I was able to attend two practices with Tammy. The first thing I thought when I pulled up was what a beautiful location they have for their studio! A historic old building surrounded by lush green lawns is the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful practice. Once inside, the scents of candles and essential oils instantly have a calming effect preparing any yogi for a great practice. Tammy was great! I am not very yoga savvy and she was so patient and helpful. Heading Om provides mats and props and each session is only 13 dollars! It's a great price for a great practice. If I ever find myself in Peoria again, I'll be "Heading Om."

Practicing there has completely entranced me with yoga for the great mental and physical benefits. Not to mention the wonderful staff and the great atmosphere. Classes are small so you get plenty of hands on instruction and all props and mats are provided. All you need to bring is yourself. During my pregnancy, Tammy always gave me variations to make practice more comfortable and safe which really meant a lot to me. Now they have prenatal yoga classes available too! They also offer Thai yoga but I haven't done one of those yet. The teachers are very warm and welcoming and you can tell that they love what they do.

I booked an Ayurvedic consultation and took two classes in the following week. The Ayurvedic consultation was so informative and insightful. I could tell how well educated and passionate Tara is. She had never met me before and was eerily correct on so many points. I wish I had time for a couple more sessions. The two classes were great also. There is an instant connection, sense of community, and complete lack of judgement. Tara is an intuitive teacher and guide who senses what you need and are able to do or not able to do.
