I've been going to old town family practice for several years. My experience has always been pleasant, and staff is always friendly. It's easy to reach and has reliable parking. Walls are a little thin, but that's just a building issue. Medical staff changes somewhat frequently but I have no issue with them in any case. read more

Although my in office experience was pleasant enough, a few weeks later I received a bill which was odd because I made sure I would not owe anything before I got there and before I left the visit. Turns out, they charged me for an entire "second visit" because they simply stated I needed to see a specialist about one of my concerns and gave me a referral. No one mentioned a single thing about charging me just for them to tell me to see a specialist. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be returning to this office. Extremely annoyed and disappointed that offices continue to screw people out of more money. I recommend going elsewhere or asking very specifically what your visit covers and which QUESTIONS cost extra... read more

This was my second visit. Expect to see a PA, which was not the problem. The biggest problem was how if you're going in for an annual check up, expect to not discuss anything besides normal blood pressure, etc. or you will be billed as another appointment. It was on at least 2 visible forms around the office. I knew this; however, can you not ask for a recommendation? I had an uncomfortable sore I've been trying to get treated and referral for and was simply pointed to the person next door to go and didn't need a referral. No care, concern, time, or even a glance at what I was suffering from. Not only that, but I had two people training for my appointment. I think it's fine to have one person train, but for both it felt completely impersonal and questions were asked that didn't pertain to my visit in the past. So disappointed. read more

I switched to Old Town a year ago and now have 2 physicals under my belt. I would recommend Old Town without hesitation.

So I followed Dr. Matthew Roberson here when he joined this practice. I went once and it was an ok office visit. The front desk lady was very short and not very personable. It took forever to get my labs back and for them to call me. Then I had some side effects from the meds they put me on and I couldn't call and talk to an actual person whether it was a nurse or doctor. That's not an option. You have to send an email to the nurse and then a day later they get back to you. This is insane to me. I love Dr. Roberson but I just can't do it. Our family has been treated by Dr. Tony Swaldi and his wonderful staff for approaching twenty-five years. The primary-care practice is always busy because it is so good, but Dr. Swaldi mentors and supervises young Physician Assistants in maintaining control over his ever-expanding workload. His attention to detail in his patients' lives is crucial in his successful ability at determining the appropriate course of medical treatment, and he has a ready list of supremely-qualified specialists when referrals are indicated for the patient's well being. The practice is conveniently located in a building that he had constructed in Old Town Coppell, between the Seniors Center, Grapevine Springs Patk and the new housing that the coty of Coppell is promoting in its revival of its Old Town / Farmers Market area. Dr. Swaldi has been recpgnized often by the Coppell Independent School District for his outreach effprts and, deservedly, for veing such an asset to the community. read more

The woman at the window is terrible they need to fire her immediately and hire somebody new she is a racist stereotyping person my wife had a bad experience and she knew right away that she collected the balance first and then shaved her because she was only six minutes late to her appointment. So if you're late to an appointment it's OK to take my neighbor then tell them after you take the money to come later are you kidding me really??? Dr Swaldi is a sweetheart and an excellent doctor he has been taking care of me and my family for a long time. Because of him we will go back and I feel bad giving him a bad review that's why I did five stars for the doctor as far as the woman at the counter you should be ashamed of yourself read more

So we've supposedly have Dr Swaldi as our family doctor for several years - but no one in our family had EVER met him. We call to make an appt, and someone else ALWAYS comes into the room instead of him - guess he's too busy being a hero to be a doctor. Oh, and my husband, after quarantining for 10 mo, went in for an exam to refill a prescription (which was done again by a nurse), and a week or so later - had Covid. We'll be looking for a new Doc who actually wants to take patients. read more

I think the NPs and PA (Britney, Priscilla and Carol) are awesome and exceptional and the reason I trust my care to these providers!...with the exception of Megan who has been condescending to both me and my daughter. Can't win them all. The aforementioned are very knowledgeable and quick to answer emails and give lab results even on off hours. I only had two meetings with Dr. Swaldi in the 15 years I've been there...when he first opened his office and for a benzodiazepine medication consult. I could tell he didn't want to have a patient on a controlled substance and made me feel bad and guilty. I had to go to a psychiatrist to manage this medication who actually understand what depression, stress and anxiety are and how they can impact ones career and quality of life. No one really wants to be on antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds but life can deal circumstances that can be difficult and unbearable to the point that these medications are indicated unfortunately. I've been on the same dose for over 15 years that I started once I had to go back to work as a single mother in a very stressful nursing career. I want to taper off when I can retire. The office staff are hit and miss. Lab is great! Overall, this a great and thriving practice due to the awesome NPs and PA who work there. read more

