What used to be a coffee joint has turned into a second expanded location for this charming cheesecake store front. The main location is in Albany. This Canby location is run by a Christian family and the mother's online biography is very moving. Typically when I come in, what I can only guess are the kids run the cashier. They were very accommodating with my free birthday slice and another time called me to confirm a scheduled order and thank me for my patronage. I specifically got the raspberry white chocolate and the key lime. Both had wonderful classic flavor profiles, excellent creaminess, and a good ratio between the filling and the crust. If i ever decide to eat in, the vibe is definitely very cute and charming with inspirational signs everywhere. They also serve their cheesecake slices on mix and match China. So adorable! Will be a repeat customer for sure!

    Salted Caramel Cheesecake

Ordered for the first time, and I was not disappointed! The salted caramel cheesecake was the best cheesecake I have ever had. I will make this a regular stop on the way to the beach. The service was exceptional as well! I highly recommend!

Everything about this cheesecake was perfect. Absolutely Devine. Cute shop located on Canby just off Hwy 99. $9 a slice and it's the best in town. Open t-Saturdays 10-6 or 7pm. The BEST service too. Run.... Don't walk!

Beloved Cheesecakes helped me win "Babysitter of the Year" this week when my niece and I visited for an impromptu tea party. In all actuality, we only called it a tea party to sound fancy. We were there for dessert... and lots of it. I mean, what else is a babysitter to do at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday? That no-man's land between lunch and dinner can be tricky. (Yes, yes... I know I'm a bad influence) I'm very impressed with the family atmosphere at Beloved. We were greeted at the front door and the owner helped me navigate the entrance with my stroller. The service was prompt, and the staff checked in with us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. A+ service without a doubt! The standout item on their menu, according to my five year old niece, is the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake. Cheesecake can be a little heavy at times, and some bakers tend to go overboard with decadent ingredients. However, both the kiddo and I were transported by our perfectly creamy slice of cake with an appropriate balance of flavors. The crust wasn't too thick and made each bite perfectly balanced with a delicate crunch. If you're in Silverton looking for a cup of coffee and some delicious dessert, Beloved Cheesecake won't disappoint.

Everyone in B's Bake Shoppe was friendly and greeted me with kindness, and a smile. They were extremely willing to ensure I felt welcome, even when flopping my latte order around as my eyes scanned over a delicious sounding special! My iced latte was delicious. I love trying new flavor combinations and the honey cardamon is a win. It has the sweetness, but a stronger bitter taste. This hit the spot for the day. The chocolate fudge brownie is RICH. It's creamy, dense, and tasty! 2 bits is all I could manage, and would definitely share this with friends/family when I bring them with me. The London Fog Macaroon tasted as though it had been in a freezer or fridge open air. It was subtle, but there. As a dessert I don't regularly have I can't say exactly if I'm just not understanding the flavor. I also found this one more crunchy than others that I've had. Past macaroons have been light and fluffy, but somewhat brittle. These were more dense, and crumbled under the first bite. The Turkey Pesto BLT tastes delicious! The greens overwhelmed the flavor at first, and as a personal preference could do with a little less L. But, it is a bLt, so I asked for lettuce ! Overall a delicious sandwich! I'll be excited to share this little local spot with family and friends in the near future.

When I first arrived, I poked my head inside and interrupted a very busy ice-creamer behind the counter to make sure I wasn't waiting for something they didn't offer - he said yes, they had dairy-free ice cream and I went back outside to wait in line properly. Even though it seemed to be a relatively short line, I stood outside for probably 15 minutes before getting inside the door, where the wait was just about as long. Once I got to the counter and asked about the dairy-free options, the young woman said they had dairy-free vanilla that they could add any of the "mix-ins" into (at an additional cost, of course). I asked for a small scoop in a cup with walnuts added in. (The machine that does the mixing is quite the contraption - ice cream and walnuts go in and ice cream with pulverized walnuts comes out. Fascinating!) The staff was helpful and friendly but they probably could use more than a couple of people behind the counter, especially on a warm holiday weekend day as summer is approaching. There are outside tables for nice days and inside tables for weather-y days. There were no trash containers outside, though, so I took my trash back to my car, rather than make my way back through the inside and outside lines of people to get to the inside trash container. Napkins are available inside but not outside so grab a handful before heading outside to your table. This 4-star rating is because I think there's potential here for a great ice cream place. However, on this visit, the dairy-free ice cream was just okay, nothing special, and the walnuts had seen better days but were still edible. Until they come up with more dairy-free options, I probably won't go back but if you're not lactose-intolerant like me, there are some yummy sounding flavors of ice cream that you could enjoy, with or without mix-ins.

They make fresh waffle cones in house. Prices are decent. My biggest qualm, from the one time I went with my friend and kids, was that we waited outside for over half an hour before we got past the front door. Once inside, it was another 15 minutes. Service was incredibly slow. One worker was soloing the scoops and cashier. The other worker was barely keeping up with making the waffle cones. It was very discouraging since this was supposed to be a quick stop. Solely because of this I am worried how service will be during the peaks times of summer.

The smallish parking lot was almost full when I arrived a little after 2pm, but most people were shopping for shortbread in the shop section. They have an impressive range of different types and flavors of shortbread on offer here. Reservations are required for afternoon tea, and I would recommend calling as opposed to filling out the email form on the website. I walked in to the cozy tearoom and was quickly seated. The room was cozy and the table set with items from Britain. Additionally, they had nice holiday decorations out, which lent a festive air. Service was very friendly, and we never felt neglected, even when the shop was busy. While I waited for my tea companions, I perused the tea selection. Lots of options, from fruity herbals to traditional black teas. My family soon arrived and our tea orders were taken. I went traditional in my selection of PG Tips (a British black tea blend). Each person received their own teapot, with cozy. The teapots stayed hot the entire time, which was nice. We had sugar cubes and milk to add if so desired. Everyone seemed happy with their tea selection, my niece even finished her teapot of blueberry tea. The tea tower of food came out soon after our teas. The sandwich/savory tier had both cucumber and roast beef sandwiches, along with sausage rolls. All were hearty and delicious, and the bread was soft and fresh, not dried out. A tangy mustard sauce complemented the sausage rolls nicely. Then there were three large scones, one plain and one cranberry. These were served with butter, strawberry jam and cream. The top tier consisted of fruit along with lemon curd, chocolate mousse and cream tarts, each with a shortbread base. All delicious and perfectly sized. Their was more than enough food for us, and I ended up taking quite a bit of the scones and savories home with me. The sweets were the biggest hits with my niece. After the tier was removed and boxed up, one more treat was served. It was a delicious combination of chocolate, whipped cream and a brownie base. It earned a thumbs up from my niece. I grabbed a couple shortbread treats for later on my way out. They were all rich and flavorful, as were the leftovers from the tea itself. This was a wonderful holiday treat, and a friendly and tasty introduction to afternoon tea for my niece. I will be back for some more shortbread and another afternoon tea with friends and family. Highly recommended.
