Came for this twice.. and counting.

Really enjoy this shop. Same ownership as several other great spots like Baest and Manfreds, this is where the omnipresent sourdough is made - lived off the boulder sized loaf I bought here for a day and a half (solid 32 hours btw). It's pricey, like all of CPH but it's a lovely space with high quality food, music, and coffee (provided by coffee collective). Ownership group as a whole could work on service but it seems to be more of a CPH rather than restaurant group issue. The yogurt is outstanding and incredibly creamy; made from their internally owned farm and jersey cow. --Felt so connected to the area afterward! Haha-- The granola topping and small honey side lends a great contrast of sweetness and crunch to the opulent yogurt.

The best egg breakfast in Copenhagen! Along with the best bread and pastries. It is clear the bakery values quality of food. The French toast is also very good, but the portion is small. So if you are hungry I recommend going for the egg breakfast.

I live right by Mirabelle and therefor rarely go there. However, today my caffeine-hungered friend convinced me to take a coffee break at the quaint cafe. The coffee had a lovely rounded flavor that I have to admit is better than my home-brew (read: the cheapest instant coffee), it was also a lot more photogenic. I do think the place is a little overpriced, but I guess that's just Copenhagen for you in general. The four stars are for the coffee and the atmosphere.

A must go to at least once . Everything is organic, fresh, farm to table.i love the atmosphere, people that work here make you feel totally at home and part of the community. Everything is from their organic farm. Don't leave Copenhagen with s vist here !!!!!

A completely new cafe near sankt Hans torv and in front of the empire bio. Not many cafés in Copenhagen have large windows with plenty of daylight pouring in like this one. I also like the concept of being a bakery / cafe. Who doesn't like coffee and baked goodies in one! There are also glass walls that separate the bakery work shop from the cafe. In this way one can watch into the bakery side and see the whole creation process. Quite cool! The interior was quite hip and clean looking. I love this scandinavian style blending a lot of white, light wood and bricks on the wall. The cappuccino was very good, but we didn't try any of their baked products. Maybe next time. There were lots of people coming and going even though it's pretty new so people already know about it. I definitely recommend it for a coffee on daytime. The service was a bit slow. I don't know if it was due to the large amount of people that day or because they are a new cafe. Something they could work on a bit. Generally a good experience and a cafe I would go back to!

Let's just say I ate a LOT of pastries during my stay, and most of them from Meyers because they won my heart (or stomach). It all started with the raspberry bar (which I call Danish pop tart but it's so much better than a pop tart). It didn't have the white icing on it which I had seen at a bunch of other bakeries. But I actually prefer it that way because I usually find icing to be too sweet. I don't know how to describe this Danish pop tart, but I do know I will be dreaming about it for years after I return to Toronto. SO GOOD. So the next time I went back, I got the pastry with the poppy seeds on top, and butter and sugar inside. It was pretty good - very filling! I think I like there to be more flavours to my pastries though. Then, I went back the day after for a rhubarb pop tart and a rumball. I think I prefer the raspberry pop tart over the rhubarb one. And the rumball was yummy, and also very filling. I also got the iced latte (espresso, milk, vanilla syrup and ice) which reminded me of a tim hortons frappuccino but way more expensive =p Tasty though, and perfect for a hot day. In all my visits to Meyers, the quality of food/drink has been consistently good. I can safely say it was my go-to bakery during my short stay in Copenhagen!

We decided to comeback for dessert and I am so glad we did. One of my friends warned me cheesecake in Europe (especially Germany) does not always taste like cheesecake in the USA, because many bakers use quark instead of cream cheese. Well, Copenhagen is awesome and this adorable cafe with amazing cheesecake that does taste like my favorite cheesecake in the USA, made my trip. I tried the chocolate genache cheesecake and my husband ordered the pecan carmel cheesecake. Our friends ordered the tiramisu cheesecake. All three were absolutely delicious. We also ordered lattes and prosecco. The prosecco paired extremely well with the chocolate genache cheesecake. I can't wait to comeback. Thanks again!! :-)

The wine on offer was limited and not that great (the kind that stains your teeth and leaves grainy residue at the bottom of the glass) and the tapas was pretty unoriginal. My only advice is: stick with what you know. When you ask for a suggestion of which of the two bottles of red the owner of the cafe suggests and his reply is that he doesn't know, and admits to knowing nothing about wine...you know you're in for something bad. I end with four stars: three for the tapas, five for the cheesecake & hygge. Pro-tip: from about April on, the front window gets direct afternoon sunlight and basically will result in you feeling like you're sitting in a sauna if you snag one of the two available tables there. Consider yourselves warned.

SO MANY - but remember to go early, because inventory goes fast. If you're new to Danish baked goods and want to try a classic, start with the snegle ('snail'), something like a cinnamon roll (albeit offered in other flavors, as well, like cardamom). I'd skip the GF focaccia, however, as I found it to be fairly bland and overtly tomato-pastey. (But if that's your jam, have at it!) In addition to the GF options, there are plenty of non-GF options (but again, go early for the best selection), as well as an assortment of gourmet grocery items and cooler beverages.

I originally went for the frøsnapper, a danish poppy seed pastry, but every time I went they were out, so I finally opted for a cinnamon roll. The vegan foods in Hawaii are nothing special, so I was a little hesitant on buying something vegan, but at 15kr a piece, I figured why not. I am so glad I got it, because it's the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. The pastry was very chewy but flaky on the outside, and there was just the right amount of cinnamon. It was also very buttery (but of course it wasn't actual butter). The prices are much cheaper than the other bakeries that I went to, and I like these cinnamon rolls a lot more than the overly hyped Sankt Peders Bageri ones.
