My husband and I are buying some custom in ear monitors, and in order to do that, one must find an incredible audiologist. Cathy is just that person! Cathy and her front desk receptionist Sandy were so accommodating and kind in their service, from the initial phone call to the ear impressions. When getting my ear impressions, Cathy walked me through each step of the way, asking questions and making sure I was having a comfortable time, as getting silicone poured into your ear canal is definitely a new and possibly strange experience. When I asked her a few questions at the end in regards to mailing the impressions and the anatomy of the ear, she was thorough, professional, and obviously very knowledgeable about her field. The only issue was finding the Bloomingdale location. The audiology center is on the second floor in suite 200 alongside the Wohl Eyecare Center. Once I got there, the paperwork took about 10 minutes, and the ear impressions took about 15-20 minutes. The visit and impressions were $65. All in all, the entire visit was incredibly pleasant! Musicians and singers in need of ear impressions, go find Cathy! She's also at the Wheaton location! I promise you; Cathy is the only audiologist you'll ever need!

Dr. Lisa Gumina, an audiologist and founder of Finer Hearing, made a house call and fit my family member with Widex Beyond hearing aids. Dr. Lisa surprised my family member with a follow up call checking on them and then discussed next follow up steps. That person attended Church that has a hearing loop and spent the entire mass smiling because they heard the sermon and songs. That was the best gift of all. Thank you Dr. Lisa for recommending Widex aids and all of their amazing TV and phone links too. Fun to even see a hearing aid finder if the aids are ever misplaced. Truly unbelievable technology. Thank you so much for sharing the gift of communication again so we can talk.

When my insurance carrier changed I learned that WCS did not accept them and was not willing to bring them on. Out-of-network insurance coverage would be very expensive because I would be paying the prohibitively high "cash" rate until my out-of-network deductible would be met. (Also very high.) I appealed to the owner to pay the same rate as I was with my previous insurance, which was more affordable. (I've done this before with other professionals and they had no issue.) However, the owner declined to accept my offer stating that she had to look after the welfare of the business. WCS has a financial appeal I could submit, but it is based on the Affordable Care Act. In otherwords, since I can afford therapy from WCS with my insurance only, I am denied any financial assistance from Afforable Care Act. Very disappointing.
