It's okay. TL;DR: If you need a quick fix with a single color, this is your place - but, it's not for design or the very picky customer. I saw a "chrome design" on their reviews and wanted the same, just with "Christmas colors" (red, gold, green). The artist who did the design I originally saw did my nails; and while I was hopeful as he did a lovely job on my shape and fill, the execution of the chrome color was sub par at best. My "Christmas Colors" nails are Camo colored and brown. Now, I understand that *some* of that problem comes from the process. However, after he started the first few nails and they were clearly NOT red, but brown, I stopped him & asked him to fix that. Unfortunately, his best efforts to change color were half hearted. Also, I left the salon with more color and gel on my skin than on my nails. When I pointed this out too, he used cuticle cutters on my skin and didn't even get all of it. See the pics. read more

I've been getting my nails done here for the past year or so. I decided to change salons after frequenting another salon for years. This salon does a great job with pedicures and manicures. I usually get a manicure and the silver package for the pedicure. which includes a sea salt scrub or a paraffin wax treatment. All the workers are very pleasant and friendly and take safety precautions. They are thorough and do a great job with the sea salt scrub treatment in particular. You can check in at the front and indicate what type of treatment you are interested in receiving. I recommend calling in advance for an appointment especially if you have a particular staff in mind, but typically I just walk in. If they are busy, you may need to wait for a bit. read more

By far the best pedicure I have ever had. My girlfriend had been there before and she nailed it for a place with excellent service. The woman was very precise with how she took care of my toes. After it was over, she gave my feet an insane massage that I basically never turned out the shiatsu machine on the chair. I sat there and enjoyed it. It was the first time I ever had my feet massaged and am thrilled to one day go back when the time calls for it. The man who took care of my woman's nails did a great job too. First of all, as a traveler its very hard to find the same service you are accustomed to. I called and mentioned I needed someone who is Very good at pedicures because of my painful ingrown toe nails. In the past, the owners from different locations not here just give me whomever and do not care. Miss Nails gave me Tammy who is amazing!! She caused me no pain while fixing my issue yet it could be me being desensitized now. Anyway, upon arriving I was greeted with a smile and the ladies were nice to me. I had a lovely experience at Miss nails. I had a manicure and my first ever pedicure. My manicure has lasted just over three weeks! unfortunately that wasn't the same for my pedicure, only half an hour after my trip to the salon the gel on my pinky toe had fallen off. It wasn't noticeable due to it being on my pinky toe, so I didn't think it was worth a trip back to the salon to get it fixed. They are so clever so the atmosphere was calming and safe feeling. I got a gel manicure, regular pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. I've never had such a horrible experience like I did at Miss Nails! One of the nail techs yelled at me and squeezed the s*** out my my hand! I came in for a fill. It was my third time there. I shouldn't have given this place more than one try. The last two times a male did my nails. He was very friendly but did a mediocre job. This time a lady supposedly named "Lang" Did my nails. I say supposedly because nobody wanted to tell me her name. She made countless mistakes. When I politely asked her to fix them each time, her attitude grew worse. I had enough when I saw she was doing a half ass job painting my nails. I said I wanted someone else to finish the job then she started yelling at me in front of everybody. Horrible service. The girl in front was on her phone and eating when I walked in and would not look up at me even when I said "hi" until she was done looking at her phone. Not a single customer. It took 30 mins for ONE NAIL FIX. Over charged after saying a certain amount and then gave attitude. I leave And the nail completely smears. Best service ever and so rare to find these days!!! So glad that I decided to use them they were honestly the best and unlike any other place that I ever went to. They were fair honest and really took the time to give me the best colors for my nails. They even were able to do a pedicure at the same time and I'm so grateful that they were able to do that because sometimes it's very hard to find a place that will do both at the same time. The prices are great and the nail technicians does a great and thorough job, especially with my pedicures. With the shut down of so many nail shops, I have had a problem finding a comfortable one. Read: the price is reasonable, professional attitude and excellent work! Miss Nails has received recent Daily Breeze of Torrance, CA "South Bay's" Best Awards, a coveted prize. So I thought I'd try them. Kenny, the owner did a great job! He didn't make issues about my nails but finished me in record time! He told me to select a;polish, later warned it would be an extra charge, a clear coat instead! I thought polish was part of the service! Here's what bothered me more. I gave him a credit card for the charge. He accepted it, then told me it didn't work. I was amazed! After a second try, I agreed to use it as a debit card! This caused me to make it a priority to verify the card with my bank. No problem with the card! While my nails were drying I noticed a typed message tacked up to a wall, but not visible from the entrance. It stated the preference for cash and said there would be an extra charge for using credit. I wish Kenny had told me he didn't want to use a credit card instead of saying it didn't work! He could have waived the credit fee for first time customers and informed me of the policy for cash next visit. This behavior can be an indication of marginal ethics, an increasing and disturbing practice in today's world, especially in business! read more

I wasn't going to write this review as I came here once before and loved the service. This time around, I was back for the second time to get a manicure and pedicure. If I remember correctly, Henry was the one that helped me out. Another young lady did my pedi which I am happy with. Henry made me bleed, didn't apologize or bother to clean it up and then painted over my nail like nothing happened. I didn't really catch it until he started pressing down on my nail to stop the bleeding. I should have said something when it happened but I felt a little embarrassed to speak up as I didn't want his boss to yell at him or who knows what else. So I let it be. As soon as the woman was done with my pedicure, she basically put on those cheap little sandals for me and said "Okay thank you!" They didn't even wait a minute for my pedi to dry. It wasn't even closing time. I had my appointment at 5:30pm and they finished with me at exactly 5:55pm. I knew they were kicking me out so I just got up and left. I understand if they had more customers but there were only 2 other women. It's Day 4 today and as I am typing up my assignment, I realized that the paint from my left middle finger came off? I don't know how or when. I just thought it was very absurd. Definitely not worth the $46 (included tip). Will not be coming back and I would say go elsewhere. read more

UPDATE! The salon has definitely up-ed the ante.. they have nice spa chairs and have thrown in extras like hot towels in their pedicure treatments. They also have different price ranges for pedicures ranging from $18-$38 if you want to add a hot stone or parrafin treatment. The big news is their gel nails. Instead of the UV light to cure the gel color they have the LED LIGHT (if you haven't done research on this .... believe it, it's better to have the LED light instead of exposing yourself unnecessarily to UV) AND it's even a faster process since LED is only 30 seconds!! KUDOS to Miss Nails for upgrading and offering this now!! (I'm told by the manager that the LED light machine is 4x more expensive than the UV light, which is why most salons don't carry it) read more

I've been going to Miss Nails for 2 years now. I live in Long Beach but I love my nail lady, Meila so the drive is worth the service I receive. My feet are very ticklish and I was apprehensive about getting a pedicure. No problem getting gel manicures done by Meila. Always happy and she's a perfectionist. But the feet came much later and she assured me it would be fine. I have had several pedicures from her since her encouragement and she's the only one I trust to work on my feet. I get gel mani/pedis and am never disappointed. There are many colors to choose from. There are other ladies in there that can do excellent work too. I see many happy people leave the salon pleased with the final look. Everyone that works there are very friendly. The salon is always clean and never smells like over powering chemicals.
