Went there at 7pm for a diverticulitis flare and waited over 55 minutes. During that time, they told me my insurance was not accepted, AFTER I had gone there yesterday?! I told them they were not compassionate, and Atamaska said that "ALL urgent cares are like them"?! She took me back and wrote my vitals on a "paper towel"?! Then she came back and said the doctor could not diagnose me without a CT scan or Ultrasound, so I was told to go to the ER. All this after waiting almost an hour and they were fully aware of what I was there for. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! WORST URGENT CARE!!!! Staff does not care at all.. I would give 0 stars if I could. My family and I have been coming here as needed for quite a few years, but today will be our last visit. I scheduled a sports physical for my son with a 2:10 PM appointment. By 2:50 PM, we were still waiting. I overheard the front desk tell another patient that they were running late and it would be a two-hour wait. Thinking I must have misunderstood, I went up to confirm. I was told that they "shouldn't really be called appointments" because they take walk-ins ahead of scheduled times and that delays can't be controlled since it's an urgent care. Why are you taking walk-ins ahead of scheduled "appointments"??? If that's the case, then why offer appointments at all? I left work early and took my son out of school to make this appointment--time that cost our family money and took away from his academics. To then be told we will be waiting another two hours at least is beyond frustrating. Now we're scrambling to find another option for his physical on short notice. They even suggested coming back at 8:00 PM, but wouldn't guarantee we would face the same two-hour wait again. When I asked why the delay wasn't communicated ahead of time by calling ahead of our scheduled time, I was told "they don't do that." When I asked why this wasn't shared with me at check-in, I didn't receive an answer, I was told 'it's urgent care'. When I requested a refund for the $60 sports physical, I was handed a folded piece of paper that turned out to be a receipt--not a refund. I had to go back in and ask again. They then voided the payment and provided updated documentation, but at this point I have little confidence it was handled properly and will be monitoring my account. The lack of communication, accountability, and respect for patients' time was extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, I ignored previous reviews because we had decent experiences in the past--but I won't make that mistake again. I hope you don't either! read more

Two step TB test for work. I was a walkin the first visit and there was a lot of other people. Got me back to room in less than 30 minutes even though I was walkin. When I told them I had less than 15 minutes before I had to leave because I am healthcare provider and scheduled to start with my own patients in 30 minutes, they accommodated me politely and professionally. After that visit, I utilized website to schedule appointment. With scheduled appointment, they had me in and out in less than 15 minutes for my TB test administration and result assessments. Update - two days later. Only 6 of my nine stitches remain. Hopefully it stays closed! I went in for a checkup. No bedside manner still. Stay away from this place! Update - three days after my stitches. Five out of the nine suture's have fallen out on their own - with my hand basically immoble . I have only four holding my wound together. Waiting for a "drs" call back. When I called today - they recommended I come back in and "have it re-stitched"....WTF are they serious? BTW - none of the examining rooms had the proper equipment, bandages etc. They went in and out every time at least three-four X...this place is a Freddie Kruger experience! Was in car accident and came here for a evaluation. I was set for a appointment and still ended up waiting about 1 hour. The staff was great. The problem came when I left and needed my Xrays the front desk Person gave be poor information then had difficulty receiving the results and my chiropractor also had a issue getting the results. read more

Despite having confirmed I had paid and standard procedure being paid in full on day of visit- I was sent to collections for an unpaid debt that I already paid. It's a year out from the appt and I now am having to talk to the credit bureaus and dispute things and just generally take time out of my day to avoid things showing on my credit history. So just make sure to keep your statements to prove if this happens to you. The doctor I saw was wonderful tho! read more

Insanely overpriced. I made appointments for my two sons and myself for rapid strep tests and it cost $260 each.

Go to another immediate care center. There's probably better options for immediate care than this place if you have a choice. We experienced a lot of problems. My son was misdiagnosed with a fractured wrist at this Physicians Immediate Care location. They had a lot of trouble reading the X-ray but they didn't even show the X-ray to us so we don't know what they were looking at. To be fair, they did advise that we also visit an orthopedic specialist and good thing we did because the doctor could not even find the fracture they claimed to have found. Another issue we experienced was being overcharged the co-pay amount after reviewing the EOB breakdown. They had the nerve to send us a bill recently for the balance they couldn't collect from our insurance for the sub-par overpriced service rendered. Also they have an appointment system where you can book a time slot online but it doesn't do anything because they don't seem to honor the time slot you sign up for. We had a 5:40pm appointment but wasn't seen until well after 7 pm. After I communicated my frustration and constructive feedback on how they can improve their services and level of quality via email I did receive a voicemail from Jasmine (who seems to be a regional director) to discuss further, but after calling back twice I never received a call back probably in hopes that I would just give up. I'm not going to keep leaving messages and play games. read more

