He could have been a random guy off the street for all he acted like a doctor. I came in due to unexplained bleeding after a week of immense pain and arm numbness. I had surgery for endometriosis and fibroids eight weeks ago. The treatment I received was abysmal. Some highlights -- "I'm worried about the bleeding, I know the pain in my back may be normal due to my illness. I just want to make sure I'm not having a stroke or anything." "You can't have a stroke in your lower abdomen." "What pain meds are you taking?" "I've been taking both Tylenol and Ibuprofen every two hours because I'm in so much pain." "You should try Aleve." Woah, no way? Aleve? Hold the phone. I never thought of that. Then he gives me a paper that says not to take Aleve because it'll cause me to bleed more. Uh oh. And a paper to explain what a painful heavy period is! To someone with a chronic reproductive disease. I still can't decide what part of this visit was the most disrespectful or condescending. It's a hard one. He looked at my surgical scars at one point, asked if I had a fibroid removed like he didn't believe me, and then stated that typically fibroids are removed from a larger incision. I was told he can't support or help with anything gyno related, but somehow he's an expert on laparoscopies and thinks he can criticize my surgeons work when he didn't even listen to a single thing I'd said to him since I'd been there. Did he think I was lying about getting a fibroid removed? Probably. They took my blood pressure multiple times and I, a healthy individual ACCORDING TO HIM, could not get Systolic pressure under 155. When I got there ONE SEVENTY FIVE. A cardiac episode is 180. He told me it's probably the pain. Wait, so the Aleve I took this morning isn't working? What? You said that should help. Why is my arm numb from my shoulder to my fingers? Who knows. Obviously not him. I think his excuse was that I laid on it wrong. Why has it been hurting since Friday night? A medical mystery. My insurance is paying thousands of dollars so Sherlock Holmes can tell me I laid on my arm wrong. I finally gave up trying to advocate for myself and just agreed with him so I could go home. I got no answers for my pain or my bleeding. He thinks I'm fine! So healthy. I can't believe my insurance is going to have to pay for this. The only reason I got meds in IV for my pain while I was waiting for my blood work was because I cried in front of my nurse and he advocated for me. I was the only person there at 4:30am this morning and seriously you would think I was one of 100 in that ER with how I was treated. I had to get up to go the bathroom and wouldn't you know, he was standing around doing absolutely nothing. The only person who cared about me was my nurse. Strangers that hold the door open for me in public show me better care, respect, and compassion than this DOCTOR who literally gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to do care for people in their time of need. Like what a spit in the face. And for what? I just wanted help. If I have a cardiac event or god forbid a stroke between now and Monday when I see my general doctor, I will find this hospital at fault. I am still not over how even an EKG wasn't even at least offered. That's standard practice with symptoms I displayed. Thankfully tomorrow is Monday so I can actually go to my general doctor that cares if I live or die. My discharge instruction was to lose weight. :) pain? No you're just a fat pig. EDIT FOR STAFF WHO READ THIS - If you are not the doctor who talked to me like a dog than don't apologize for him please. I don't want an apology, you've done nothing wrong. The rest of your staff was amazing. Either fire him or teach him social skills so he doesn't make another woman cry. I had a recent hospitalization at Texas Presby in Flower Mound. I was told by the hospital to…read morefollow up with my PCP but he moved recently and is too far for me to continue seeing him so they recommended I try and follow up with any Texas Health provider since it was all the same system and they could easily access my files. I found Dr Olivier through my insurance. I went to her website and marked that I had not been seen in that practice in the past 3 years then I selected the option for a new patient hospitalization follow up and proceeded to make myself an appointment. I received a text confirming my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I found (and paid) a babysitter to watch my son to make the appointment smoother. When I showed up, the lady at the front told me I had no appointment. I kept insisting I did (she didn't even seem interested in trying to verify anything and I had to reiterate about 3 times that I had one), so she finally asked my phone number to look it up. After giving my phone number, she told me they cancelled my appointment because they are not accepting new patients. I told her I selected new patient hospitalization follow up and she told me it didn't matter because they were not accepting new patients. I then asked why they didn't bother to let me know they cancelled my appointment, and she told me they sent me a text message. I asked what day they text and she said July 18. I checked ALL my texts and the only one I got from them that day was the one CONFIRMING my appointment. I tried to show her the text and she wouldn't even look at my phone. I asked why they text instead of calling to let them know and in a very condescending and rude tone, she said "that's just how we do things". I understand if you're not taking new patients. But if you're not, then why was I able to make a "new patient hospitalization follow up" appointment? And if it's a mistake, why are you just going to text someone saying an appointment was cancelled because they can't accept you? And then when they never got the text, why be condescending and rude instead of apologizing and trying to be helpful?! She was just so dismissive and made me feel like it was just my problem and I was the one who messed up. And for reference, I attached the text message I received. Dr Olivier might be a good doctor, I don't know. But her staff could definitely learn some kindness and etiquette. I walked a couple suites down to suite 125, which is another Texas Health PCP and the ladies there were so much more helpful and kind.

