I had been sick for…read more5 days with a sore throat, headaches, chest congestion, fatigue, coughing and then got laryngitis so decided it was time to seek urgent care. I had gone on their website last night and booked an appointment. That process was simple and straightforward. Once at the clinic, I was greeted immediately and given paperwork to fill out and waited just a few minutes before the med tech took me back to do vitals, etc. He was very nice, professional and pleasant. After a few minutes Jessica Lagenfeld, Nurse Practitioner, came in, and we reviewed my symptoms, how I was feeling, and she ordered a Covid test, a flu test and a chest x-ray to see if I have pneumonia. All those tests came back negative, thankfully. She wrote me several scripts to alleviate my symptoms and bronchitis and I was sent home. Jessica was terrific! She was professional, personable, great bedside manner. I'll definitely be back when I need urgent care. There's a reason ExperCARE has received "Best of" for many years. They've got it all: The quality of care, the pleasant and welcoming staff, the cleanliness of the facility and just the overall office experience.

There are several reviews of the Pharmacy located inside this particular CVS under another heading (CVS Pharmacy), but those are not to be confused with the Minute Clinic itself. My wife and I moved to Wilmington Island from Miami, FL several months ago, and this is the first time that I had occasion to use the Minute Clinic here. We had been traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday, and upon our return, my wife learned that she had Covid. While I had no symptoms, I wanted to ensure that I had not become infected, so I decided to get tested at the Minute Clinic. The process could not have been any easier. I logged onto the CVS.com website last Wednesday morning at 8am, clicked on the link to schedule a Covid test, entered my zip code, answered a few questions, selected an appointment time for a few hours later that same day, and voila!, I received a confirmation code for my appointment. As directed by my confirmation email, I arrived 15 minutes early, entered my confirmation code into the computer terminal inside the Minute Clinic area, and then took a seat in the waiting area. At the appointed time, a nurse ushered me into a room, took my vital signs, and then instructed me on how to perform the self-test. The swab was then entered into the testing machine, and then I was directed to the waiting area once again for a few minutes until the nurse practitioner was available to see me. She took down some further medical history from me and then gave me a short physical examination to see whether I had any congestion and if my lungs were functioning properly. I received my test results in a few minutes (negative, yea!) and returned home. As I noted earlier, the process could not have been easier. Moreover, both medical personnel with whom I interacted were courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to return again to the Minute Clinic at this location should the need arise.

When I was originally swabbed early on Saturday, they advised 24-48 hr turnaround for results. Two days later on Monday, the front desk explained it was late because their lab was closed for Memorial Day and wouldn't be providing results until Tuesday. This was frustrating as I took the test specifically for urgent travel and would have gone elsewhere had I known the usual 48 hr wait was now going to be 72 hrs. Later that same day, I received a text in the evening with results that had been published by a lab a couple hours earlier. Seems the lab was open! Communication here is poor. I normally prefer to support small businesses but after my experience at ExperCare I would recommend going to Walgreens or CVS for Covid testing to avoid frustration.

Today, 4 days later, she's worse and so sick, she went to a different Urgent Care in Savannah where she was actually tested with immediate results - NO STREP! NO MONO! I wouldn't tell anyone to go to this Urgent Care location because the Drs are too lazy to take a simple test for an accurate diagnosis...... Aside from the misdiagnosis by the doctor, My dgtr said the office staff were very nice so that's good.

The problem I have…read morehad is I paid with a check, received a bill, told them I paid with a check they informed me they didn't have a check. It had not gone through the bank. I paid with my credit card. a month later the check came through the bank. No Credit for it, no phone call, nothing. Today I went back and paid with a check again. We will see what happens. Oh and I wasn't given a receipt for it. My fault, I should have ask for one. But you can bet I won't be paying for this visit twice. Make sure you get a receipt.
