Peter & Amy were GREAT! They took me as a walk-in - zero wait time - and were very fast professional and helpful in evaluating my wrist injury! Thankfully just a sprain, no break (this time) :) read more

I can't recommend this place enough! Kim was absolutely amazing and so helpful when it came time to the payment and how much everything cost and what all would happen. I was immediately brought back the NP Peter came in and asked me what all happened and told me exactly what happened and ordered an X-ray. I was in the back for a total of 10 minutes but all my answered all my questions both Peter and Kim were the best and so friendly they treated me more like family than a customer. My friend brought me here and she was ignored by the last place but is now a customer here and getting everything done here. Couldn't recommend this place more!!!! read more

Let me first state that there are not enough accolades I can give Ortho Pooler. I have been seeing Peter for my ailments for the past 3 years. From broken bones to joint pain, I have receive the best care possible. I am a neurophysiologist in the Savannah area and I live in Pooler. I know many competent ortho offices but non stand up to Ortho Pooler, And here is why......... No matter what is going on at the office, I am always greeted with respect and kindness by Kim. She has a seemingly endless supply of graciousness. On top of her sunny disposition, she has all the know how and patience to do deal with stuff from insurance to billing to being emotionally distraught, Kim takes care of it. Period. Peter if a fountain of knowledge and competence and has a knack for finding the right solution for any of the issues I have had - broken hand, joint injections in shoulder and knee, broken toe, etcetera. And, not only, is the treatment always appropriate, Peter makes sure my diabetes is considered in the treatment. It is not only the competence that drive Kim and Peter, but I have noted that they treat each and every patient with respect and making them feel that they are the most important person in the room. This is something I strive to do in my practice and to them, this gift seems to come naturally. I submit this review with all honesty and sincerity. Tony P read more

Backstory: I've been having excruciating pain in my left upper body to where I couldn't sleep for DAYS and when it started to go numb I couldn't get an appointment anywhere but "The Joint" since they did walk ins. After a week the swelling went down but the pain was still unbearable, so the sweet chiropractor strongly suggested I visited this specific urgent care facility. Today: I walked in and was immediately welcomed, and they helped me through my paperwork and even assisted in contacting my insurance for me while I checked in. Some people would have considered that an annoyance, but she was so kind and informative to help me with future visits etc. I was finally taken to the back, NP Mr. Peter Hill, was attentive and explained everything very well. When I mentioned my pain he went straight to the spots and was able to identify the specific areas. He was VERY patient because mind you, in was in extreme pain, could barely hear due to the pain and nervousness so he had to repeat himself, I was jittery, etc. He recommended a shot and I accepted, he was informative and quick! (I had 1 shot injected in 4 different areas so imagine!!! He made it so quick) He prescribed some medication and saw me out. He reassured me that it would get better and to keep in contact if anything. A few hours later i began to feel my neck and shoulder loosening up and the pain has decrease almost 50%! Before bed I took my medication and I think I can finally get some real sleep after 2 weeks. Thank goodness!!! 10/10 great clean facility, professional, KIND, quick and effective! read more

I walked in for follow-up about a sprained ankle that wasn't getting any better. I had been to the ER previously, but figured that following up with Ortho Now would be quicker than waiting to get an appointment with an orthopedist. WRONG. Because I was seen in the ER and told to follow up (if I SO chose to) with a specific doctor (but never told I couldn't see another doctor), then refused to see me at all. Since I've been experiencing worsening pain, I certainly feel that they've breached the standard of care required by people in their field. AVOID ORTHO NOW if you really need help! ETA: as I was writing this review (while waiting for them to give me a written explanation as to why they were denying me service), staff decided to see me after all after speaking with their higher-ups. I guess they realized that they were way off-base for trying to turn me away in the first place. read more

No one likes going to any medical facility, however i would have to say that the entire staff at Ortho Pooler made my experience so much better. Professional people with loads of personality. They made me feel more like a friend than a patient. Thanks for the excellent care and letting me experience how all medical practices should be. Mare Ellison read more

This place is AMAZING!! We had the very best experience!! My son crushed his arm ( like it was in pieces) and they treated us immediately and with the best respect ever!! I give them an A++ read more