I am immunocompromised and have lupus, asthma, heart issues, so respiratory illnesses are especially serious for me. I did receive some prescriptions, and I clearly told the nurse assistant to send them to CVS. However, they were sent to my local pharmacy instead. I had to call back multiple times to get this corrected. When I arrived at CVS, there were only two prescriptions available. I had to call back again to find out what happened to the cough syrup, and was told it had been sent at the same time. Ultimately, I was told to use over-the-counter cough syrup instead. I'm not a doctor, but I've been dealing with serious health problems since I was 23, and I know what has worked for me in the past. 875 mg Augmentin has consistently treated my sinus infections, and I usually receive cough syrup with codeine. During this visit, my biggest issue was severe rib pain from constant coughing, and I felt that concern was not taken seriously. Overall, I was not pleased with the care I received. Please listen more carefully to your patients, especially those with chronic and complex medical conditions.

Dr. Haque listened to me , believed me and followed up on my concern . That wasn't the best part.... Once he knew it was cancer, he took complete charge of the situation , presented my options and told me what his preference was. THAT is what I want to hear from my doctor. He was assertive and in control of the situation . I loved that because I went to an expert and I didn't have an opinion ( otherwise I'd be an endocrinologist ) and he had my opinion for me. Through the whole process of surgery and RAI, this doctor called me regularly to check on my progress even though another surgeon he recommended, did my surgery. The surgeon, Dr. Garner also told me that Dr. Haque remains engaged with his patients so if he told me to do something different to what she told me ---- to go ahead and do what he says ... lol. He remained involved and engaged and at all times I knew, I was in good hands . I don't know what I don't know but he took charge and for that , my family and I are truly grateful. If you are looking for a touchy feely guy who will wipe away your tears - this is not your kind of doctor . His caring and comfort comes from providing outstanding medical care - making sure he does the best he can to make you well again. I suggest a therapist for the hand holding stuff. This medical professional scores high points with me and I would have NO hesitation recommending him to anyone. He has a great PA and his nurse Jessica is the absolute best. She is a little quirky and has a highly developed sense of humor. If you are the kind of person that doesn't enjoy that , just ask her to tone it down. I love it so I encourage it. This office has always returned my calls and been responsive to my questions . They have been kind and supportive through my recent challenges and I'm not the easiest patient . I'm rebellious and I have attitude and Dr. Haque and his team have gently worked to make me whole again. Lastly, this is not a doctor who will ask for your opinion - why should he ? He gets paid to have my opinion for me when it comes to my health. I have no problem recommending you entrust your health to him. As for all the blah about his office staff - not true - they are great. Hope you visit Dr. Haque and hope he helps make you healthy. The only problem I have with him is that he expects me to keep a record of my blood sugar. Hmmmm he hadn't quite figured out I only take it when I'm being good . I am a type 1 diabetic and Insurance makes life difficult to manage medications but the quality of care is so bad that after trying 3 different physicians over the past dozen years I am switching diabetes care after another sleepless week without foot pain medication and although this office is less than 2 miles from my home I am willing to drive to another city to make sure I no longer wait over a week routinely for refills of meds I've been taking for 20+ years.