Friday at 4:25pm I was bit by my own dog.(my fault). As I knew OTFP was about to close I called to see if they could call in an antibiotic fully expecting them to tell me to go to the ER as most physicians offices would. Well they asked how fast I could get there and to come on. They could have easily told me to head to the ER but instead I was in and out with a visit, a tetanus shot and antibiotic called to my pharmacy all for my copay. I am so grateful for the care I got and so thankful that there is a PCP office in Coppell that puts others before themselves. It would have been easy for them to to tell me they were almost closed but no I was more important than that. THANK YOU TO Laura and Megan for caring. OTFP always the best in my book!! read more

this is a team of absolute gems. doctors who truly care about you and see you as more than just a patient. ive been going here since i was a baby (am now 22) and swaldi's team has watched me grow up over these years. since march, ive been dealing with terrible nausea and stomach pain that seemed to happen constantly no matter what i tried. megan cusack has cared for me during this issue and has been the only doctor in the mass that ive seen that actually listens to me and has done everything in her power to help me get to the bottom of this. she believed my pain and empathized and did more than just throw tums and pepcid my way like all the other gastroenterologists have. she changed my opinion on doctors in the industry when doctors who care are so few and far in between. and this past week we finally got some results! i live in the denton area now but i will always be willing to make the drive down here because this team and their level of care is absolutely worth it. read more

My family and I have gone to Old Town Family Practice (aka Dr. Swaldi's office) for more than 10 years. We have been very pleased with everyone -- from the administrative staff, to the PAs, to Dr. Swaldi himself. I personally know someone whose life was likely saved because Dr. Swaldi caught his cancer very early. Also, I have personally witnessed Dr. Swaldi help an elderly patient all the way through the waiting room door to the parking lot just to make sure she made it out safely. As icing on the cake, I don't have to wait too long to get in when I need an appointment. So I feel very fortunate to have a medical practice of this quality so close to home, and I gladly trust my own health and my family's health to these folks. read more

This review is due to the staff versus Dr Swaldi. However, leadership is always top down. This was a good practice but now even something as simple as a refill verification from a pharmacy can take days or weeks. Called this morning to ask if the could please verify a refill that was called in yesterday. Receptionist was nice but told me their policy is they have 24 hours to respond to pharmacy requests for refills. Wonder how many patients had any input on that policy. Now over 24 hours and still no response from Dr Swaldi's office. read more

Really just RUDE people. Have been coming here for years and dealing with it. BUT I just witnessed the receptionist, Rachel, tell a sweet old lady to literally go away and refuse to help her, cause her visit wasn't scheduled for another month. Stating that she was out of her medicine and unable to log onto the patient portal. Receptionist shrugs it off and tells her to go to the website. It was an embarrassing ordeal for the woman and she left confused, frustrated and with nothing. It would break my heart if that was my grandma, it was tough to watch. I personally have had several medications jammed down my throat here. Really seems like they are trying to rack up money and force you to come in for med checks. But the lack of respect and rude treatment is ridiculous. I can see why this place has 2 stars, but I'm only giving it 1 because a person shouldn't be made to feel this way when they are only seeking help from what should be a trusted doctor. read more

Don't do it...I wish I would have listen, I went in for one issue and was charge for another issue. I have left five message for the office manager to call me back, still no call back, this has been going for too long, but I get text message asking for money, I will pay weeks now. Doctors appointment was on 12/28/18, still waiting, even my insurance called to resolved the billing issue still nothing. Don't go to this doctor's office. It will cause more issues for you in the long run. read more

I called Dr. Swaldi's office after extensive research and inquiries about the best offices in the area. I heard nothing but great things about the doctors, but unfortunately will never make it in to see them due to the absolutely inexcusable attitude from the receptionist. I have never dealt with anyone so rude in my life, and for absolutely no reason whatsoever. After having a rough couple years with medical issues and trying to find a new doctor due to my old practice falling apart, I was eager to get in to see one of the two doctors here. These doctors have great reputations and should be more concerned with their staff, as I have seen several bad reviews about them. Really disappointed. read more

Spoke on the phone with a lady named "KK" and she was extremely rude on the phone after my wife informed the staff that she was going to be a few minutes late for her appt. Sad to know they've hired such inconsiderate staff. read more
