I told him I didn't know his name. I was left to sit and wait. After the fact, when I investigated further and approached person again in waiting room, I found out he had an appointment schedule with patient names. He chose not to communicate this with me Or communicate that he was a provider. Might be a nice person, but very frustrating experience for someone who worked in customer service for 40 years. When calling appt line back to reschedule, woman asked for reason to cancel and argued with me the entire phone conversation. Main argument was "they don't know my face." Needs training on receiving complaints.

I purchased my PHONAK Hearing Aids just over 2 yrs ago, when living in Las Vegas, NV. I have,…read moresince, moved from Vegas to Boise, ID. My $4,000.00 Hearing Aids suddenly stopped transmitting sound about 6 weeks ago. Batteries fully charged, NOTHING!!!! I've called several hearing aid offices in Boise and NOBODY will touch them, since they were not purchased in Boise. I can find no online reference for anyone in Boise that represents this Company. It's dawning on me that I would have to fly back to Vegas, with an appointment to see the rep at my original point of purchase. At my own expense, no less, for airfare, hotel, rental car, food etc. This is an INTERNATIONAL CO!!!! I am in complete disbelief that $4,000.00 worth of equipment, and a 3 yr warranty, are worthless now that I have left Vegas. I am angry, and in shock, since this purchase was "out of pocket" and considered a Major Purchase that would take me through the last of my SENIOR years. I'm devastated that this Company does not support it's customers and would never recommend the PHONAK brand to anyone, anywhere, EVER!!!! PS, The Phonak devices NEVER approached the life changing hearing quality that the sales rep had led me to expect with the PHONAK brand... A huge FAIL all around...

PHONAK IGNORES CUSTOMERS' CONCERNS Phonak hearing aids are…read morenot worth a tiny fraction of their exorbitant price. Their sound and intelligibility are dreadful. To make matters worse, their management people don't even have the professionalism, integrity and civility to reply when you try to contact them about these issues. I paid over $2,000 for Phonak hearing aids. I could have achieved the same results with $20 hearing aids. Without hearing aids, speech sounds quiet and unintelligible. With my Phonak hearing aids, speech sounds loud and unintelligible. I paid $2,000 to hear unintelligible speech louder. I also paid $2,000 to hear headache-inducing terrible sound quality (details below). And all the attempts at "adjustments" by audiologists and Phonak agents have failed dismally. After four years of Phonak agents and audiologists stringing me along with "adjustment" attempts, I wrote about my hearing aids' issues in letters to six of Phonak's management, including the CEO, Cathy Jones, in the hope that a Phonak tech expert with IN-DEPTH knowledge would contact me to try to rectify the issues. But no one at Phonak has had the common decency to reply. One of the other people I wrote to is Denver Davis, who has the job title "Customer Service Specialty Manager." Think about it - here is a customer service manager who refuses to respond to customers' concerns. This is certainly an intriguing concept in human resources - employing someone to not do their job. I wonder if Phonak employs a billing manager who refuses to bill customers? Somehow I doubt it. This ploy of not replying to the concerns of a paying customer (especially after they have paid so much money) is crude, crass and cheap - and incredibly cynical, revealing total contempt for customers. This is the absolute pits in terms of professional and ethical standards of conduct. EVADING ACCOUNTABILITY Their motive for not replying to my concerns is obvious. It is to evade accountability and responsibility. The same motive is behind the use of the same lame tactic by business owners and managers who find themselves in the news for committing transgressions. How many times have we heard reporters state that these businesspeople in the news "did not respond to our request for comment." We all know WHY they "did not respond!" There is no legitimate excuse for not replying. If those individuals at Phonak's management felt they could not help me, they could have replied, "Sorry, we can't help you." If they thought I had contacted the wrong individuals, they could have replied, "You contacted the wrong individuals," and referred me to the correct individual, instead of just crassly ignoring me. In fact, all excuses for not replying are, like the two examples I just cited, statements that should go in replies! HOLE-IN-THE-WALL BAR I might expect letters to be ignored by a hole-in-the-wall bar owner, with mob connections, on the bad side of town, but not by the management of an international tech company. This flagrantly callous practice of not replying reveals as much professionalism as not showing up for a job interview, as much moral integrity as standing up a date, as much maturity as a teenager "ghosting" their boyfriend/girlfriend, and as much class as you see in the conduct of the aforementioned hole-in-the-wall bar owners. To put it bluntly, ignoring communications from individuals is quite simply ignorant. It's no coincidence that the word ignore is the root of the word ignorant. What a pitiful state of affairs - today's business managers are so lacking in initiative that the most imaginative strategy they can come up with for evading accountability is the worn-out, predictable, dull-witted, crass, crude ploy of ignoring complaints and investigations, in the hope that they will go away. PHONAK HEARING AIDS' DREADFUL SOUND QUALITY Now I will explain the reason for my complaint to Phonak, by recounting my experience with their substandard (but expensive) hearing aids. My natural hearing loss is greatest with higher frequency sounds. As a result, some spoken words are unintelligible. As I stated above, my Phonak hearing aids make those words louder, but still unintelligible. And, in terms of sound quality, everything sounds far worse than my natural hearing, quickly inducing physical headaches. Natural speech has a "telephone" quality. Background noise is unbearable (regardless of settings). On electronic devices (radio, tv, smart speakers, phones, etc.), both speech and music sound dreadful. Speech on those devices has a harsh, grating, distorted, high-pitch sound, like cartoon characters shouting over a telephone; and much of it is unintelligible. In music, singers sound like the Chipmunks, instruments don't even sound like instruments; and I frequently fail to recognize songs I have known all my life because the melodies are obscured. ... AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE INTEGRITY TO RESPOND WHEN YOU CONTACT THEM ABOUT THESE ISSUES!