Very disappointed, I get that they are understaffed but prioritize appointments vs walk-ins otherwise what is the point of taking appointments. I made an appointment for my son and we waited 2 hrs without being seen and was told that there was only one provider and was taking care of more seriously ill walk-ins. I know it's not her fault, but the way the clinic is run is a total mess. They could have at least offered me a box of band-aids for wasting two hours of my life as a consolation for falling short on their health care commitment. read more

Literally the easiest experience ever. I was a walk-in so I expected to wait for a while but I was in and out in under 30 min. The girl at the front was quick with checking me in, the nurse took my vitals, and the doctor did a quick physical exam. My condition was pretty straightforward so they sent the prescription to the Walgreens across the street and got me my papers. Definitely recommend this place if you need some urgent care! read more

I went to physicians immediate care in Palatine over the weekend. I was a walk in, which I expected to wait a reasonable amount of time. It saddens me to see this location does not have more favorable posts. The staff was amazing. They were patient and kind although visibly overworked. There should be more healthcare providers at this facility especially on a weekend. I can't say enough about the staff members that were there. Perhaps Amita could look into their own policies. These dedicated healthcare professionals are working so hard to take care of others. I hope Amita can take a moment and look at how they are treating these dedicated professionals. Arrived an hour after opening, nobody in waiting room. The screens say nobody in rooms in the back. Waiting for 10 min. Someone comes in after me. They wait for 5 minutes and are taken back. All I needed was a drug test and my vaccine titers drawn. I've been waiting for 15 min for some unknown reason now. I asked for my paperwork back because I had somewhere to be soon. They said let me check when they will be ready. The said someone would be right out. A couple min later someone came out and got me. I believe she was a student, which was fine, I'm all for education, but you can't leave them alone when not proficient with blood draws. She tried twice and then someone else had to step in. The problem was she didn't have anyone there as a resource to help her trouble shoot when trying to draw my blood. I have no issue with the student but an issue with lack of supervision when they are learning. The floor in the exam room had garbage on it and dust bunnies. That isn't going to make you sick but you wonder how clean the rest is. On another note, since I had a poor experience here, I decided to try another location. I went to Libertyville. Apple Maps has their hours and they match to the door, but they aren't actually open. I'm only going here because my job requires it. Otherwise, steer clear. Not well run. read more

Went in for a DOT physical on a Saturday morning. There were 5 people in front of me. I waited @90 minutes to be brought into the back. 10 minutes before that they called up a walk-in that checked in after me. I spent 10 minutes with the nurse getting height, weight, eye test and urine sample. I was put in a room. Waited 20 more minutes to see the "doctor". The doctor spent approximately 90 seconds performing my physical. Left. That was it. I waited two hours for a 90 second physical. That is a joke. If you know that you're not going to give me a real physical, don't make me wait the two hours. That's unacceptable. read more

I have been dealing with Dr Ali's office for 2 years because they took my free health insurance from the state. From the receptionist to the manager. They are the worst health provider I have ever dealt with. I called for almost 2 weeks for refills on my daily medications and it took almost a month for them to call in the refills. Also I would 3 to 4 times a week. Then recently I got sick the prescribed me antibiotics and said I may need another round. After calling for a week in a half and said they would call it in. This place is a hot mess..They never asked for my name and treated me under the wrong patient name. I only noticed when I was signing a document and realized they had the wrong person. They charged a different persons insurance and were very unapologetic about it. The nurse was very short with me and talked over me while I was trying to explain my symptoms. The nurses/doctor also did not knock before entering my room which is a basic rule for any medical profession. There was an extreme lack of professionalism. I also had to call 3 times before they actually sent my prescription over and almost wasn't able to get my prescription because the pharmacy was about to close. I have never left a Yelp review before but I was shocked at how poorly they operate their clinic. I understand people make mistakes at work, everyone is human! However, I was disappointed with every single person there due to their lack of bedside manner, disorganization, and inability to correctly perform simple job tasks. Went in for a tick bite, charged $185 for the visit which included... wait for it.... them taking my blood pressure! That's it. Oh, and they wrote a prescription for One dose of antibiotics. Dr. Allen Thomas was condescending and rude to me, and they clearly wanted to get me out of there since it was about 10 minutes before they were closing.
