I started having some chest pains that I couldn't really place. I was hoping it's not a heart attack or something so I went to urgent care. I was apprehensive about going to urgent care so close to closing time - worried I could not get great care. It was around 3PM and the place closed at 4PM. Boy was I wrong. The service here was impeccable and despite it being last minute, the physicians assistant were patient and did multiple tests to rule out all potential issues with my heart. The front decks check in was simple and the attendant greeted me with a smile. The medical assistant was kind, attentive and thorough. Overall, great experience here. I left confident that every rock was turned before diagnosing me. The icing on the cake is that I got a call a few days later to make sure I was feeling better. This office is the most poorly run urgent care I've ever experienced. First, if you call you will be put on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes, then someone else will pick up and ask you again why you're calling. Once I was told they were too busy to schedule an appointment over the phone. Even with an appointment, expect to wait 30 minutes at least to get put into a room, and then another 30 until you're seen by anyone. I received excellent care at ExperCARE this morning and highly recommend them! I had been sick for 5 days with a sore throat, headaches, chest congestion, fatigue, coughing and then got laryngitis so decided it was time to seek urgent care. I had gone on their website last night and booked an appointment. That process was simple and straightforward. Once at the clinic, I was greeted immediately and given paperwork to fill out and waited just a few minutes before the med tech took me back to do vitals, etc. He was very nice, professional and pleasant. After a few minutes Jessica Lagenfeld, Nurse Practitioner, came in, and we reviewed my symptoms, how I was feeling, and she ordered a Covid test, a flu test and a chest x-ray to see if I have pneumonia. All those tests came back negative, thankfully. She wrote me several scripts to alleviate my symptoms and bronchitis and I was sent home. Jessica was terrific! She was professional, personable, great bedside manner. I'll definitely be back when I need urgent care. There's a reason ExperCARE has received "Best of" for many years. Called to make an appointment/see how long the wait was. The woman who answered the phone put me on hold -- for 7 minutes. When I finally hung up and called back, she didn't answer, she just picked up the phone and put it down on hold then did that again, then transferred it and then I was hung-up on. Whoever owns this business needs to know that whoever is answering the phone at 2:30 on a Monday hates their job and is driving away business. read more

On this Sunday morning it took 20 minutes as a new patient to sign in, fill out paperwork, and receive a rapid Covid test. Pretty efficient. Thankfully, it was negative and just the seasonal allergy. Despite the sign in front of their building they are not technically an urgent care. Apparently they bill as a primary care, which limits what insurance they take. This isn't listed online, and wasn't explained on the phone, so I wasted time rushing here with an urgent issue. I guess that's American healthcare. read more

Friendly and clean. In town for vacation but needed to see urgent care. I went one time and my mom went another. I went without an appointment and I was there 105 minutes. My mom had an appointment and was there for 30 mins. So I'd recommend making an appointment. Front desk staff is very friendly and medical staff very good and helpful. read more

Was in and out in less than an hour and a half! I had booked an appointment for later in the day but was able to show up a few hours earlier and get seen then. Excellent care. I went after an ER because I still felt bad even though I was told I was fine. The doctor was kind and ran a lot of tests just to be sure. It turned out I had pneumonia! Holy incompetence. I had an appointment for 3:15, and didn't get for a full hour. No exaggeration. I went up and asked if there was some confusion, as I was number 1 in the line. The receptionist said that she "can't control what order the physicians call people back" so what's the point of the line system? To make it even worse they called someone in before me?! Six people walked in after I got there, one guy had a 4 pm appointment and the receptionist didn't say anything to him about a delay. I mean cmon, I know we are at their mercy and there are delays but at least let people know that they will be waiting for an hour! What's the point of appointments anyways. This place has it together. We are from Wisconsin; getting sick out of state is a challenge. Check in was a combination of verbal and online. It was well thought out, and quick. Every person in the clinic was professional and personable. Our world would be much different if everyone listened as well as those who work here. I was almost caught off guard by their kindness and concern, and this was at the end of the day. I just have to give this Urgent Care place a bad review because they are kind of scamming people. The care was really good and I have no complaints because the nurse was really nice and helped me but they make you give a card on file before your appointment and say they will notify you 10 days before they charge you but I'm a gen z- I know how to check my email and phone... and there was no notification whatsoever. Took hubs last Wednesday for covid test and sadly positive. In and out with a script in under an hour. Yesterday their office called to see how the hubs was doing. While this place is very busy, they were extremely accommodating and took me. The receptionist was so kind and helpful. Walk-In Check-In was easy. I usually always come here for urgent care, today when I arrived (although it was about an hour before closing) the woman at the front desk had an immense attitude about checking us in. Before we even walked in the door she threw her hands up in the air and was clearly upset that there were people who needed to seen. While inside and waiting to be called back she was complaining to another woman about people who come in soon before closing. It was extremely disrespectful and rude. This is not the environment they usually have. If this woman is going to be so upset about patients needing to be seen maybe she should look for a new career path. read more

