishes that others dont-like spicy thai chicken bites, or enchiladas. Our omeletts were stuffed with toppings, waffles were great, the desserts were fresh & tasty. Service was great- my water & coffee was always full and our empty plates were cleared quickly. Would definately go again, with or without the kids. Would like to give their menu a try for dinner or lunch. read more

The best part about this bar is the bartender Brian. This guy is one of the best bartenders that I have ever had and was the only reason that my wife and I ever went to this pub. Very attentive, friendly and always has a great sense of humour. If the management was smart, they would get Brian to train other bartenders. My wife and I don't go to the Springs anymore as Brian is not there during the evenings anymore. In addition, when we have gone to the restaurant, the service was terrible every time after giving them numerous chances.
