I cannot comment on the price as Gino impressed me so in our original meeting, that I did not get a second quote. I was sold on the spot! He recommended a high-fescue bluegrass mix sod because I own a dog for durability. The job was completed in three stages. The first stage was taking out the original grass and roto-tilling my yard. The second stage consisted of leveling, adding soil amendments, and checking irrigation already present. The third stage was laying sod as well as checking sprinklers for coverage and setting my irrigation timer. The whole process took 2.5 days. I could not be happier with the results. I highly recommend Gino. He is an extremely hard worker who shows a love for his work. His warm, genuine personality makes him a pleasure to work with.

This is a 10 year follow-up review of Jeff's quality work…read more Jeff installed my professionally designed Landscape design in 2014. The home was new construction and the yard was nothing but dirt. When Jeff arrived, his bid wasn't the highest, and it wasn't the lowest. He took the time to go over the other bids, showing where they were cutting corners or overcharging. His bids were detailed and itemized, which allowed for full transparency of each individual cost. No other bids provided this clarity. It was a great education, and I am so grateful. Our neighbors who hired the lowest bidders had every problem and more, from grading problems flooding their yard and neighboring yards, to invasive plants needing costly removals, to plants poorly planted and dying, the list goes on. In the end they all spent more and had minimal gardens they greatly disliked, the time frames took far longer, the workmen did shoddy work when and if they showed up. Compare this to Jeff & Lifescape, the entire process was a pleasure from start to finish. I'm glad to say that it's been 10 years and the yard looks better with every passing year. The pavers are still as beautiful as the day they were installed, the lighting system and watering system is quality and has never had an issue or need of repair, there have never been any grading issues, even with all these recent rains due to the proper drainage, and the plants and trees grow more lush and beautiful with each passing year. I don't think that you're looking for a high quality team nor have the budget for it. We're going to pass on this one.... I am appalled at Jeff's judgment and arrogance especially having never met me. I'm grateful he showed me who he was the first time, and didn't enter into some ridiculous relationship with him or his company.

Here's our story: My wife and I bought a house in Q4 2019. The house itself seemed turnkey ready, but both the front and back yards needed major work. The previous owners put a pretty good mask on them during the selling process... I'd guess that they hired someone for yard clean-up, then simply poured tanbark on top of weeds (without properly removing them). During the purchasing process, we learned that the irrigation system was original 1955 galvanized steel and needed to be replaced. The end result was: our new house looked great from the inside... but the yards turned into neighborhood blights after about 3-4 months. We needed help. After blowing our nest egg on a down payment, we saved for another year to be able to afford actual landscape/hardscape. We weren't sure where to begin and engaged multiple vendors. Pearman Landscape was among them. From our first meeting, Robert Pearman behaved more like a trusted confidant than a vendor. We had never purchased hardscape services before... and it definitely showed. Rather than lead us around by our nose, like the greenhorns we obviously were, he described the entire process like an impartial 3rd party. Multiple times, he gave us information while acknowledging "whether you go with me or somebody else." Robert immediately sent over his designer, Kristin Bailey. I had read the Yelp reviews from Jody and Bob and immediately got worried, as they both claimed she was unresponsive. Luckily, I had a totally different experience. Kristin was prompt, she was polite, she was helpful, and I ended up chatting with her for about 45-minutes after we walked through my yard. I found her to be an absolute treat and I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with her. She was wonderful every step of the way. Listened to what we needed, asked us great follow-up questions, made sure she was including plants and trees that we wanted in our design... and finished our plan in less than 2-weeks. It was very reasonably priced and we fell in love with the plan immediately after viewing it. I can't speak highly enough about Kristin. Based on our positive experience, we decided to move forward with Pearman Landscape. Not only will they redo our hardscape/landscape/irrigation, but I intend to retain them for garden maintenance after the project is completed. I'll provide updates and pictures as the process unfolds, but suffice to say: we're having a totally positive experience so far and I wanted to leave a 5-star review for any potential clients who might be considering Pearman. My family reached out to 15 different landscape companies around the SJ/South Bay area and Pearman stands head-and-shoulders above the other 14 suitors, both in terms of promptness, responsiveness, helpfulness, and pricing.
