Tonight was my first time here and we will definitely be back. EJ was our chef and Erin was our server and they were both so kind and friendly. Everyone working there is wearing masks and they are sitting people enough distance away from each other which is nice. I was so excited when I saw they had calimari as an option for habachi because I love that and almost no where I've been has that. The prices were pretty standard for habachi. We had some cocktails while we waited for our hibachi. Drinks were okay typically I feel like the scorpion bowl isn't as strong as it was but food was amazing. i've been coming here for years and the past 3 times I've been here for hibachi, it has been disappointing. i thought maybe it was the guy cooking that day and i gave them 2 more tries. the food hasn't been good, the cooks rush everything and it hasn't been like before. they haven't been putting in the same effort, they put the rice and noodles on the grill & put it on your plate like 2 minutes after. the food hasn't had good flavor.. they normally put a good amount of salt and pepper, sauce & garlic etc. & the portions of the food has been absurd. for the price of $30 hibachi it's always a full plate of food that i can have leftovers to take home & eat later. today was officially my last day giving them my money. this place is going down hill. so embarrassing. read more

My sense is their sushi Chefs are very very good. My only complaint is the waitress was not very responsive. And when it was time to leave, she was nowhere to be found. Fun, fun, fun! teeny door around the backside leads into a HUGE restaurant with a large bar section, tables, and then the hibachi tables in the back. A standard hibachi show. Our friendly chef definitely fed off of our energy and so we had a really great time! It was a lot of fun too that we got the chef from the banner photo. We had scallops, shrimp, steak, filet mignon - all cooked correctly. We really liked that we got both fried rice and lo main without having to ask or an extra charge and the lo mein was just right (not too sweet). The restaurant is beautiful and our reservation and dinner with 9 people went off without a single problem. We were even able to get 9 separate checks without an attitude or a side eye from the waitress. I had the crab Rangoon appetizer and it was delicious. I drank a blue voodoo something (I forgot the name) but it went down nice and smooth. On this occasion, we started w/a couple drinks, a Popcorn Lobster roll & Spicy crab roll. I got the Guavatini, which was delicious. The lobster sushi roll was one of the best i've had, & was presented beautifully, however; the spicy crab wasn't extremely memorable for me. I got shrimp & filet hibachi for my entree, which was yummy & I felt the portions were great for the price. I much prefer the filet to the steak here. Our family had reservations for Hibachi for 6:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were told by the hostess that 3 tables were in process of paying and that we would be the 1st to be seated once a table opened up. After 10 minutes of waiting, the manager marched another group right past and seated them at one of the tables that opened up. After another 5 minutes of waiting, the same manager marched another group right past us and seated them even though we were next 15 mintues earlier. At that point, I spoke with both the hostess and the manager and guess what - they told us "we would be next". At that point we had enough and promptly LEFT Misimi. The manager can disregards reservations all he wants. He will not have our business again. Happy ending - we went up the road to Little Barn, we're promptly seated without a reservation, had a GREAT meal and FANATASTIC service. Strongly recommend Little Barn if ypu are not interested in getting stiffed on your reservation at Misimi. read more

I've always loved this restaurant for their food but after my experience last night I will not be returning. The wait for hibachi was 45 minutes so I decided to sit at a table instead. I proceeded to order the hibachi food I intended on getting. It was terrible, everything was soggy and way over cooked. One meal was a filet medium rare and it came out burnt with way too much liquid on the dish. I also don't recommend the calamari as it was so over cooked and way past chewy. I was so disappointed, I spent over $100 for food that was not freshly prepared. Please don't come if you're looking for freshly cooked food. read more

I was eating in the restaurant today when a young lady came in and asked the hostess to speak to the owner about printing her menus for her. The owner came out yelling at her to get out of her restaurant audibly and angrily, in front of customers and pointing at the door. I was SHOCKED that she would treat someone that way who was simply doing a job. I couldn't believe how rude and disrespectful she was.
