We have carried out from here twice in the past two weeks... once for a group of 12 and the second for a group of six. Both times our food was ready on time and was delicious!! We did the catering party packs and had the pulled pork, pulled chicken, chopped brisket and sliced brisket. All were moist and so good! This was my first time in and they hit five stars with no doubt. The staff was super friendly and the food came up in a timely manner. I had the lean brisket combo. The meat was excellent the mac n cheese, fries and cornbread were as well. Nice large portions too. Also of note, this place was clean, unlike some other bbq places I've stopped going to. So good! But catch this - I try to order the chopped brisket sandwich and the guy says "would you like to try it first, some of our customers don't like it" so I do, and it's awesome! I proceed with that sandwich, and impressed that they suggested I do a taste test before purchasing. What a nice touch. I was so impressed I forgot to order a side! Oh well, I will be back. Also, was confused at first at the National Anthem played at high noon, didn't know what to do, then realized, duh, stand and pay due respect! Also a nice touch. I've got my favorite style of BBQ which is hard to find in Michigan so this place has 7 varieties of sauces to match whatever style you like. Sides were good. I will say the potato salad was good but not my personal favorite. Mac and cheese was delish. Someone else picked up a side order I'd placed and the restaurant gave me a dessert for my troubles.... it was no trouble and the dessert was really good. Yum yum yum! Big fan! Food is great. Everything is pre-cooked so there isn't really any waiting. Flavors are delicious. The rub they use is a bit spicy but I like the spice. The sides are delicious too. I would highly recommend. read more

Cool concept, great decor and delicious BBQ choices. The brisket was incredible. I also had the pulled chicken but could not finish all of it. I even tried a couple ribs which were very tender and fell off the bone. They provide at least 6 different BBQ sauces to put on your choices. Looking forward to returning. read more

I recently had Mission BBQ cater a business lunch for 30 customers. Pat was very helpful in taking my catering order with short notice. Pat also ended up delivering the order. The food was great. Everyone raved about how good it was. For most, I think it was the first time eating Mission BBQ because they only opened in June. read more

Ask for the Alabama White sauce (mayo, horseradish and cayenne) it is behind the counter. Will is the manager and was very couteous and out talking with people. Got the chopped beef brisket and two sides as a good way to test my first visit. Sides were fine but the brisket was very dry and tough and a little on the salty side, even being bathed in BBQ sauce. Corn bread was also drier than a sponge. I figured this place would at least be close to Dickey's or Billy Sims which aren't exactly high end either but much more flavorful. The varying reviews of this place seems to indicate they need to dial in some quality standards. Much better meals can be had around town for the money. Giving it two stars for being a decent atmosphere. Most likely won't be back. read more

After reading the reviews, we decided to try this place the other night. We each got pulled pork--hubby got the sandwich & I got the meat market, which came with cornbread. We both loved the meat & it was fun mixing sauces to see what we liked. However, the cornbread was rather dry. Next time I'll just get the pork sandwich and skip the bun, as the meat market portion was a bit too large for me, but very tasty! Our sides of BBQ beans, cole slaw, and macaroni & cheese were yummy, too. I didn't see the mashed sweet potato side until after I was eating, so I guess I'll just have to go back! LOL! A woman who probably was the shift manager came by and gave us a complimentary apple cobbler dessert, while inviting us to return. I ate a couple bites and was totally stuffed! This place has good pulled pork sandwiches. The table has about 6 different BBQ sauces you can try. Missing a hot sauce though. The ribs were dry and not the best we've tried. Fries were a little over cooked. Mac and cheese was tasty. All in all, pretty decent food. Love that they support the Troops!!! read more

This place is great. I love the decor and the meaning behind the restaurant. The food was very very good, I had the pulled pork with fries. I liked the options for BBQ sauces that were on the table as well. You're going to pretty much pay $10 for lunch anywhere around that area so I consider this a great value. read more

The food was amazing - the customer service was outstanding! We enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, pulled chicken and ribs. I would recommend the mac n cheese for a side and the bread pudding for dessert - seriously good food. They just opened and u wanted to give it a try...I will not be going back. Somethings were alright but must of the items were well below par. Brisket (moist) - no crust or any smoke color. Pretty mush it was bland roasted brisket. Pulled Chicken - not bad but not a reason to return Pulled Pork - dry and horrible, just bad Mac and Cheese - ok nothing special If you want real bbq and not the Quodaba version of bbq there are much better options. read more

We really enjoyed the first trip. The meals were well priced and the food great. It was a little loud in the dining room so were were shouting when talking with each other. The condiment station with its novel tool box ended up creating traffic jams. Since then we've back back several times and the staff generally recognizes us. Many of the issues from that first visit have been addressed and the noise level has improved. At this point it's rare we don't stop in at least once during the week for a tasty and filling meal. read more

This place is amazing. I had the pulled pork sandwich North Carolina style (coleslaw on top) and it was so good. 6 different sauces to choose from, each of them good for a different reason.
