I came here on June 5th. To do my Medical Exam DOT card for Commercial vehicle. This is my 2nd time here doing this. 1st time when I was here 2 years ago things went well. 2nd time it was horrible experience and never again. I saw DR. M I've passed all my tests that day, vision, physical, everything passed, they handed me my DOT Medical Card, I went same day to DMV to update it. Did that, and they send it to Springfield also. A month later I've received a letter from Secretary of State that I need to fix my medical card because I wear glasses, or need glasses. Which is not true, because I've passed everything. So on office End they sent wrong information and now I'm dealing with this issue so DMV don't suspend my license any day. read more

Two months later, I get a bill from Quest Diagnostic for an additional $609. So this routine test cost me $859. Called customer support at both companies. I cannot say too strongly how incompetent this group is. The doctor called me around 3:00 pm to let me know that I had pneumonia and how urgent it was that I pick up medication the same day, Memorial Day. She emailed me the prescription around 3:30 but it was password protected. She did not send the password. I called the office and impressed upon the receptionist that was urgent for the doctor to send me the password. The receptionist was lackadaisical and did not approach the issue with any urgency. I never got the password and the office closed at 4:00. The answering service claimed there was no way to contact the doctor because all supervisors were off for the holiday. These people do not understand when something is an emergency or how to respond. read more

This is a review where the rating is a direct review on the billing. I took my 6 year old daughter that had strep a little over a month ago. The medical experience was fine, tests and the medicine all were performed well. The bill came in the mail afterwards, and then a little bit later I received a text message about an outstanding balance. I noticed there were two different Account Numbers in the mail and text notices. I called the Midwest Express billing number, and the agent there said one Account number (Account A) was just my daughter on it (not me), and the second (Account B) had both of us, with me as the responsible party. They said to pay the one that my name was on (Account B) and they were linked together, so the payment should cover both. I paid the bill on their website 7 days ago. Today I received an email saying I still had the full outstanding balance on Account A (and still no details provided on what the charges were for). Calling in to the billing department, they said Account A shouldn't have an outstanding bill on it, but they could not explain why we got a notice. I asked for confirmation in writing to that same email address that the account had a zero balance. They could not send it right now, and I have to wait "7-10 business days more" till I can get that email confirmation. And when I tried just sending an email note myself back to the address that sent the payment request, the message bounces from the email system that sent the notice, and there's no other email listed in the body to contact. IMO it's very sketchy that two accounts are created for a bill, and that they send multiple, different notices to pay each one. And for one of them, there's no details other than an amount and account number. And the Midwest Express bill payment website doesn't do any lookup/retrieval on the account number, it's just a blind payment submission with whatever you manually type in for the account and amount. I can see people being confused, thinking they might not have payed a bill, and end up paying multiple times for the same service since there's multiple accounts tied to the same charges. I have not experienced any of these billing issues with other health care emergency clinics in the area. I know mistakes can happen, and if things get cleared up quickly, I could revise my rating. But for now, I'd agree with others to be wary around the billing you may receive. read more

I loved visiting Midwest express! My visit was prompt and remarkably pleasant! I don't normally think of going to urgent care being something that improves my day, but this made my day! I had my blood drawn, and the nurse was very speedy while still answering my questions, satisfying all my curiosity about the medical field, and being nice. My doctor, Milena Stefanovich, was incredibly helpful and sweet. Since I'm going to work as a sub, she gave me advice about common ailments teachers get, encouraged me on my path, welcomed me to come back if I get sick, and was supportive and warm and wonderful in general. Perfectly quick while still giving me all of the info and being very kind. The best urgent care visit in my memory. I hope to see her again someday! I imagine urgent care clinics don't get a lot of love, lol, but I was extremely happy with my experience here. I came in (unbeknownst to me) extremely dehydrated and in terrible intestinal distress after a trip to Mexico (ahem, yes I know, yes I was careful, happened anyway). Dr Jess was so compassionate, knowledgeable, and explained things in a way that didn't make me feel stupid. They were playing 80s hair rock in the hall the first visit which I thought was hilarious and kept me in good spirits during my inevitable bag of IV fluids. (The next visit was soft pop so imagine they like to mix things up). Everyone from the front desk to the nurses were so helpful and friendly. I'm also a cash pay patient and I appreciated knowing up front what I was going to be charged. I can't say I hope to grace their doors anytime soon, but should the need arise I will come back with no hesitation! read more

