One year already since I've last received this place?!? That's crazy. 1 year later and I'm still consistently coming here because this salon, in simpler words, ROCKS!!! My hair stylist, Dakota, is everything and more. She's patient, easy to talk to, hard working, and she's literally a wizard at hair. I've never loved my hair more than when I started going to her. She feels like a friend doing my hair at this point. We've done blonde, pink, and red. She's amazing at every single hair color, but if you want to do a fun color, I even more highly recommend her! The staff here in general is just so welcoming and I always feel taken care of. They still have great pricing and it's always worth every penny. The salon is consistently clean and cute, too. Don't waste your money. I initially asked for dark roots with platinum blonde hair. Valerie was the first stylist to work on my hair. The first time she charged me $450 and left my hair yellow with a brown patch on the yellow part. Came in 2 weeks later to get a touch up, hair treatment and my ends cut. Left the salon with brown, uneven layered hair. My hair is now about 5-6 inches shorter. Talked to her boss and came in a week later to get my hair fixed. Got my hair done by Kim now. Well, now my hair is orange, brown, and yellow & damaged & short. THANKS A LOT. JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. And can't get my hair fixed till 1-2 months . And it STILL won't be platinum. Fuck this place. Seriously. I will never go back & I will tell everyone I know about this place & how they fucked me up. read more

I went here for two years before moving out of state. Kate Santi was the absolute BEST! She always understood exactly what I wanted and she's extremely accommodating to my crazy schedule. i have been going here for a long time, and firstly would like to say their is very inconsistent service. no matter if I am remaining with the same stylist or switching due to the poor job I recived, my hair has never once looked the same. in addition to this, i paied 93 dollers to get my hair curled, just to come home to have to wash it out due to how dented it was. my hair after this had far more extreme amounts of breakage, and now have to deal with an even further amount of hair damage(i have photos as well) I used to love this salon but now its obvious they take advatge of their customers and their prices. and by no means am I saying this our of anger, just very disappointed with the large decline in service this past year read more

I went here in the hopes of getting blonde hair, and purple highlights on my roots . When I left 6 hours later!! My whole head was purple, this color is awful and I want to scream! Love that I've found this place! Destiny is really great at what she does! I've been looking for a salon in the burbs and it's taken me a few hair stylists to find a good one. It's so refreshing now that I've found Destiny, she is knowledgeable and listens to what you want. I really wanted to love my hair and make this my new salon I must say everyone is very nice But unfortunately it didn't work out I even let them do a redo First went in for a tapered layers instead got a really high short BOB where it's long in the front never would I ever get that haircut, did not want or was even close to what I showed in the pic I understand we different hair textures can't have certain haircuts but give options, so had to cut real short I asked to leave a long sideburns do not shave or give me that straight razor sideburn and that's exactly what I got lol I guess short hair is just not something many salons can get right on a women Everyone has long soft fine layered hair cuts I guess anything beyond that is not possible read more

I saw Jessica, Mt Prospect location. My sister recommended her. Jessica took care of a few gray roots and overall color. I was concerned about the color being a bit darker then what I expected. She was perfect. Told me to call her if I am discontent and she will take care of it. That made me feel much better. Needless to say, I love it. It is perfect. It was a good hair cut in short amount of time but I asked for a specific length and she definitely fit it shorter than what I asked for. I had Lauren who I was seeing for the first time. First time at salon too. It was nice an empty since it was early on a Saturday. Everyone was friendly and again hair cut is nice, just not what I asked for. I'm a mom of a 4 month old so I really need to be able to put my hair back and unfortunately it's hard to do that now at this length. read more

Des is amazing. I had a seriously grown out balayage and needed to get some more blonde in my hair. I showed Des a picture of what I wanted and I could not be any happier with the results. She did babylights on me, which is something I had never really known about before coming to her. She is very knowledgeable in her field and was able to answer any and all questions I asked about the process since I was genuinely curious about it. She was even able to notice what technique a previous stylist used to cut my hair and she evened it out for me. She talked to me about products I use in my hair and even gave recommendations. Overall, she's very intelligent and her work shows her knowledge of her field. The salon is super cute & I love the atmosphere! I've been seeing Destiny since December of 2016 and haven't seen anyone else for my hair ever since! I trust her 110% with my hair and she knows what she's doing. Des does a kick ass job at what she does. I show her pictures of what I want done to my hair, and she does exactly that. so i had a very bad experience at misano. i went there to get a haircut and i specifically mentioned what i want but the hairdresser kept on forcing her opinion on me and gave me a very bad haircut which i don't like at all . she was trying to convince me all along that it is looking good but when in reality it was looking awful . i will never go back . had such a bad experience .and i have to live with a bad haircut for few months until i can get it fixed. read more

Visited this new salon in Mount Prospect just yesterday. Hillary cut my hair and did a great job! She really listed to what i said I wanted, and executed it with skill. Her 11 years of experience really showed. The salon is nicely decorated, and clean. Hil and receptionist were very friendly, and as one of their new clients gave me a cute little bag with samples and coupons. I'll definitely go back! If you go, tell em I sent ya. just wanted to layout the fact some not cool experience during the covid. I called in the morning and scheduled for afternoon. Walked in around 4. and reception said the person I scheduled with is running behind schedule and reception will call me in 10 to 15 min when it's ready for me and because COVID, you can't wait in the store so I left. ( I had a thoughts in my mind, wish they could called in advance to tell me but is Covid time, it's fine). I twisted my thumbs until 4:35 ( they close at 5pm), and I decided to give them a call since haven't hear back. Reception was hesitant to answer my question and just said the lady is still running behind schedule then she asked if they could reschedule me to Tuesday morning with insincere apology. To be honest I would be happy to reschedule if they called me instead of I waited and called them to learn my appointment pretty much got canceled. NOT cool! read more

I had my first color with Des Pye last month and the color still looks amazing!!! First experience doing balayage or whatever the cool kids call it and she perfectly captured what I was envisioning. I had an appointment with Jessica yesterday for a cut and color and I'm always nervous when seeing someone new for a cut and color but Jessica made me feel so comfortable! I told her my hair concerns and the way I wanted my hair cut and she was very understanding and listened! Other salons I have been to have argued with me saying how I should cut my hair, not Jessica! She knew exactly what I meant and was on board. We discussed the color I wanted and she even told me if it was more red than I wanted to let her know and she would have no problem fixing it. The best part, well one of the best parts was she offered that with concern and compassion. I love that! There wasn't that awkward conversation you sometimes get at a salon, she was very friendly and we had great conversation and laughs! She wasn't pushy with products which I love! She gave me a sample of a pureology shampoo and conditioner that was for my hair type. I could go on but I think I've rambled enough! The interior is so nice and Jessica is wonderful!
