They come in the morning 7 days a week for two hours and twice a day on the weekends for a total of 4 hours. I love to hear him giggle and talk about how much he loves when they come see him. I wish I had known about their services sooner. But we were hesitant to bring anyone in. I stopped using them until my mom passed away and began using them again for my father months later when his health declined. I very quickly became concerned about the personal information that was being shared between my father and the young woman who was the age of his grandkids. There was something odd about the relationship. I requested that the company change her out for someone else and explained why, but they INCREASED her hours without me knowing. Then the caregiver used a throw rug from the bathroom floor as a shower mat resulting in a horrible accident for my father. I was unaware that the caregiver had no experience administering showers, or that she was told by the assisted living facility that she should not be trying to shower him by herself, it was a two-person job. I live three hours from my father and in hindsight should have thrown her out the minute I had that creepy intuition. My father spent six months in a hospital healing after his fall. I still deal with the mental effects of both the fall and the "relationship" issues.

Then on two occasions didn't even bother calling or showing up to work when scheduled at all. Very unprofessional and unreliable. In addition, false advertisement. They advertise they cook, clean, transport, personal care and WHATEVER IS NEEDED. I had to make the last a point since it is the biggest false advertisement. They could not prepare a simple meal, I was handed soup to prepare myself to cook, when I needed transportation to the hospital, they couldn't take me YET the complete opposite occurs when another client needs to be taken to the hospital. It appears, these ladies seem to put others needs over yours and don't care if your a paying customer too, your NOT equal important to them. AND they don't respect your agreement, schedule or time. They don't take COVID precautions and show up to your home sick and un masked. When I complained about their unreliability and inequitable treatment, they were quick to excuse themselves from their services, showing they don't value you as A customer. Overall, I highly do not recommend, nor would I ever use their services again.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND either place! The nurses do not return phone calls or update you on your family's conditions! They did not let me know of my mother's decline and acted as if 20 minutes was too much time for her family to figure out what to do with her body. Then, when the family wants answers, as to the sudden passing, they give you NONE! SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN! As an RN I would never let someone die alone because I was too lazy to notify the family! Last, their grief chapels are a joke! No one should call someone and TELL them how they should handle the loss of a parent! You should be ashamed of yourself for letting my mother die with her family at her bedside!

At the ENT clinic we had to sign an agreement that its a hospital service and a physician service and a hospital service will be charged. There will be a charge and a copay for both. I'd like to downgrade the review from two stars to zero stars, what is noted in the first section, doctor Ford is still a good provider. Unfortunately, the front office was an exercise in futility to be generous. We were unable to schedule the follow-up visit and were told to call back in a month. Then we tried to schedule to get hearing AIDS. They gave us a printed sheet of paper to call somebody else, and they started commenting about insurance that isn't ours, and finally realized they weren't even looking at the correct account. They were looking at somebody else's chart entirely. Obviously more annoyed than embarrassed at their incompetence, at that point they just tried to do everything they could to get us out of the office as fast as possible instead of taking care of us. I am not even angry. I'm appalled. How can a health care provider? They just said they were going to double charge and double co pay then say we just don't want your money. Go away. We're too incompetent to take care of you. I think they need to have their hearing checked. They said you may have to pay it out-of-pocket and then I said i'm aware of that. I'll pay it in cash $100 bills if necessary. So why in the hell couldn't they schedule it.

Mercenary: Two charges and two copays for a (not at the hospital) visit to see one provider for one service. Maybe its legal, but its certainly morally ambiguous. Poor Training: Unable to schedule follow up visit at time of current visit. Have to call back in a month. More Poor Training: Tried to schedule a different service and was handed a number to call somebody else for an insurance company we don't even have. Then I realized they were looking at somebody else's account. Instead of apologizing and trying to get things straight they just seemed to want to get us out of the office as fast as possible. Saying they would check with our insurance and call us. It's not covered by the insurance I was willing to pay out of pocket, but they never even let it get to that point. My mom needs hearing aids. I'm willing to pay in cash with $100 bills if need be, but Onvida's ENT clinic on Avenue B just wanted to get rid of us. Generally, Dr Patrick Ford is a great provider there, but he could stand to know a little more about the other directly related services within the clinic. I'd give Dr Ford 4 stars, but Onvida as an organization would get just 1. Given that the cost of Onvida (a community non-profit medical organization) is among the most expensive in the country, my experience today taking my mom to see the doctor was very disappointing. I went with my mom today with every intent of doing whatever was necessary to get her hearing aids going, and left feeling like Onvida doesn't want our business at any price. It was pretty terrible.

Aponi Home Health Team was a disappointment to us in a time of great need. My father's condition…read morehad deteriorated to the point that we needed full time care. My mother is also disabled. I as the daughter am the only family member able to help. I met with Aponi on Christmas Eve. I was promised a caretaker to come that evening for an overnight shift. I was very grateful since I was aware it was a holiday. I was called an hour later to be told that noone could come but that they could guarantee me someone the following night. Keep in mind we were needing 24/7 care which they advertise as providing. An hour before the appointed time I was called to be told the scheduled person had an emergency and would not be coming. This is after I had been without sleep for 48 hours. Unacceptable. People get sick and die every day even on holidays. If you are in this business you should be professional enough to be staffed for all needs for the community, and to make promises to a family with needs and then let them down makes me doubt their commitment to their business. I've read other reviews along the same lines.

We used this service last winter for our 91 year old mom, living alone. We were most dissatisfied…read morebecause, the caregivers were almost never on time. Several times they never showed up at all. If I hadn't been close by, mom wouldn't have had her shower and readied for bed. One of the caregivers, we actually had to have removed, she was always late, she ate mom's food and just helped herself. She even layed down and took naps. We would not recommend this service, unless you are able to check in on them yourself.