Boy, is he in high demand! Our appointment was more than a month after I called to schedule it. FYI, I had a really difficult time finding the office. The closest cross streets are 75th and Book Road. (NOT the Reichert Rd. side, as the GPS took me!!!) I attempted to call the office to assist me with locating the building, but I was routed to a call center (?!) where I was put on hold and then hung up on! Then, when I called back, the girl who had hung up on me stated she was going to use Google Maps (which I was already using) to help me find the office. Not helpful. I asked to be connected to the office itself. While I was on hold the second time, I ended up finally locating the building. When I arrived, I was clearly frazzled and apologized, explaining what had happened to a receptionist. She wasn't very friendly, asking another receptionist about the "15 minute (late) policy"... Sooo, after all that, she was looking to turn me away??? (The waiting room was completely empty, btw.) Gee, thanks. Minus one star for the whole debacle with staff both on the phone and behind the desk. Even though we were late for our appointment, Dr Kaszuba was very kind and told me it was not a big deal. He was very personable and friendly, and talked through what he was doing and seeing. He also had a great bedside manner! We went through a quick health history, he examined my daughter, and then he scoped her to see if there was any irritation on her larynx. Luckily there wasn't! I really liked Dr. Kaszuba and would happily see him again if we legit need an ENT in the future!

They have created an incredible environment both physically and culturally. My daughter loves coming to speech therapy - an unbelievable feat! Between the gyms full of fun equipment to bounce, swing, climb, and jump on and the toys/games room filled to the brim with so many types of activities, BDI really lives up the "playhouse" in their name. All the therapists incorporate play into their sessions, either switching between exercises and fun, or combining the two! Everyone I've encountered seems to genuinely enjoy their job. When you walk into BDI, there is an upbeat positive feeling throughout- therapists greeting their next appointments as well as saying hello to the other kids they see. The other patients are happy to see their buddies (therapists) too! You can tell that everyone cares deeply about their patients. A wonderful benefit of their multidisciplinary office is the collaboration between therapists and disciplines. If your child needs multiple services, the therapists are in one location and can easily work together, determining the appropriate order and timing for the different services. It is much less coordination for the parent, both from a scheduling perspective and a patient approach. The patient gets better care with less friction. And, if the stars and schedules align, sometimes you can get back to back appointments to minimize visits to the office too! My daughter has worked primarily with Amy for speech therapy, with some physical therapy from Lisa. Amy has a kind welcoming demeanor that was absolutely perfect for my daughter, who takes time to warm up to new people. Amy moves at Viv's pace while still getting through the therapy exercises. She is able to gently reign Viv in when she is being less than cooperative. Amy is realistic about what is and is not feasible for daily homework and keeps it to the most impactful exercises. We love Miss Amy! Lisa is also wonderful, regularly checking in with Viv to see how things feel and making sure nothing hurts. She doesn't dismiss Viv's feelings and reactions, but uses them to guide treatment. There is a level of respect and consideration for the kids that they don't always receive from grownups. I have also gotten to be a patient at BDI for physical therapy, specifically for Craniosacral therapy (CST). I've had long standing challenges around breathing/posture/stress and have spent many years working through these with exercise, speech, physical therapy, and more. Lisa, Andrea, and Cassie at BDI have been an incredibly important part of improving these issues. I have been a tightly wound person my whole life, never good at relaxing. Other than coming out of anesthesia after surgery, I've never truly felt relaxed in my body until a few sessions into CST. I hadn't consciously taken a real, full, deep breath using the correct primary breathing muscles until my CST sessions at BDI. Now that I know what a relaxed state and a full deep breath feel like, I can get much closer to replicating them on my own through home practice. I feel calmer. My posture has improved- my shoulders are less rounded and my rib cage moves a lot more. I'm able to use these improvements in my Pilates practice to make more lasting improvements. The actual sessions are wonderfully relaxing. I highly recommend BDI Playhouse - an exceptional environment providing supportive services to kids and grownups. I'm so glad we found BDI Playhouse!

I did not get any kind of paper explaining what I should do next / checkout information. I did not receive any kind of bill. I had to press and press on the billing person in the office before she said we give 120 days for payment and if we don't get it, we send to a collections agency. WHO DOES THAT?! If you want to keep your patients, why wouldn't you call them personally like most places and say hey I'm not sure if you saw you owe $$, can I help you make that payment today? GONE.
