Horrible! Overpriced and unprofessional. I went for a facial . It lasted 15 minutes , then a " facial massage" for another 15 from the aesthetician , who had extremely long acrylic nails with crystals that scratched me . All of this for $175 + tip ( I felt bad for her) . No joke $200 . I then relayed this to owner who could care less. Do not go here if you are getting a haircut. I was looking for a cheaper option for a haircut, so I went here. The experience felt cheap. When I walked in I was the only person in the salon... now I understand why. She didn't ask me many questions about what I wanted to do with my hair. I told her the length and showed her photos of what I wanted. I also told her I wanted long layers and to have my hair thinned. When she was thinning my hair it felt like she was just chopping off random pieces. Now the main issue I had with this haircut was the layers. More of my hair is shorter than long. She did not even make an attempt to blend the layers... While the cut looked good when styled, I have wavy hair and do not want to blow my hair out everyday just to make my hair look decent. Once I showered and let my hair dry naturally I realized just how terrible the layers were. Even my sweet roommate admitted the layers looked bad... Going to an actual salon to get it fixed and will have to pay even more money. read more

Got my hair cut today by Angelica. I requested a curtain bangs and face-framing layers while keeping the length in my hair (lower back). She did it exactly like the pictures I showed her. I get really nervous cutting my hair but she did an amazingly perfect job. Definitely recommend Angelica for haircuts. Also the Spa is very nice and clean inside so I felt safe. read more

Went to MiraMed for the first time back in January- (thought I already reviewed them!) They were amazing! Took a friend w me and sent another friend there a few days later. The nurse who did our work had it turn out exactly how we wanted it. I couldn't have been happier! Just realized I didn't do my review when looking them up to schedule another appt! So I have come here a few times now based on the recommendation from my lovely neighbor, Linda. I am very very OCD with my hair but I felt such ease with the hairdresser, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed immediately. Now this is a full service salon, literally they have: -massages -waxing bar -mani/pedi stations -and a slew of hairdresser stations the friendly staff will keep me coming back. This is the only place in town I go to get my hair done and I always see Heather. I have curly hair aka unruly hair so sometimes it is hard to find a hairstylist that is confident in cutting it. I also chemically treat my hair regularly and it takes some problem solving to get my hair just right. She does an awesome conditioning/restructuring treatment called Olaplex - which I have never heard of - and in spite of my chemical treatments, my hair actually looks better than ever. Don't miss it! Such a disappointment. I was initially so excited to have a spot where I could get laser treatments, facials, etc. right in my backyard. The ladies providing services have always been so kind and awesome. However, I have always had issues with scheduling (showing up at my appointment time and being told it's going to be an hour later), or just cancelling my appointment the day of. But the kicker was that I signed up for a membership upon my very first visit. When I signed up, the woman running the front desk and the owner seemed confused about what they were offering, but they settled on a monthly discounted price as long as I committed to a year of services. Fast forward 11 months and I get two calls and a text in the late evening before I have an appointment the next day telling me I'm going to owe a balance. Even after showing my bank records, the woman texting me was arguing that I was wrong. They literally charged me the day before, and I have bank records to prove. Super agitating, super unprofessional. I will never go here again, and I would warn you to make sure you audio record and take lots of pictures of your membership terms before signing up. read more

Great staff, service and quality of work. Candice helped me right at the time of my appointment and took care of my haircut within about 30 minutes. She was very friendly and did a great job. Price is a bit high for a man's haircut, but you'll pay the same or more in other places where they won't even shampoo your hair or assist you on the scheduled appointment time. read more

I am a guy, so I'm not very used to the salon experience, but Alex made things smooth and easy. I went to Salon Mirame in September last year after winning a gift certificate for a facial and haircut; I had never been here before. I started with the facial, which was sooooo calming and amazing. Madison (Knox) did such a nice job with natural products, soft calming pressure on my face and targeted all of my trouble zones. I can't remember which facial it was but I'm sure it was a standard facial since it was a GC. Nonetheless, she made the experience very special and did an amazing job. I'm super picky about product on my face and people touching it, but I would definitely see Madison again! I also got an awesome haircut and style from Tracy (blonde hair). I'm usually pretty picky about my hair as well but she gave me the perfect cut for my long hair that framed my face really well. I gave a coupon to my colleague as well for Tracy to cut and color her hair and the result was beautiful! I loved it and so did my friend. I've been going to very upscale salons in Montecito for decades. A friend suggested I try Lizzie at Salon Mirame in Carpinteria. I've gone three times for a cut and highlights, and I couldn't be happier with her attention to quality and detail, and her professionalism is excellent. She is confident, yet with a keen sense of making certain that I was happy with her ideas and services. Lizzie always reminds me to call her if something doesn't seem right, and needs a tweak. I thought facials were for ladies only, until my girlfriend brought me here. Salons can be intimidating for a man, but the Ambiance at this salon was just perfect. Such a relaxing environment coupled with marvelous customer service. Alex was so meticulous with the facial and had such positive energy. She took care of my ingrown hair painlessly. I left with a very clean feel on my face and a much much relaxed neck after the smooth neck massage to go along with the facial. Even to date, I'm yet to see a blackhead on my face. I can't speak to the quality of their services because there is no way I would go here. I walked in today to ask a question about hair & makeup (for my upcoming wedding). When I first walked in, neither of the women asked if they could help me so I asked if I could get some info on prices. The two ladies working there just looked gruffly at me and then at each other...waiting for the other to reply. Finally I got a snippity "here's a price sheet." Every subsequent question I asked was either answered rudely or they would just roll their eyes. It seemed like they didn't even want my business. I first went here after purchasing their Groupon--even though my Groupon was for a cut and partial highlights, Lizzie was happy to work with me and do a single process with a cut ( and we even did a couple little peekaboo highlights). The cut and color were both great, and Lizzie was really concerned that i was happy with the results, asking me plenty of times if the color was right, even sending me outside into the sun with a mirror, and if the cut was what i wanted, or if it should be shorter here or there. My hair looks great, and i got lots of compliments. I will be returning soon! read more
