I bought 4 huge pivot doors (7ft x 5ft each) from MirrorWorks about 10 years ago. They have worked perfectly except one door hangs up about an inch when closing, but only sometimes. I dug up the receipt and called the MirrorWorks main number hoping they were still in business, and they were. I left a voice mail (it was afterhours) and was happy to get a callback the next morning. That day, I received a second call for one of their managers, explained the issue and he coordinated a tech visit the next couple of days. The team arrived on time, assessed the problem which was not simple because it required door balancing and some re-assembly, and, when their work was completed in about 90 minutes, the door was once again working perfectly, just as the other doors had for over a decade. When it wasn't closing all the way, it could be hours before someone would notice the patio door was slightly ajar and we were cooling the outdoors. Anyway, I don't write a lot of these reviews, but I thought people should know how professional and polite all these Mirrorworks folks were. Should my future needs call for their products or expertise, I'll call them first. read more

As a designer, I get the chance to work with tons of diff subcontractors throughout every field. My experience EVERY TIME with mirror works has been THE ABSOLUTE WORST in OVER A DECADE. First, there is a thing called customer service... the person who answers the business' phones is usually your "first impression".... she is the most terrible first impression I've ever encountered. Her boss' must have some relation because this company does NOT take accountability for poor craftsmanship. They over charge. The guy who does the bids is LAZY and RUDE. Hands down. Terrible company. Use roadrunner, or Grand Canyon glass. Just stay away from this half ass company. They do not stand behind their work. Example: a "floating mirror" is sitting on wood backing behind it thats drilled into the drywall... this costs a lot more money. They even charge to paint the edges black. THEN, they install instead of using anchors so that it can be removed when you tell them you're going to put electrical for led accent lighting.... they go ahead and GLUE THE THING TO THE BOARD. the WHOLE THING. A CAN OR BUCKET of glue. So, when I needed to do electrical it came apart in shattered pieces. This is my personal home I speak of.. cant imagine if it were a client. They wouldn't care anyways. Somehow the front desk girl with horrible manners thinks she's the expert and "mirrors aren't supposed to be removed"...... At their prices they should be able to be. read more

Everyone here was great until I got to the Female employee in billing. The job actually went great, they did a beautiful job, but when I called to settle my bill Allyson A. said she would just run the balance on the charge I used to pay the deposit. I did not want it on a personal charge but rather a business account. I explained this to her and she told me she would get back to me regarding the balance. Over the next few days I did not hear from her and when I checked my charge statement she had gone ahead and run it on my personal accountant. I called to ask for an invoice and express my frustration. . I did not receive an apology until I called back but it was an I am sorry but I am the only person here and I do the best that I can. She was unconcerned and more intent on letting me know that she is overworked. She was indignant until she hung up. read more

FANTASTIC business and staff...Where do I begin, I have a house that's about 8 years old, the first time I used Mirror Works was to replace the handle on my sliding door. Paul was able to find a replacement handle for me and got it to me pronto. Fast forward 2 years later to last week. I had the lever to my patio door lock break and lo and behold, when I contacted Paul he once again took care of me. I sent him a picture of the broken lever, he ordered the part and got it to me right away. He had Brad come out when he was in the area and installed it in less than 5 mins, even thought the part was minimal, because I was a repeat customer, they even did the install for free. Dealing with businesses now-a-days, they don't often think about the repeat business, referrals etc, it's all about the profit and big ticket items. I'm 'paying it forward' for Paul and Brad for taking the time to help me. I will be referring many people their way by starting out with this rating and sharing it in Facebook. We'd be lost without these guys! First, a golf ball struck our sliding back wall of glass and yep, these guys came to the rescue! Fast and perfect. Next, we wanted to mirror one wall of our dining room to make the most of the views. Not only did they do a fantastic job, they discovered on measuring that one wall was 1/4" different than the other side which the other company we had quote the job did not even notice! They had to make adjustments to account for this and now it looks beautiful and symmetrical. Top quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. The installers are professional and prompt. The company installed a glass barn door which has a big design defect. The company knows how to fix it, but refuses to do it unless I pay the cost. I complained to BBB. The company has refused to respond to BBB's query. The company installed a glass barn door for my house. Upon the completion of the door installation, we noticed that its design has a serious defect: the sliding doors of the barn door use the sliding tracks of each other as bumpers to stop the sliding doors, which can cause the tracks being damaged easily due to the heavy weight of the doors. We complained to the company about this issue immediately. They later installed an extra bumper and promised us it would work. However it turned out the bumper was damaged soon. When I visited their office about the issue last month, the guy who installed the bumper said he knew the bumper does not work, they should install a soft-close mechanism instead. A few days later, Kirk Whearty who handled my complain, informed me that they would get it done. However they installed a similar bumper as the last one instead of the soft-close mechanism. To make it worse, the new bumper does not exactly match the last one, so they had to drill new holes right beside the original holes, making the new bumper more vulnerable to be broken. When I asked Kirk to install the soft-close mechanisms, he asked me to pay for the soft-close mechanism claiming the design defect is from their vendor. Given that it is this company's decision to order this product from their vendor, they should be held responsible for the services they provided. I don't understand why I should pay for their poor judgement. read more

Poor service with manipulative pricing. Requested service to fix some of the glass doors which were installed several years ago at a price of $30,000 along with many windows. In order to get them to come back they have hourly pricing. Doesn't sound bad until they automatically send two people and have one person work for 10 minutes and sit in the truck for the rest of the time the other person is working. That creates an automatic two hours of work for 45 minutes of accomplishments. So you automatically get billed for two hours even if the entire project could be accomplished by one person in 30 minutes. Look around for better options. read more

The home we moved into had a wine cellar with an iron gate but no glass (to keep the room at the proper temp). We contacted several contractors and iron door companies but were unable to find someone to add glass to the gate. When someone referred us to Mirror Works, we weren't too hopeful, but they were able to do the work beautifully. They also made a few other adjustments so the door would be properly sealed and it looks and functions perfectly! Paul and Lenny were great to work with. If we need any additional glass work done in the future, we will contact them. I would recommend them highly! read more

Had Mirror come out and install beautiful shower door. A few years later hinges are coming off. Have tried to get them to come out for a month. Excuse is that they have no work in the area . They have contract work that is more important than previous customers. Seems like they just take the money on the initial job and blow you off later when needed. I have been a builder developer for 20 years and built 100.s of homes and had many subs. They wouldn't be one of mine after this. Wouldn't even think about having these guys come out , if they cant even do some follow up. The people were very rude and just basically told me to find someone else if I could wait another few weeks. Really? Looks like Im not the only one who feels this way!
