My 21-year-old son was not feeling good ears were bothering him had a headache throat, we went here…read moreThe doctor spent like 5 minutes with him did not do any kind of test just told him to go buy some delsym and some pure saline drops gave him a specific brand to get, we did He suffered for a couple more days till I got them into a regular doctor I drove him because he was feeling dizzy on top of that, I took him to Duly by Costco on meacham road, I wish I thought a checking there a couple days earlier to see if he could get in. The doctor there looked in his ears right away The other doctor did not even look at physicians immediate Care they never looked at his ears never looked at his throat! Well this doctor at the duly took one look in each of his ears and told them you have an ear infection in both ears That's what's causing all this problem, a real diagnosis! So he prescribed antibiotics and within a day of taking them the pain started to ease up finally the kid had some relief after being up so many hours because he couldn't sleep because of pain. And then my son paid their copay that his insurance tells him to pay while we were there well at least that's what we thought it was when the lady charged him 93 bucks for absolutely nothing, about 5 months later he gets a bill in the mail wanting $286 bucks, then they send him an email and a text and the text and email both say that he signed up for auto pay so this place saved his card information when he made the payment he did not write his card number down did not give them permission to do an auto pay and they did not turn it into the insurance company but no they did take it out of his card which is linked to his bank account and we had to fight it because they did not have permission to do an auto pay so watch yourselves if you go here you are better off going to the emergency room. I will never again go there myself or take my husband or my children there. I went months before like a half a year probably my son for a problem I had with my leg They did an x-ray and said everything should be okay that this sore I had on my leg next to hardware was fine there was no infection in the bone, but guess what there was an infection in my phone I had hardware on my tibia and my fibula and there was in fact an infection in my tibia I had to have the hardware removed, and my tibia cleaned out to get rid of infection. So I have good reason not to trust this place for myself and with my son going there They are rip offs they have no clue what they're doing! Go to the emergency room and skip this place well we were there I heard them send somebody that came there to the emergency room anyway for an x-ray because theirs was not working or the tech wasn't there something. And so according to what I heard they had spoke to them on the phone before coming in and when they got there and said what the problem was they could have been told and should have been to go to the emergency room because it sounds like you will need an X-ray and we are not able to do it today but no instead they let the person stay with their child and why so they can get more money No doubt they build the persons insurance and charge them the copay and who knows what they tried afterwards. If I could rate this place on the scale a negative zero I would do that

I still get a bill statement which I have to request for itemized of the charges.

This review is a couple years late. But it just popped into my head, so figured I'd review now…read more It was around Feb. 2020. Which was near when Covid was becoming newsworthy. My wife had cancer and had been through 6 months of chemo, 1 month of daily radiation, as well as other treatments. This day she was having chest pain, and I insisted we go see what is happening. Turned out is was probably just anxiety. Anyways, I pulled up in front to let her out and park the car. But she told me to wait a minute. So of course I did. We sat for maybe 2 minutes in the car. Nobody around outside. No other cars. I just was seeing how she was, and persuading her to go get checked out. Then out walks a lady nurse. I'm thinking to myself, "good, maybe they will help persuade her to get checked out". Boy was I wrong! We were greeted with an angry, "What are you doing sitting here?" I said, "My wife has some chest pain and we are just getting ready to come in." Her response in a snarky tone was, "Well it's really weird you are just sitting out front like this!" I responded, "Well, we were deciding if it was needed to come in." Her response, "We can't help you, you need to go somewhere else!" It was a very weird experience. Thank God my wife was fine and it seems it was only anxiety or perhaps just something caused from her year of cancer treatments.

