The baguettes and French bread are not very French except for shape. The dough is more like American bread. With so many wealthy folks that probably have been to France moving into the area I suggest Rosaures make an effort to be real French

I was there today, and the hamburger buns were so flat, I thought two of them were the top and bottom half! They didn't rise at all! Then, when looking at the cookies, the ginger cookies had no icing on them at all, but used to have a big puddle on top. And the M&M cookies had the same fate as the hamburger buns---flat! There doesn't seem to be much quality control going on, and someone has either got the recipe wrong or the oven temps aren't right. The bakery used to be a real highlight of the store, but now it's just sad. It was at one time my main draw, but no more; Safeway's cookies look much better. Also---one more point, it would be nice if Rosaur's could provide diced veggies, such as onions, celery, peppers. They are a great help to people who work, as they save so much prep time. (Both Albertson's and Safeway have them.) Sadly looks like I may need to switch markets.

**November 2025: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more My mom and I were looking for some local Montana gifts and food and saw the huge Co-op building on a drive down Main Street. The parking lot is kind of small, but we were able to find a spot to squeeze into on our visit. When you enter the building you'll see an impressive self-serve section and I noticed quite a few people loading up their plates or to go boxes. There's an island of ingredients to make your own salad and a couple of home made soups, and another area for hot items. My mom and I decided to share a squash soup, a small salad, and an assortment of hot items including South Carolina pulled pork, mac n cheese, biscuits and gravy, and mashed potatoes. I also decided to try a local kombucha which was really refreshing. We grabbed our utensils close to the exit and headed upstairs to enjoy our food. After we devoured everything we perused the main floor and bought a lot of Montana based goodies including teas, Bequet caramels, soaps, and skincare products. Suffice to say I spent quite a bit of money here, but I'm happy to support local and be able to share the Montana spirit with my family and friends! I'd say Community Food Co-op is kind of like a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, but with a great emphasis on sustainability and local goods. Price range is $$-$$$ range depending on the items.

Well, truthfully, who likes grocery shopping? I mean, probably no one. It's a never ending chore,…read moreit's just the prelude to having to then do a ton of storing and prepping, and you pay money for the privilege. So my shopping goal is to go in to the store, find everything I need - easily - , pay, and leave. Not at this Safeway. Let me first say that the employees were helpful, considerate, and available in every department. That is the one plus and earns 2 stars; The store appeared clean so 1 more star. That's it. This shopping experience was exhausting. Example: I wanted roasted sunflower seeds for my salads. I looked first in the nuts aisle - not really expecting to find them there, but it was on my way. No seeds. Then on to produce, abd , having some experience, looked on the shelves under the produce bins because they are sometimes displayed there. I kept walking, and finally, on the back of a display near the beer cooler, there were huge bags of the seeds available - but no price or signage. This one task just took too long. In addition, their organic fruit selection was paltry. No blueberries, strawberries, or any kind of berry that was organic. I found apples and oranges.