These guys are awesome! Everyone is so supportive with great bedside manner. Went in with what I thought was a torn rotator cuff, but just ended up being tendinosis. The NP gave me a cortisone shot, which worked wonders, and let me squeeze the dickens out of his hand through the shot pain because I was such a weenie lol. A very personable group who seem to really care about their patients! read more

You Decide, Bad Treatment? This facility was not able to diagnosis my arm injury and did not take proper steps to do so. It was diagnosed after an MRI ordered by another orthopedic doctor. Short version: My arm was fractured (broken), and I had a rotator-cuff tear. It would have been dangerous for me to do physical therapy that they were going to order without an MRI. I would not recommend using this facility at all as the non-medical staff seem to be over-riding medical decisions that should be made by doctors and trained medical professionals. Long version: My right arm was hurt from a fall that originally I thought might be a bruise that would get better on its own. After two weeks my arm was not getting better. The Physicians Assistant (PA) at Ortho Now had X-rays taken that did not show a break and said I needed an MRI. The MRI was originally declined by the insurance who said to follow physical therapy (PT), however, the PA on the second visit said they would appeal the insurance's decision to do PT first before the MRI because it could be dangerous for me to do PT without knowing what was wrong with my arm. The office staff did not seem to know how to file an appeal and asked why the insurance company didn't send them the form to fill out. My insurance company said they could get the form online and have the doctor talk to them about the need for the MRI. I tried to explain this to office staff who after discussion said they would not make an appeal. The insurance company told me to go to the Emergency Room and not deal with this office anymore. A formal complaint regarding quality of service is being filed. The Dr. at this facility NEVER saw me once. The office staff DECLINED to file an appeal even thought the PA said their office would appeal. THE Physician's Assistant was right, I needed an MRI. Actually diagnosis once I had an MRI ordered by another orthopedic physician in Savannah: Greater tuberosity small acute nondisplaced avulsion fracture with large bone contusion and superaspinatus anterior insertion 1.5 cm by 1.5 cm high grade partial bursal sided tear. Yes, my arm was fractured (broken), yes, I had a rotator-cuff tear. Yes, it would have been dangerous for me to do PT. Who is running this office? Medical professionals do not seem to be. read more

They Did not tell me they did not take my insurance after I asked. A surprise bill for 380$ is not acceptable. The care was great however honesty would of been better. read more

Wow, first time I went to Orthonow instead of my regular orthopedic doctor and I was so impressed. From being greeted when I came in until I checked out after I saw the doctor, everyone was professional and I received great care and attention. Didn't feel like I was 'just another number' in the patient line-up. Turns out what I was afraid was a break was only a bad sprain, but they took all precautions to properly diagnose the problem before sending me home with instructions on proper care. read more

My son was seen at Ortho Pooler today, after enduring a sports injury. The front desk was professional, friendly, and very efficient. We were seen by Pete the NP and he was a rock star! He was knowledgeable and caring. Even though this facility is an urgent care, he took his time to explain the extent of the injury and recommendations. The facility is nice and accommodating. I will recommend this facility to friends and family in the future. read more

Don't use Ortho Now! My wife went there for an arm injury she had from a fall. The office staff are arrogant and act like they were the ones who make medical decisions. The PA had some x-rays done and concluded there was no broken bone. The doctor sent an order to have an MRI done which was rejected by the insurance. The staff said the doctor would appeal the insurance decision, but the next day they said my wife would have to have six weeks of physical therapy and they would not appeal the insurance decision. My wife went to the emergency room instead. The hospital requested the x-rays from Ortho Now and, after waiting, they decided to do their own x-rays. It turns out that the arm was broken after all. read more

I saw Dr Shults for a second opinion on a badly healed shoulder that I had broken. I had been told to live with it or if the pain got bad enough I'd need a shoulder replacement. After an x-ray and MRI I was told that a replacement was not necessary and it could be fixed with day surgery. I'm a month past now and in physio and am thrilled so far with my progress. Still in pain, but my level of movement has improved greatly from what I was originally plagued with. I see great things to come. read more