Came in for a rapid COVID antigen test, receptionist was polite and my wait was literally a minute long. Maybe that's because I called ahead and made an appointment, but there were only two other parties in the waiting room. The nurses were busy, but still took the time to be friendly and efficient. Dr Frederick was super fast in letting me know my results (negative, thankfully), and went through what my soar throat could be, what other home remedies I can do, and sent me on my way In and out in 20 minutes. 10/10 read more

Our son had an ear infection and we waited over 90 minutes for him to get his vitals taken and were told to go back to the waiting room because there were 6 more people ahead of us. My experience was very nice. The receptionist was awesome as well as the Nurse. She was very gentle. Very worth a long drive. Clean, fast and hospitable. Extremely professional, friendly, and welcoming staff. They are exceedingly clear about the wait list and estimated time before you are seen. The rooms are also very comfortable and have a couch with a TV that you can lounge on while waiting to be seen once you are shown to a room. I'm really disappointed in this place. I scheduled an appointment for a COVID test last Tuesday (5/5) after I was exposed to a patient in the ER that I work in. The service at the time was efficient; the staff were friendly and helpful. I was told that I had to wait 4-5 days (Friday/Saturday) to receive a text message that included a link to a virtual waiting room, where I would be told my results by a doctor. This is a longer than average wait time and not exactly convenient, but I understood and was willing to wait. By Sunday, I did not receive a text message. I called and was informed that my results still weren't back but I should hear from someone on Monday. Monday came and went, no text. I followed up yesterday and was told my results WERE in but I had to wait until the doctor reached out to me. I was told that I'd hear from the doctor that day. It is now Wednesday and 8 days since my COVID test, and I have no idea what my result is. I've tried calling multiple times; the line is always busy or it rings repeatedly before I get disconnected, unable to leave a voice message. I'm livid. This is so unprofessional and irresponsible. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! I brought my baby here for a 1 inch hot water burn on his leg on a sunday (my pediatrician's office was closed) and i woke up with DCFS at my door the next day. The NP Xiomara Nieto did not express any concern during the visit, and asked exactly what caused the burn. The baby had a blister from the burn, which the nurse practitioner almost popped herself because she was not holding the baby appropriately when assessing. She then gave me a cream to apply on the burn and insisted i make a follow up appointment with her. I told her we have a visit with our pediatrician in a couple of days and she insisted we follow up with her at urgent care. I refused. My child's pediatrician who was aware of the burn and had a phone consult and saw pictures of the burn did not report us to dcfs yet a nurse practitioner who met us for 5 minutes took it upon herself to make it an extremely hard couple of weeks for my family and i having to go through this. If she was so concerned about abuse or neglect why didnt she even take pictures of the burn or measure it with a tape measurer not just estimate? Being a health care providers requires common sense, not just going by what you learn in a book during nursing school. I also sent an email to HR, the CEO, and left my callback number for the manager 3 times. No one has gotten back to me. I hope no one else has to ever go what i went through these past few weeks with my children. If you truly want to take care of your children and seek urgent care, i would not recommend this location with NP Nieto. read more

I went in clinic with my older son for a checkup rt away receptionist is very rude She assumed we were in for covid. Then the medical assistant took my sons vitals and was highly elevated then she said sit down which read better. We all know when taking person should be sitting down not standing up. Then I couldn't go with him with nurse practitioner which this has never happened before despite what we are go through. Then my son said they couldn't even do X-rays right. The nurse practitioner wasn't really knowledgeable either. They also couldn't even get my prescription to Walgreens I had to call again .I would not recommend going here at all very bad experience!!! EXCELLENT service and staff. Exceptionally clean. Needem PA did the swabs. It is next to AT&T in strip mall with Home Goods. Got Rapid and flu results while I waited and detail results in 2 days. Definitely would use them again. I have been going to NS on Woods but it is a production. First go make appt. Then you come back for appt and wait in the car. All that is fine, except NS refuses to understand that while waiting to see if you are sick,you are sharing a room with others also waiting in the same waiting and all may be sick. I took my child in for COVID testing after being exposed and the staff told me the throat swab would take 3-4 days for results. Sounded reasonable to me, so I agreed and we did the swab. Now I'm sitting here at 7 days later with no results. I don't care to speak with a doctor - I just want the results so I can plan accordingly. I never would have spent a couple hundred dollars on this test if I had known the results would have taken almost as long as the mandatory quarantine length. read more

