The egg rolls that I got, they're definitely on the smaller side. The sashimi is interesting, however, for sushi, plating is a must. I feel like the people that work there didn't want to be there at all. We ordered some salads and other stuff and for some reason, they never arrived. It was okay at best, I wouldn't repeat.

You should not judge a book by its cover. The exterior is ugly. Butt ugly…read more The interior is dark - zero natural light because the building is UGLY! Zero windows. Enough about that stuff. As we entered the entryway, we were WARMLY welcomed with a hearty "HI!!" We chose the Hibachi side of the dining room. Promptly seated and serving plate, silver and napkins in place. Thanks to experienced Alex - the chef's assistant. Alex was super personable, friendly and FUNNY! We enjoyed him immensely. Our chef - O.G. - arrived with his side cart loaded with sauces, a huge tray of beautifully prepared veggies, generous portions of rice and smallish proteins which were over priced. My five small scallops were cooked to perfection. Exceedingly tender with the proper bit of char. Delicious! But I sure could have enjoyed a couple more of those morsels. We were a party of four. Two opted for strictly chicken and the last of our group did a chix/shrimp combo. The chicken, sadly, was overcooked. O.G. was entertaining and an interesting conversationalist.

I've never seen that level of interaction before, and it definitely made the meal more enjoyable. The food was good and cooked well, but the portions were smaller than what you typically get at most hibachi places, so don't expect to have leftovers. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated, but it was clean, which I appreciated. Overall, a fun experience with good food--just go in knowing the portions are on the smaller side.

Been coming to Thai Spice for years now and have always had good experiences but tonight's carry…read moreout was a pretty pitiful display. When I was picking up the order, a young man said "I can ring you up" and proceeded to hold his hand out. I asked to see my ticket before paying to make sure everything was right and he seemed put off by the request. When I got home, my wife's yellow curry had pieces of potato and carrot in it that were totally raw. Not soft or firm, but totally hard. My chili chicken was watery and the chicken tasted old and rubbery and the veggies in the dish were also raw. The most depressing part though was the crab rangoon. I know they are usually smaller, but I didn't mind because they always had good filling. This batch tonight was embarrassingly under filled and for $10 I would expect to at least get a quarter of my moneys worth in cream cheese. To make it worse we found a stray hair in the to go box with the crab rangoons. Again, I love this restaurant and they could've just been having a rough night in the kitchen and front of house, but I'm not sure if my $50 ticket is worth what I am getting anymore.

How did I let someone talk me into this place?…read more First problem... The wait. No real organization coming in the door; so often waiting just to be seated, even if there are lots of open tables. Shouldn't matter that much for a buffet. Second - Signs are up all over the place telling workers how to perform their work. Including cleaning items. All of these SHOULD be just standard work that anyone working in a buffet can/would do. Just because you wrote it in a foreign language doesn't mean it is decor... it proves that your staff doesn't clean unless you repeatedly tell them. Third - Place was NOT clean. Bathrooms hadn't been touched. The table we sat at was sticky. Food was on the floor (I don't blame staff for this... this is a clientele issue!) But still had to clean things off the bottom of my shoe before getting back in the car. Four - It all tasted the same. Didn't matter if it was pork, chicken, shrimp, etc... just wasn't good food. Five - This is way too expensive for what you receive/tolerate here. It is apparent from the other reviews that people get wowed by the size of the place and the size of the buffet. It is a neat setup. But as consumers, we need to demand better food, because THAT is why you are there. Sushi was as cheaply made as it could be, and no one was manning the M-BBQ counter, so that wasn't an option on the day we were there.

I ordered a house large poke bowl, and when I got home, I realized it had mango, kimchi, and several other ingredients that are not included in the bowl's listed ingredients. I drove back with the bowl and my receipt, but the employee at the counter insisted those were the correct ingredients. I had to pull up the restaurant's website on my phone and show him the ingredient list before he checked the recipe in the back and had the bowl remade. While the correct bowl was eventually made, the interaction was uncomfortable and dismissive. There was very little communication, and the employee simply handed me the replacement, said "sorry," and walked away. I also tried calling afterward to speak with a manager. I was told the manager would be there at 1:00pm, but when I called again later, they still were not available. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have had an incorrect order or missing items, so I have gotten into the habit of checking our food before leaving. I am not looking for a refund or anything complimentary. I simply wanted to share this feedback because we genuinely enjoy the food and would love to feel more confident ordering takeout again. A little more consistency and communication when mistakes happen would go a long way.
