I spoke with Elmira (owner), and she was able to schedule me two days later. Elmira is A-MAZ-ING!! She does an excellent job listening to and assessing client needs. Her touch is firm, but gentle. Elmira worked out my knots without leaving me sore -- a true indicator of a great therapist! The numbness in my hands is also gone and strength has returned to my right arm. Elmira incorporated CBD oil (non-psychoactive Cannabidiol for anti-inflammation and pain relief) and Blue Tansy oil (for anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antifungal properties) in my treatment. I purchased a bottle of CBD a week prior in Oregon, but I didn't have the time to research and try it. The products Elmira sells have a higher concentration of CBD per ml. I was glad my first experience with CBD was with Elmira, since she is extremely knowledgeable. The CBD tincture I also tried enhanced my visual perception and mental clarity for several hours after my treatment. CBD didn't impair any of my faculties. I'll definitely schedule future treatments next time I am in town. My parents also indicated they want to start attending MIRASPA -- this will be their first massages in 80-something years. The fact that l've referred my parents (and they're eager), says a lot! DETAILS: * Location = 4 stars MIRASPA is conveniently set right off of East Washington St, prior to the Route 8 intersection. I just wish MIRASPA was closer to where I live. :) * Environment = 5 stars MIRASPA is located in a house that was built in 1908 and tastefully covered to a therapeutic practice. It is warm and inviting with early 20th century charm. * Equipment = 5+ stars Elmira's massage tables are the most comfortable I've encountered. I literally can't possibly go into enough detail to accurately describe this horrendous experience, but I'll try. When I arrived, I inquired about pricing, chose a 60 minute full body massage, but asked to use a bathroom first. On the way back to the bathroom they led me to, I passed the first, open massage room and saw that an employee was in there sleeping on the massage table. The bathroom looked like a janitor's closet and I had to maneuver through their kitchen area in the back where they were prepping lunch. Much to my dismay, I was then led BACK to that first room where the employee HAD been sleeping for my massage. As I waited for the therapist to leave so I could undress, she demanded payment up front, but said "you tip later". I told her a few times that this was extremely unusual, but the massive language barrier kept us from communicating. I paid, just wanting to get on with things. As the massage started and throughout the first half hour, the female therapist literally rubbed the EXACT SAME spots on my back, grabbing big handfuls of muscle and skin with every rub (think of a muscly 10 year old boy trying to give you a massage). It's my guess this "therapist" never went to school or was licensed for massage therapy. After half an hour, she abruptly left the room, letting the door bang shut behind her and leaving me to wonder what had happened. Just as I figured she wasn't coming back, she returned with hot, damp towels and rubbed me down (the only nice part of this whole experience). She proceeded to have me flip over, all the while I was covered with the tiniest massage towel I've ever seen. It's always been my experience that therapists are professionally conscious of your nudity under the covers and do the best to help you remain covered. She couldn't have cared less. The massage was cut 10 minutes short and she ended the massage by having me sit up as she clapped on my shoulders and back and then FLIPPED ON THE LIGHTS, after I'd laid in a dark room for 50 minutes. I hurriedly dressed and got out of there as quickly as possible. I really can't adequately describe how awful this experience was. Please save your time and money folks.

Didnt introduce herself. The room was dark with a lamp with a red light . She never asked where my areas were that I needed attention, just went to work. She was way too rough. She walked out the room and never told she was leaving. They didn't use a timer so I got shorted my time. Then had the nerve to ask for a tip after. The worse place ever! Do not go there. It is a waste of money. I wish I could give a negative score!

I originally went in for relief from back discomfort. After a neck adjustment, I developed severe cluster headaches and ongoing nerve issues in my neck/shoulder area that still affect me years later. My neck and shoulders have remained prone to irritation and reinjury. At the time, I went back and told them I was having severe issues after the adjustment. I remember being very uncomfortable with the idea of another neck adjustment, but my neck was adjusted again anyway, and I was sent on my way. I never pursued it formally, and I regret that. But based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone against allowing neck/head adjustments here. I felt like my concerns were not taken seriously, and I personally would never go back.

Mary did great work on my skin, but when she put my mask on, she just went and sat at her desk for 10 minutes.