My daughter has possibly broken pinky toe. So I came to this location and the girl receptionist sitting up in front desk is so rude. Giving patients attitude . Honestly if it would be afternoon I would actually tell her off and would not stay even for one more second to have my daughter treated there. But I didn't have any choice at all. All the immediate care were stopped taking patients at 5:30. I am writing this review while I am sitting there and will send it to post after care and knowing her name. They just called our name in and the nurse Maria is super nice and caring with a smiley face . Then Meredith the RN came another super person. Left very happy with those two but got very disappointed with the behavior of Receptionist Haleema. Just found out her name is Haleema. She needs to learn just like how the doctors and nurses are caring angels. She is a part of them also because she welcomes the patients first even before them. read more

I went there to see a doctor for sore throat. The appointment took less than 10 minutes. They charged me $ 389.09, after insurance plan discount I paid 92.00 the final amount. Few months later I received another bill of $75.00 from Lab. When I called to the billing department they couldn't get any reasonable explanation about the additional bill until I talked to supervisor. The final cost of my 10 minutes' appointment was $464.00 so be cautious of the billing. I will not recommend Midwest Express Clinic due to poor quality of service and high billing cost. My wife took two of our kids there when they both had a fever. They were both given flu tests (negative), and they diagnosed my daughter w strep throat. They have her the test, but felt w the symptoms were enough for the diagnosis. They put her on antibiotics and we were on our way. My son continued to get worse, and I got him into his pediatrician. Turns out they both had Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. I called the express clinic back asking about the strep test. At first they didn't want to give me the result over the phone, then they said it was negative. So they were sitting on a misdiagnosis test result without notifying us. Why bother giving her the test in the first place? While convenient, we will not be going there again. Turns out out good medicine matters too. read more

When she was taking the temperature she was holding the oral thermometer with her bare hand and she mistakenly released the plastic cover of the thermometer inside the mouth. I have extremely small veins which are hard to detect and always requires multiple sticks to draw blood. The latest technology at Midwest Express Clinic using the POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) made it an extremely easy and painless process for me for the first time in my life. I had a very bad experience at another urgent care clinic which I'm not going to mention the name which left a bad taste in my mouth. This clinic has a wonderful doctor. Unfortunately, I forgot her name. She was so patient, so informative and tried very hard to find me the best and least expensive prescription medicine that she could find for my illness. Currently, I'm unemployed so I have no health insurance. This clinic was so understanding of my situation and tried so hard to make sure that I could get the medical attention and medicine that I needed. This is quite possibly the worst medical facility I have ever been to - including several immediate care facilities. Urgent care is never great, but this place is truly awful. I made an appointment and filled out all paperwork online but the appointment was still 30 minutes late - this is somewhat normal. However, I was then brought to a room with a medical assistant who put on gloves and typed on the computer and left the room, grabbing the dirty handle a few times. She said I would be seen by a practitioner in the other room so I wasn't super worried about the gloves - but seconds later she stuck her hands in my mouth with the dirty gloves to swab me for strep - so gross. If I didn't already have strep, or the flu, or Covid, I'm sure I do now! If it didn't happen so fast I would ask her to change her gloves. What's the point if she touches every surface in the building before my mouth? Last, and most importantly - they did a rapid strep test which was negative, but they are commonly negative so also ran a culture. The NP started me on antibiotics because she thought I probably still have strep. She said they typically call with culture results in 48 hours but sometimes forget (?) After no update, I logged into check my results and saw no results but also no pending results. Called and they said they never sent it! I reiterated that I am traveling and need to hear back, the receptionist assured me she would call back and never did. So basically, I paid to have dirty fingers in my mouth and have no reliable tests run. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY. read more