My daughter was visiting Savannah when she needed medical care. The PA-Jessica, was so impersonal that she did not get any medical history and never told our daughter that she was ordering 26 (yes, 26) tests. You have to receive a patient's consent to send medical testing. This is poor care, and malpractice. My daughter has regular healthcare in her home city, which should have been ascertained. The only way these tests were identified was when a huge lab bill was in process through insurance. My daughter and I called experCARE, and no one would let us speak with the treating PA. She did finally call after 4 days, and never apologized or stated that she was inappropriate. The CEO of the company (which is listed on their website) did get involved when we found her on linkedin and sent a note discuss how inappropriate this entire visit was. The lab bill was reprocessed as a result of this, however, if we did not contact her, the issue would not have been resolved. My suggestion would be to train your staff to actually establish a relationship with their patients and communicate tests or labs that are needed. (I happen to be a healthcare professional). read more

While on vacation in Savannah, my wife tripped & fell down a few stairs. Due to significant swelling etc we visited ExperCare on Abercorn St. The staff here was exceptional. They were very professional, empathetic, caring & efficient. Images were taken of her ankle, foot & spine & assessments were completed. After asking for medical history, prompt Immediate advice was given with recommendation to follow up with our orthopedic specialist. They provided a walking boot to facilitate her mobility. Everyone, without exception, was knowledgeable & caring. read more

Care was acceptable for bloodwork and covid, however billing is a nightmare. Copay was paid, but Expercare neglected to file the claim with the insurance company. When we received a bill, we called to ask why, and ended up giving them the information to file the claim. As soon as we hung up, they charged my daughters credit card for the full amount of the bill, AND simultaneously filed the claim, and will not credit the credit card until the claim is received. So far, this situation has required 5 phone calls, and Expercare billing is completely uncooperative. It was their error for not filing the claim, now we have a large charge on our credit card to pay, and wait 30 to 45 days to get reimbursed? Wrong, poor business practice, and I have never known a doctors office to handle a billing/claim this way. We will find another urgent care center to use next time. read more

I tried to have a follow up on the phone because the prescription they gave me wasn't working. A provider has yet to call me back. I'm so grateful to the staff at ExperCare, especially Alyssa (sp?) at the front desk! My daughter needed to submit a negative Covid test in order to move into her dorm. My city had just been through Hurricane Ida, so we wouldn't be able to get one where we lived bc all the testing sites were temporarily closed bc the city was without power. In my haste of trying to make sure we could get her the test within the alloted time, I thought I scheduled an appointment at this facility. I hadn't realized my mistake until our arrival. When we got into town, we went straight to the clinic. Alyssa informed us that she didn't see an appointment for my daughter. Keep in mind, we had just been through Hurricane Ida the week before and were still dealing with the aftermath back at home, had just driven 10 hrs only to find out I had scheduled at the Richmond Hill clinic, not this one, and we needed these results for 730 the next morning. I was beside myself and near tears. Alyssa was so kind and assured me they woul dbe able to get us taken care of...and they did! The entire staff was professional and friendly, and the facility was very clean and nice. I would absolutely use this clinic again if I was in town and needed to seek health care servies.
