I found a surgeon the next day who was upset that they didn't immediately send me to the ER. Because they did not, the gallbladder died before the surgery a couple of days later which caused further issues. Additionally, I asked four different people about checking in for insurance, etc. I was there for several hours before someone addressed this. As you can guess, I am getting numerous additional bills. I would NOT recommend this place for an emergency.

He had shortness of breath and alot of discomfort. As a scared mother I ran up to the front desk and said my son can't breathe we need help right away. The front desk woman paused, looked right me and rolled her eyes. As if to indicate I was being dramatic. She took her time getting our information down with alot of attitude and called in shortness of breath after a good 10mins. She was joking with the other staff in the background and had no professional or urgency. My son ended up being very sick and needed breathing support for several day afterwards. The carelessness continued when we found out his medications were not called in and he had to wait another day for medication he needed. I'm pissed but my child suffered. He deserved better care.

Dr. Jim and Dr. Pam are married pediatricians and really just fantastic doctors. We see both doctors and appreciate the flexibility that this setup provides. I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment or getting in the same day with a sick child. I appreciate how thorough they are--our well child checkups are always at least 20 minutes. This is definitely not the type of doctor that is in and out in 5 minutes before you can say a word. They have thoughtful and non-intrusive suggestions to problems you bring up and are very proactive with any issues or concerns you bring to their attention. It is very apparent that they are practicing from an evidence-based approach and keeping on top of new research. As the wife of a doctor in training, I also appreciate that they take the time out of their busy day to allow med students from UTSW to rotate through their office. They always ask permission from the parents before letting the student do a preliminary exam (they come back and do the full exam later), but it is wonderful that aspiring doctors are getting to see how a well-run and caring office can function. The staff is lovely and always friendly. This has not been the case at other doctors offices I have visited, and while it isn't a deal breaker, it is appreciated.

Everything was running on time and the staff, nurses, and his doctor were all extremely efficient. I was kept updated of his status via text and the waiting room wall computer from start to finish. We never felt rushed while he was in the recovery room. They checked on him numerous times while in recovery. Even checked on me to make sure I was comfortable. The entire staff were friendly and accommodating to his needs. I would recommend this clean and professional hospital to anyone. Thank you for taking care of my brother. Plenty of ample parking!

Was recovering nicely but started being confused. Every doctor we saw said recovering nicely and blamed the meds for confusion. Nurses were short staffed and my mother was in a wing alone while all the nurses stayed at the other station. Family was with her from 7am until midnight throughout her stay because we were concerned. Talked to head nurse about more care because she kept pulling out her tubes and IV's in her confusion. When asked if she had any type of infection was told was on high antibotics that would take care of again blaming meds for confusion. We saw every doctor and never were we told my mother was in any danger. She was never given the blow indicator for her lungs after surgery and in hindsight found out she had xrays that said possible pneumonia, again never being told this by doctors or nurses. Was not being monitored for respiratory except oxygen on finger every four to six hours. By time they figured out things were not good and moved her to the floor with more care it was too late. My mother crashed and died. We were blindsided by this experience and looking back over test done they should have been doing more to address issues in the test and they were not. This hospital is extremely risky to take someone you love to unless you know enough medically to advocate and stay 24/7, I would never go back there or take anyone there. They are extremely negligent in the care my mother was given and unfortunately, we trusted the doctor reports and didn't go read the test ourselves until it was too late. Used to be a great place, not anymore.