We didn't have an appointment, so because we were a walk-in for the first time, my husband had to give his ID and insurance card. Then, the receptionist said it would be about an hour wait since we had 4 people in front of us. We waited, and after about 20 minutes, he got his identification cards back and was told to look over all of the printed information and to sign the papers. Upon looking at the info, the receptionist put his phone number in incorrectly, and his birthday was 2 months off even though it was on his ID. My husband made the changes on the paper and told the lady that the info was wrong, and she said that his insurance said the birthday she put in the system... even though she had his ID with the correct birthday. This truly wasn't a big deal because it was a small mistake, but my eyes and ears were on alert throughout the whole visit because of this. Some other negative things I noticed: they quickly diagnosed my husband with tonsilitis even though he had no other symptoms other than small swollen lymph nodes and that they claimed his throat was a little red. They gave a prescription to him for antibiotics, but I thought that seemed crazy. He ended up not taking them and was fine in a couple of days. Next, he got his ears cleaned, and the male nurse randomly left us in the room with all the supplies in the room, which seemed extremely unprofessional and flat-out disgusting. Literally, the spray bottle was kept behind my husband where he was sitting, and the dirty waxy water was kept on the counter in front of us... No one should be trusting random patients in a room with dirty tools. They didn't even take the dirty paper off of him, and they didn't wipe his ears off or anything. It all seemed so gross. After the male nurse left, the female doctor came in and rushed us out and told him to use ear drops so that he could come back for a follow-up. She also left all the dirty supplies in the room, and my husband had to literally ask her if he could throw away the dirty paper left around his neck. The only positive was that everyone seemed nice and friendly. However, after they were rushing everything and came to random conclusions that could potentially make sense, it made me hesitant. We didn't even get a post-visit summary page or anything after. Overall, I'm not sure I'd come back, to be honest. I'm used to going to Amita Immediate Care facilities, and I've always had positive experiences where they'd clean after themselves and be honest with diagnoses.

Astoundingly efficient office…read more The office is easy to locate and very clean. Some of the outside office waiting area furniture is a bit aged but still serviceable, I'd probably say they'll replace or refurbish the furniture in a year or so. The clinic rooms are extremely clean and very well maintained. The clinic rooms put the waiting area to shame. Intake nurses are polite and conversational. They're willing to take time to collect and explore medical history. The APN (care provider) is very efficient in their provision of care. They do not argue with a persons needs. They go above and beyond to make sure that the patient is the driving force in the room and the provider a validating and prescribing agent. Instead of the provider talking down to patients with chronic conditions the provider lets patients decide their care needs and aids the navigation. It's truly a collaborative care environment unlike some offices I've been in where providers are controlling and have the final say in everything. This is a prime go to clinic for most minor needs. That said it might not be a fit for more major needs. There's the large Des Plaines care center for more extensive needs such as the need for an on-site blood laboratory and point of care blood testing. For your basic sinus infections and pneumonias etc this office will do the job efficiently and quickly. For more involved rare organisms, you might want to consider the larger urgent care / outpatient center. Choose carefully based on the severity of your condition. Also, don't bother with instant quick care video visits. They'll just waste your time and have you go to urgent care. This clinic has been a go to for my healthcare for years and will remain that way.

My visit went fine but she has a bad attitude. Went online at 6:30 am to register for my "place in ". Tried on phone and PC and there was no option to "get in line" at this location. I kept trying and figured the "line" didn't open until the location opened at 8:30. Got online at 8:33 and it said I could get a place in line and the wait was 6 minute. Since it was only a 6 minute wait I got dressed and arrived at 9:05. There are 3 people in line ahead of me with a 40 minute wait! Ugh! The nurse practitioner came out and asked me if I was the next person. I responded with "I wish". And explained to her what happened. She explained that there were already people physically in line at the store at 7:00 am so she made the online "line" unavailable until 10:00 am. This should be stated on the website. If I had known that I would have gotten dressed and come at 7:00 this morning! This online sign up is seriously flawed. Not to mention, the way the nurse explained it was condescending and she lacked empathetic customer service. I'm not sick often so I don't know the ins and outs of getting a good place in line. CVS could do a much better job of explaining the process on the website.

Started off in the Buffalo Grove office, but once I moved to Mount Prospect, I switched to the office there. So, I've been with Dr. Stefaniuk since ~ 2009. I guess you could say my money is where my mouth is on this review. Dr. Stefaniuk is fantastic. He spends time to truly listen to your problems when you go in. Asks good questions and then presents ample time explaining the diagnosis. I will continue to go here and hope to for a very long time. An older video, but here is an introduction video I found on Dr. Stefaniuk - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHDDOcT3fO0 The facility itself appears clean and modern. The support staff have always been pleasant and easy to work with. During Covid times, they had great protocols in place when coming in. When going in for an appointment visit, I never had a wait time issue. There have been a few instances in the past when I would come in for the On-call doctor (immediate care). All the times that I have, I never experienced any significant wait time (all under an hour from what I recall). If necessary, they have many specialty practices you could get referred out to. For example, I went to an ENT under NCH and was pleased with those doctors as well. I'm a little surprised to see a bunch of the 1 star ratings. Those all seem to be billing or wait time issues. I'm guessing you are going to have those type of complaints at all doctor offices/hospitals..... (Unrelated to this medical office, but my wife gave birth at the NCH Hospital and that was a great experience as well).
