My wife and daughter went in to grab a gift card for her teacher for Christmas. My son and I gave it 10 mins and walked to the door to meet my wife an daughter to go to the Mexican restaurant next door. It was 6:03 and the lady in her late 50s stood back from the door and yelled with her mask on that they were closed. My 3 year old and I waited outside in the cold wet 45 degree weather as my wife stood at the counter to check out. After 2 minutes I pulled on the door again at which point I told the lady I'm fine with staying outside, but my 3 year old (by 2 weeks) needed to go inside to get out of the cold. When my wife came to the door, I expressed my aggravation with my interaction and my wife said they went to her and her friend (another customer who happened to be there) at about 5:58 and said they were closing and they needed to check out. My wife's friend simply put her stuff down and walked out. I told my wife she should have done the same. To further the aggravation, my 8 year old tried to pay for a small tube of lotion and the cashier in her 20s asked if she was going to pay for the lotion. My daughter said yes and she asked what was the first thing she needed to do when paying for the lotion. My wife and daughter looked at her puzzled and she stated my daughter needed to unfold the bill. Whoever you had working on December 16, 2020 at closing needs a few lessons on customer service and manners. Good gracious...I hope you don't expect us back. And I hope you expect us to relay your lack of care and concern as you inch closer to working 2 minutes past 6pm. You are a small business in a tough covid economy...come on now, really?? read more

The product lines and displays are beautiful. The appearance of the store is very inviting; however, the customer service is less than desirable. I have been in the store a total of 3 times. During these visits I was never offered help with finding an item, despite unoccupied sales associates on the floor. On my last visit, I approached the counter to pick up a custom order. No one else was present in line. A young lady stood there folding items and another was on the phone. A good two minutes passed before the associate folding clothes stopped to inquire if I needed help in flat tone. This in itself it not that bad; however, combined with my prior experiences, it was the last straw. Had I not prepaid for the order I would have walked out of the door. In summary, my recommendation is to shop elsewhere. read more

I bought a costume necklace there while in town visiting my mother. I was in a hurry and didn't notice the posted "return policy " which allows no refund . Later that day, I noticed a flaw in the necklace . It appeared a stone was missing . I returned it, explained the flaw, and was told I would have to purchase something else vs a refund . I told them when merchandise is defective, a full refund was appropriate . The clerk would not budge, so I picked out another necklace(not many choices in costume jewelry ) I again expressed my displeasure and told the clerk a refund was in order . She could have really cared less , so I warned the guy behind me to check out his purchase carefully !! Then would you believe , I put on the second necklace I had purchased as I had an event to attend and the pendant on the 2nd necklace FELL OFF!! In under 5 minutes, the 2nd necklace fell apart!! I went to a party and told a lady about the experience and noticed she has on a necklace from the same store. It was priced at 38.00 at Ms Dottie's! The lady informed me she had actually purchased the necklace for 4.00 at Ace Hardware! Buyer Beware! read more

I have never been to the Gray store. I have been a regular at the Kathleen store since they opened. The owners are wonderful caring people and most of their staff is great. Just do not deal with anyone at the pandora counter unless you are sure they know what they are doing. A young lady informed me that pandora only makes one size necklace which is not true and then continued to try to sell me what she wanted even though I told her I was not interested in any rose gold. So I asked for any of the gift sets that are out and she promptly told me they didn't have any gift sets, while the sales lady next to her was showing other customers the gift sets they had. The sales lady was not interested in trying to sell me anything after I refused to look at the line of rose gold jewelry. I couldn't get in with the other associate as she had a line of people waiting to get assistance with her after hearing my conversation. Most of the younger generation I have dealt with at their jobs have no desire to properly do a job and that will eventually cause the decline of many businesses, especially the local owned businesses. To the owners of Miss Dotties, I have posted this review on several sites so you could be aware. I have spoken with the owner before about problems with this store. But I'm just going to take my business elsewhere. I know that won't close your doors and I don't want that to happen. I'm just done dealing with the young girls that get hired because of their looks. read more

Customers BE AWARE! This business easily takes your money without any form of communication about their return policy. If I had known that only store credit would be offered then I would not have spent all the money I did. They pressure sell you into purchasing their products. One employee Beth Davis actually told me on one occasion that if I got home and decided to return one of the necklaces I could ship it back and she would give me a refund, not mentioning anything about it being on store credit. She also automatically charged me for their keychain reward which I never agreed to. The owner Leigh Skinner came in and basically refused to refund my money and only offered store credit initially. She also initially said she would give me back my money for the keychain. However, she later went against her own word and her own return policy and refused to offer the store credit or the money back for the keychain. They basically were running me out of their store! I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere for the same products they have that you can just about find anywhere! They lied about their return policy which shows this is a crooked business! read more
