Calling this place an urgent care center only serves to denigrate it; literally every other urgent…read morecare center I've ever gone to has been mediocre at best, and usually pretty subpar. Lake Point urgent care should be the reference from which every other urgent care center is modeled: the facility is spotless but warm and inviting, the staff (especially clinical staff) are 10/10 on both medical proficiency and bedside manner, and you get answers and treatment...FAST. I don't understand why other urgent care centers...not to mention internal medicine offices...can't operate this smoothly. We typically get in and back at home with a diagnosis and filled prescription in about a hour. Dr Radovic, who owns the clinic and practices there I believe most days, is a top notch doctor who has consistently gone above and beyond for my wife and myself. If you live an hour away or less, you shouldn't go to any other urgent care.

The time between the nurse taking your vitals and the doctor seeing you is minimal (maybe another few minutes?). Every single person from the front desk, to the nursing staff to the doctor himself are incredibly kind and they actually listen. I've been places where doctors act like they know your body better than you and it's extremely frustrating. Dr Radovic isn't like that. He listens, he believes you, he doesn't say "it's probably just because you're fat" like a lot of doctors love to do to every problem. This place is a little out of my way but I come here exclusively now.

We sat in the room for a bit and w got him changed, cleaned and ready to go. All of the small processes in the room were stress-free and thorough. The family and I went out during his knee surgery and once that was completed the doctor called to let me know surgery was complete and everything went well. Then a nurse called and advised me on what happens next and let me talk to him. Once we arrived back we waited a short time and then we were able to head back to see him. Only two at a time. They had him up and walking and climbing stairs before we left. The staff was great! All of them!

This staff member's behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, and was completely misaligned with the standards expected in a healthcare facility (a place that is supposed to provide a safe space in serving patients who may be emotionally vulnerable or concerned about their health). This staff member spoke to me, my family, as well as other patients in a manner that was extremely rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful. Her tone of voice and demeanor conveyed an attitude of complete irritation, pure laziness, and a clear lack of accountability. Additionally, we witnessed her yell at an older patron to "Go sit down!" while he was attempting to ask a question. Her display of hostility toward someone simply seeking clarity about an update was horrifying. She is a BULLY. It seems as if this staff member counts on others not catching or hearing what she says (out loud or under her breath), or banks on no one speaking up against her or calling her out. I can 100% guarantee that this is not an isolated incident exhibited by this individual, but a continuous inappropriate behavior of hers that has never been addressed or corrected by management. This individual should be given a harsh consequence or be placed on some type of a behavior correction plan. Better yet, she should be removed entirely so that she is prohibited and banned from associating with any other human beings, ASAP. It's interesting, because each of the buildings have kind and helpful greeters posted by the entrance - how is it even remotely possible for this miserable obnoxious individual who is just NOT a good person continues to be employed and be allowed to interact with current and potential patients? Shameful. Endeavor Health, the ball is in your court - how will you advocate for your patients?

***Just to make you aware this immediate care center has relocated to suite 130***…read more I'm am up from Louisville, Kentucky visiting my cousins for family time. I have been up here since Saturday and we have been out here in these cold Chicago streets living life. Sunday my throat felt a little scratchy, by Monday I was worried. All throughout the night, I was awakened to the pain from swallowing that intensified as the night progressed to morning. By this morning I could not swallow without major pain and I could feel the drainage in my ears and sinuses. I was nervous about coming here because of the Yelp reviews but my cousin in law said this is the only immediate care he goes to. My experience was excellent from beginning to end. I arrived and was immediately greeted for check in. Check in was about 10 minutes to answer all the questions and sign the all of the consent forms. The gentleman who checked me in spoke clearly and was extremely nice. I waited about 5 minutes and I was called back by the nurse. The nurse was extremely friendly and efficient also. She asked me symptom questions and took my pulse and blood pressure. She Then left and said the doctor would be with me shortly. I waited less than five minutes for Dr. Shah to arrive. Dr. Shah introduced herself and then asked me questions about my sickness. She took the time to listen to my symptoms and she also took the time to just let me talk about how was I was physically feeling. She then checked my nose, ears and throat and we discussed my pain level. After she diagnosed me, we talked about the medication that she was prescribing me, the possible side effects and what to do to combat the pain until I started to heal. Lastly, she placed my prescription to my pharmacy of choice. She then printed off my "After Visit Summary" sheet and walked me out. Though I would rather have not gotten sick during my visit to my cousins, I am thankful I choose this immediate care company and location. If I am in the Chicago area again and get sick, I will be intentional of driving to this specific location.

Urgent cares were something that I got used to seeing when I moved to the east coast; it was…read moreinteresting to see more and more of these pop up back at home. This particular one is located off of Dempster, across from the new mini Target, where once stood a resale/consignment shop. UltraMed addresses the following needs (and, more) for their patients: cold/flu, sore throats, fever, cough, pneumonia, respiratory infections, rash, eczema, yeast infections, various testing, and even offer school/sports/camp physicals. The front desk was friendly, and the P.A. that I saw was fine. I just found it odd that there weren't really any other patients there at the time, and there was just an incredibly long wait time in every aspect - a long wait time to be called back, a long wait time sitting alone in the room until someone came in, a long wait time to receive a confirmation of what I had, and a long wait to follow-up and to get checked out. It became awkward, because what felt like 30 minutes or so after receiving a prescription and thinking that my session was done, I wasn't sure if I could just have walked out. There weren't any check-ins at all during at any point in these scenarios, and I really thought that I was forgotten! I don't mind seeing P.A.s or nurse practitioners, but only if they are competent in doing their job. However, the particular P.A. that I saw seemed to look up/research on his phone, had to get constant confirmation from one of the doctors that were on the premise, and played a waiting game to receive the 'okay' to proceed in how to handle the case. If I knew that was how I was going to get my diagnosis, I would have just self-diagnosed using the internet! I just felt that there was no respect for my time. Why couldn't the doctor just come in and say what was needed to be said, or the case be transferred to someone who actually knew what to do? The amount of time I spent here, it would have been better just to have gone to the ER and waited an extra couple of hours. There was also a billing issue; make sure you always have a receipt when you pay with your insurance to confirm payment, as you may get notices of an inaccurate balance! I'm glad I finally got the results and the medicine that I needed, but I can't recommend this place to others, especially since there is no sense of 'urgency.' My patience and my anxiety just can't handle it. There's plenty of parking in the small strip plaza lot. +extremely long waits times in all aspects +located across from the mini Target +free parking in strip plaza lot

The friendly staff at UltraMed took us with no issue. The office staff is beyond friendly and accommodating; very helpful. Dr. Alex in particular provides exceptional care with the best bedside I've ever experienced. We came in to refill some post-surgery medications. Dr. Alex examined the incisions and noticed a couple spots he thought he could help heal faster. He was very thorough and informative. He took the time needed to help keep surgical wounds healing well and even let me watch closely as he worked. He made easy friendly conversation between being very clear about what he was doing and why. If I could make this Urgent Care clinic my GP I would. By far the best medical care I've experienced.
