Wow. This Salon is hands down the best salon in Lodi. It's super classy, updated and the decor and plants make me feel like I'm at a high end salon in NYC. Madelyn has been my stylist that I've been going to her for years and she's AMAZING! She is so talented, she listens, she's open to trying new things with my hair and her main goal is to make me happy. She's also very fun, friendly and happy to be there which makes the whole experience even better! I love that they also carry different lines of hair/face care that I'm not used to seeing everywhere. These brands are legit and have become a staple for me. The vibes I get from this place is that they treat their employees right because they ALL seem so happy. Had cut and color twice. First time great! Second time color was red (i specifically said I did not want any red in my hair). While color on wet, said it didn't look right but was dismissed and told can't go by what it looks like until rinsed out and dried. After rinsed and dried, VERY RED! stylist tried to fix two more times but could not get all the red out. Offered to try again but I declined as this was hours later. Afterward my hair was so much more damaged. Offered to fix later on but haven't been back. Very expensive salon to begin with so decided to move on. Even after all that I was charged full cost and I even gave a tip ! (My bad) Would have been nice if stylist had considered what I said regarding color looking red as it may have washed out at that point especially since she was somewhat inexperienced as evidenced by her need for assistance even first time and of course with how to fix it the last time. Also don't feel I should have been charged for the color! Waiving that cost would have gone a long way since it was not at all what I wanted. Could not consider a 4th attempt due to damage. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with this salon. Bailey was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She set me up with a consultation to see what I had envisioned. I showed her a few pictures and she explained the price and process. Went back and she left my hair exactly how I wanted. She was super friendly and easy throughout the whole process. She always checked in on me. When we got to the cutting part she made sure my length was what I wanted. Once it was all done she blow dried my hair and checked in with me if the results were what I wanted. I love that she didn't curl my hair right away too but that's more of my preference. For the new year, I wanted a refreshing look, so I had a balayage look in mind with a mix of brown tones and a bit of Blondish-caramel pop. I contacted Mint Salon and immediately got a response back. I came to see Ashley and she was very thorough and sweet. She gave me a cut that worked with my fine, thin hair to make it look more full which I LOVE. The coloring part was a bit less exciting. The first time, turned out too dark and didn't have any pop. She tried to fix it by giving it more caramel-brassy color to it. Which turned out okay but wasn't what I had in mind. The overall experience was very good. I adore Ashley, the place was cute and had a ton of station so I didn't feel claustrophobic. But the result wasn't what I had in mind. Finally,. I found a stylist (Morgan Kelly) that I can trust and who remembers details about things I don't want done to my hair; i.e. layering that's too short. I quit going to any stylist for over a year because I had a fear that this would keep happening but decided that doing my own hair is just too much of a chore. So checked out reviews and made an appointment with her. She also is great with color as I'm letting my silver/gray hair grow out so she highlighted it and now I don't have the issue of my hair fading out almost as soon as it's done. First I would like to say Mint salon is beautiful. It's aesthetic is both modern and fresh. It has a nice sense of feeling calm and welcomed. I felt safe in the salon with everyone wearing masks, 6ft distancing and all measures followed. Second I would like to comment on my amazing stylist Brooke. She was very helpful, caring and friendly. I have never had my hair colored before and she ask for pictures of what I was looking for prior to our visit, and she knock it out of the park. She responded to my messages on a timely fashion, very professional, and she was flexible when I was available. I work in Sacramento, but live in Lodi and finding a salon that is open later in the evenings is usually difficult for me. When I saw that Mint was open later than most businesses, I decided to give them a shot. I called and was greeted by someone friendly. They told me that Melanie was available for the time I requested and that she would call me back. Melanie got in touch with me quickly and I was able to call/text her. When I met her, she was friendly and personable. She gave me the cut I precisely asked for (usually I ask for a trim and end up with way more hair cut than I wanted). She gave me great tips and asked if she could use specific products in my hair before just using it, which I really appreciated. Just an FYI for those that do go to Melanie. She only accepts cash or check. I failed to ask beforehand, but she was accommodating and allowed me to go to the ATM. Overall, Melanie made my salon visit a pleasure. Went Lindsay Wentz in 11/19/22. I had to wait about a month or so. I specifically asked for the new style shag. She stated she took classes with Jayne at Edo Salon in Oakland, I was a little elated. Well she shaped my hair not what I requested, I really don't know what this cut is besides $75 of I can't tell not current shag. Too busy talking about lunch with her neighbor. Calling her out, as this is not a shag. I have my license, please don't say you can do something you can't. Not knocking salon just the owner/ dresser. Would be happy to have to have paid more to someone who knows what there doing. I wasn't going to the YELP, I feel like she misrepresented. I don't care if it's nasty.
