$130 for them to tell me I have an ear infection. I feel like a jackass getting frisked like that.

Dr. Ewart has been my personal doctor for over 20 years. She was in another practice in Highland…read moreVillage, and when she moved to Flower Mound, I went with her even though her former office was within walking distance of my house. She has been my savior over the years and has seen me through several health crises. I see her every 6 months for routine blood work and BP checks, and I can reach her through the office website if I need anything. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone who will listen to you and not rush you through an appointment.

1/5 Extremely…read moredisappointing experience and complete lack of patient-centered care. I arrived for a scheduled appointment while experiencing a significant headache, dizziness, and difficulty maintaining my balance. I was checked in and taken to an examination room before being informed that, because I had not visited the practice in three years, I was now considered a new patient and my physician was not accepting new patients. This should have been identified when the appointment was scheduled, not after I had already arrived and been placed in an examination room. The staff member who informed me of the problem acknowledged that she had failed to catch the scheduling issue and stated that she was taking full responsibility. When I pointed out that simply acknowledging a mistake wasn't the same as taking responsibility for resolving it, her solution was to send me to an urgent care facility across the street. Making matters worse, this same staff member had earlier been engaged in an excessively loud personal conversation in the waiting room. The conversation was so disruptive that I could not hear the receptionist while attempting to check in. I was already feeling dizzy and nearly fell while standing at the counter. At no point during this interaction was I given a medical assessment, despite my symptoms and difficulty standing. I ultimately decided to seek evaluation at an emergency department instead. Mistakes happen. What matters is how an organization responds to them. A patient who arrives for a confirmed appointment, particularly one experiencing concerning symptoms, should not be subjected to a preventable scheduling failure followed by inadequate communication and a lack of meaningful assistance. This experience demonstrated a disappointing lack of professionalism, organization, and consideration for patient well-being.

Have been seeing Dr. Phipps and/or his nurses for years and love the people and expertise there…read more However, in the past few years, the promptness of service has dramatically gone down. Every test result, prescription refill, etc., takes 3-4 phone calls AT LEAST to get something done/answers. Love the people there, but it's getting extremely frustrating.

I had to switch to Dr Phipps in Sept 2025 due to my long time physician going private. Initially I…read morewas very pleased with Dr Phipps and enjoyed the one-on-one conversations during my visits. Thought I'd found a really good replacement for my previous Dr of almost 30 years. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I recently requested a visit for lab work due to a handful of health concerns. It took them 1 month to call with results. Labcorp notified me my results were posted at their portal after 10 days. I was able to view and download the results but still needed Dr Phipps' expert opinion on most of it. I expected a call within days. If I had them, they had them. It took them three weeks to call me with results. I called and messaged during that time asking for feedback or updates on when I could expect to hear anything. I went three weeks with no response. When I did finally get a call, it was a joke. It was apparent he'd spent no time on the results and gave the nurse a few buzzwords to appease me. The labcorp results showed my bloodwork numbers from last Sept right next to the new results. When I asked what the Dr thought about the improvement (some dramatic) over the previous 6 months, I was told "oh he didn't have those in front of them". Bullshit. I had them. He had them. It was lazy and extremely disappointing. Also, during my visit Dr Phipps recommended a new Rx that he believed would be better for me when compared to what I was currently taking. Immediately there were pharmacy and insurance problems. I needed Dr Phipps to do one simple thing so I could proceed. I called and messaged repeatedly asking for his help. To this day, 5.5 weeks later, I still have not received a response to these requests. If you're looking for a family physician that will provide timely and thorough results, consistent and timely feedback/communication, and the level of "give a damn" that you'd expect from a family physician, Phipps Family Medicine is not for you!

In the past I would have highly recommended this place, we have been going here for years. but on a…read morerecent visit my son was misdiagnosed and had to be hospitalized not even 10 hours after his appointment after I took him to ER to get a second look at him. You would think the least they would do would be return the copay since they misread the x-ray and my 1 year old son was in critical condition by the time I got him to the ER after the doctor at this urgent care assured me he was fine and made me feel "overbearing" for wanting further research done on his condition and being adimate my son didn't seem okay. Hours later they are struggling to stablilize his oxygen levels and he has to be transported via ambulance to cooks Fort Worth for pneumonia, after they had already done an X-ray at this doctors office and told me he was fine. ***UPDATE: I finally reached someone who listened to our experiences and they offered a refund "that would be mailed to me" I got a letter from them and opened it expecting a refund check And to my suprise then changed their minds and sent me a letter to inform me of that after agreeing to one over the phone. it's impossible to reach anyone at this office who can help and I've spent hours on the phone. I am fuming! I don't want to waste any more time at this point I'm never going to visit again and wanted to share my experience so no one goes thru the same! Aweful customer service at the very least, regardless of the terrible malpractice and misdiagnosis.

We have gone here after hours a couple of times and they are always kind and very thorough. I…read morehighly recommend them.
