Nusha - World Cup finals at Nusha was amazing

Nusha brought a refreshing change to nights out in Cambridge, its trendy style gives you a sheer…read moresense of pleasure just sipping your cocktail and listening to the cool R&B the DJ is dishing out. Talking about cocktail, Nusha is one place that makes cocktail especially for you; all you have to do is tell the experienced staff what taste you want. The wide range of cocktail choice was very impressive, from spirits to liquor and some names that are not even familiar. I sat on one of the stylish block chairs as I watched the staff shake, mix and twist as he made fine cocktails. There were other classic cocktail on the menu such as mai tais, Moscow mules, New York, adios attitude adjuster each having a touch if mixed spirits to give it its unique character. However, I was not in an adventurous mood, so I stuck to my simple mix of Smirnoff Vodka, midori and Caribbean to make it exciting and for just £4.00 a glass. The best part of Nusha has to be the décor, the retro style, square tables, large mirrors, plasma TV so that you can watch the music video as you listen to it. They also have subtle lighting that adds sexiness to the atmosphere, and well stocked bar. I was however not impressed with the female toilet, as it was a little unkempt compared to the bar itself, but the mirrors were large enough to see myself full length. The convenient location makes it stand out; it is close to restaurants, ten-pin bowling and the cinema, so you can chill out before going for a movie or after a meal. Moreover, the chill out atmosphere makes it a place to be on a cool night out.

They had a huge variety of songs on the list and I am sure there is something for everyone and each level.

Oh my goodness! I can't believe no-one has reviewed the epic Karaoke Epoc yet!!…read more When I was a student, I was never completely convinced that this place existed. I had vague drunken memories of stumbling into a manga shop and finding a mini-Japan style Karaoke box...I must have been here quite a few times with different groups of Japanese friends. However I could never find it again when I was sober. *blushes* Karaoke Epoc is hidden at the back of Adanami Shobo (the Japanese Manga/ book shop on Brewer street.) If you have never been there before, it can be a teeny bit tricky to find...look out for a 'De-lux Cleaning' sign to find the shop. This is one of the least posh karaoke places in London. The decor is a little old/scabby looking...but it is also brilliant! I'll tell you why: - We booked the huuuge room downstairs, and had more than enough room for all 16 of us. There was even enough room for us to dance around the table as well!! - They have teeny 4-6 people rooms upstairs if you have a smaller group. - There was a fridge in the corner, so we brought drinks and kept them cool in there. - The remote control is like a mini computer...you can search by song title or by artist. Ask for help if you can't read Japanese. - There is a decent Japanese/Korean/Chinese selection of songs as well as all the old English favorites. Oooh and a whole page of disney songs!! (^^) - It is really cheap, especially if you go early and have a large group of singing friends. Last night I paid £11 for three hours. I'm not the only on that loves this place!! Make sure you book in advance as it is nearly always booked up.

This is definitely the best karaoke in central London. I loved the simple set out rooms, that they…read morehave a digital book to select songs and also a paper one, the music quality and that the songs had awesome cheesy video instead of just a boring blue background, that you bring your own food and drink, and, bonus, a competitive price. When I come to London I always like doing karaoke with my friends, this now the only place I want to do it at. P.s. If you need to get some booze when you're there, go out of the front door and go left down the street, take the first right and there's a shop just there.

Robin Hood & Little John is one of my favourite pubs for many reasons; one of them is not because of the name however much I like Robin Hood movie. I like going to Robin Hood & Little John because it caters for everyone's need i.e. from family outing to friends' night out. If you have been to Cambridge, then you will know that parking is a big problem for drivers, they large car park, which settles that problem for customers. They also have a nice patio where you can have your drink in cool summer evenings. I have not tasted their beer, as I do not drink beer but they have good wine. The food is not exceptionally great, but it does fill a hungry stomach for a few pounds. If you are looking for a good traditional Sunday roast, the pub provides one at a price of £7.95 for adults and £4.45 for small potion. The welcoming atmosphere makes it unique and a place to relax while having a drink. Mind you it is not all peace and quiet, you do get some very noisy days especially during karaoke nights. It is a great place for family outing and having parties as they have a good space for parties and events.

As a result in can often be tricky getting around. The Robin Hood is one of the larger pubs in the Cherry Hinton area and an ideal spot to drop off your car if you're planning a bit of a crawl. The crowd is always locals but pretty friendly, and there are a few benches out the back for summer time.
