I've been wanting to go to Miranda's Bakery for the longest time and I was so glad that I was able to check it out! I was amazed by all of the different breads and pastries that they carry in the display. I got some conchas, cream filled pastries, flan, and a strawberry cream desserts. The prices of the pastries and desserts were also unbeatable! I specifically wanted to get the shareable mil hojas cake slice that also make, but it was all gone by the time we arrived in the late afternoon. The crew member mentioned that they usually have it in the morning time until they run out. I might make an order or reservation next time for the mil hojas cake to make sure I get it! My first time here! I understand this is a new location for them and it's bright, clean, wide-open, with lots of maneuvering space in front of the pastry display cases - because you're gonna need it to scope out the seemingly endless variety of pan dulce! Get a tray and a set of tongs at the cash register counter and try, just try, to only pick out a couple of items - I don't think it's possible! I took my friend's 10-year-old daughter there for a special treat and told her she could pick out 2 things. We finally made up our minds (we ended up with 6 different items between us :) ) and after paying for our treats, we went to the front of the store where we could sit down to eat them. The service from the employees was friendly and fast - no complaints here! - and at 10 in the morning, the pastries are super fresh; in fact, several more trays of yummy-looking pastries were brought out while we were trying to make up our minds. I've read some reviews here that indicate less than adequate service and products but I'm hoping that all has changed since they've moved to this new location. I'll definitely be going back because there are about a bazillion different things I want to try :D read more

I really like their bread but they are bad about having bread in stock. You come in and half of the stuff is empty already. There's hours before closing and it looks like there's nobody baking more. It's up to them whether they make money and all but it's really disappointing when you show up around 6 and the whole place is cleaned out (I'm usually not that unlucky with that place but it's ridiculous maybe they were short staffed that day) And they don't speak English. Maybe one or two of them do but the rest don't, which is fine for me because I know enough to know how much money I'm spending. I don't blame them for this since they don't speak English but my uncle called them once and they hung up on him To summarize the service is bad if not mediocre (depending on if you understand Spanish it might be better) and the bread is good but you have to go at the right time or there won't be bread. Miranda's pastries are so good. And their mil hojas (thousands sheets) Wow! It's no wonder it's their signature pastry and why other bakeries have made their own version of it. But believe me, the original won't let you down. I love coming here every time I'm in the area. I even take some when I travel (TSA will want a bite). Aside from their specialty cakes, they also have lots of bread bread to choose from to go with your coffee or hot chocolate. It'll be great to see how their business evolves and becomes the perfect hybrid of coffee shop/bakery. They definitely have the space for it. Their business is super clean and staff friendly. When you navigate to their business be aware that your maps may take you to their old location a few blocks away which is now another bakery (seems like Google and Apple Maps need to update). Aug 31,2019, I entered the new location around 9:10-9:15 strictly to get 3 chocoflans. Got home 10 minutes later only to find that one of the chocoflans to have mold on it. I was disgusted by it so I went back to Miranda's to let a worker there know. When I told her about it, she told me it was impossible because they had made it that morning. Pretty much calling me a liar. So I stared at her and told her that that's how I got it. She went to talk to another coworker. They were whispering between each other, (pretty damn loud by the way) and I overheard one ask the other if it was from yesterday, to which she agreed got a different chocoflan which I checked before taking. First visit? We walked out because we'd been wanting sprinkle doughnuts and maple bars and didn't realize Miranda's was the wrong kind of bakery for those things. Countless visits at both the old and new locations in the 7+ years since? We're huge fans of the tasty, affordable treats we get there! We love to load up on a variety of items, then cut them into thirds or fourths when we get home for a big sampling party. We've all discovered our personal favorites over the years, but it's still fun to try new treats and share them with friends. As for the language barrier some reviews have mentioned, I know about five words in Spanish and get by just fine. Just grab some tongs and fill a tray! If you really need a question answered, there's always someone around who can help. If all else fails, I suppose you could bust out your phone and use Google Translate. I am the epitome of a gringo... but I'm a gringo that can appreciate delicious food. This place has that. Apparently a panaderia is a Mexican bakery. Apparently the food is delicious. Apparently I am going to come here a LOT. We are Woodburn residents of 2 years and find ourselves at Miranda's more and more. My advice? Grab a tray and some tongs and don't be too picky. I have never seen 80% of the items in the case. I've pretty much tried everything at this point and I haven't disliked anything yet. I haven't noticed problems with the employees having a bad attitude as mentioned in other reviews.. We did try Don Pan less than 1/4 mile away also.
